Very fun to play and a really interesting game mechanic with the orbiting bullets!
It's like playing Burnout - but going for near-misses with bullets instead of cars ;p
Getting so close to the shots whilst also thinking about avoiding them makes for some addictive gameplay :)
This was pretty fun! Great idea! I didn't check, but this might be more fun with gamepad support. Thanks for also supporting arrow keys for lefties!
Cool idea to use enemy bullets! Nice graphics, so stylish! Good job!
Loved this mechanism! This will surely be addictive and fun to play. I do think the magnet range for grabbing the bullets are a little bit narrow and you have to really get close to collect bullets. Sometimes you think it would snap to you but it won’t. Also walking speed personally think is a bit too slow. but I feel that it is a design decision.
Overall loved the game, great work!
Thanks very much for the feedback! Under the jam rules I was allowed to make an update to fix the slow movespeed issue on slower comps (some ppl were moving slower than bullets making the game unplayable) and maybe thats what happened here. Assuming you ran into a similar issue it should play much better now!
Haha I love the concept of a bullet hell where you actually need to stay close to the bullets in order to play the game, very smart! Great job!
Nice twist on the bullet hell genre. I had fun playing it. I just wish the bullets orbiting the player would be a bit more tight, it's not exactly clear when they will orbit or not (moving around seems to help). I realized that your levels are always randomly generated so that's a nice touch too :)
I love the story setup with Pluto having something to prove. The orbital pickup and firing mechanic was very creative. Love the art. Well done.
If you like platformers, you might like to try out game - Lumi and the Dark Night.
Excellent concept and theme interpretation! I also loved the art, and absolutely loved the intro sequence. Nice!
Nicely made! I loved the idea of orbiting the enemy bullets around Pluto like the planet's gravity. Well thought! The boss on Level 11 was tough, but so much fun especially with the ability to latch several bullets before launching. The only downside that I faced is that we have to go through all the levels again if we die. Overall, it's a brilliant game! good job!
The story of the game is hilarious. I loved the sun just flicking Pluto across the solar system. The combat of this game is super fun! The orbit mechanic is such smart game design. You should be proud having thought of that. The feedback on hitting enemies is also very satisfying. Great game overall!
haha I guess the title was a reference to the Smiths! That's what made me play it haha.
Yeah we all felt bad about Pluto it's nice he can have a revenge.
Nice game, well polished!
This game feels like a roguelite you die and you must restart all again. I really like the concept of shoot with the enemy projectiles but I would love to have any way of upgrade Pluto after every run.
(Love the face of the sun looks like an anime villain)
This was fun to play! Really creative use of the attacking! And love the intro, both the story around it and the drawings :D
I wish we didn't have to start all over when dying though - I would like to finish this game instead of getting high score :)
Nice game. The controls were a bit confusing at first, but once I got used to it, it felt great to send the bullet hell back to the enemies.
The idea of slinging the bullets back is super cool, the most fun I had was collecting a bunch of them and smashing something in one shot.
I died a number of times thinking I was just collecting a bullet, it would be cool to have an indicator showing how close they needed to be to be caught. Or maybe have them just shoot alternate bullets that you could catch.
I suck at these games though so maybe other people wouldn't have as much trouble, story was fun too, Pluto getting it's revenge.
