I enjoyed this game but it was a little frustrating because I couldn't pick up the items after solving the puzzles :( I loved the idea and the art is nice!
Thanks and sorry!
This game is amazing :) The art and music are super pretty and gives a nice poetic vibe to the game
The puzzles are well thought, I had to wander around the map for quite a long time to figure out what I had to do haha.
Aw, thanks a lot for your kind words! =)
I enjoyed this short journey with Luna as she returned color to the world. I do wish that the game wouldn't freeze in certain places, such as the beach person or the miner girl. I cannot pick up the items after I solved the puzzle, rendering it impossible to complete. Still, good work!
Ah sorry for that, I think a few other people had this problem as well but I haven't been able to figure out what causes the bug though. Thanks for playing and taking the time to comment =)
Wow! Beautiful game! Superb illustrations and atmosphere created. I was able to mix colors before activating the fountain and getting the message, is it normal?
I went through the end of the game, really cool!
Great job!
Hey and thanks! Originally you had to solve the fountain to be able to mix but my beta tester (that is my wife and kids) also tried mixing before solving that and felt it was weird how it was locked behind the fountain. So I ended up keeping the puzzle as a sort of hint but if you figure it out on your own that'll work as well =)
Good thinking! :)
Nice adventure game, a bit easy but works fine and fun. Really liked the hand drawing graphics and the music. Congrats!
Thanks for playing and taking the time to comment! =)
Very nice graphics adventure with an interesting innovation on the usage of those colors :-)
I didn't understand that you can mix the colors until I read it in a message below, but after that I managed to play it until the end :-)
Thanks for playing and commenting!
The comments are also the hint section I guess =)
Unique concept and pretty art :)
Couldn't complete unfortunately due to not being able to pick up the pickaxe, but overall a relaxing, fun game!
Thanks for playing and commenting! Sorry about the bug, I think someone else in the comments had the same thing happen to them. Something for post-jam to fix perhaps =)
I thought it was a wonderful entry and a clever concept. The watercolory art style made it feel like I was interacting with a magical children's book. Maybe one piece of feedback is that at one point I didn't read some instructions right away (I think it was on how to mix the colors), and the text went away on its own. So I was stuck for a little bit until I figured it out on my own. Maybe let the player click through those prompts so they can read at their own pace. But in any case, this was great, nicely done!
Thanks for playing and taking the time to comment =)
And great feedback about the text, the one you missed is kind of important and since there is no way to re-read it might make you stuck. Will keep that in mind for next game!
Like the art style and concept, Great work!
Thanks! =)
I loved it- amazing graphics, cute concept and the mechanic was pretty easy to grasp.
I hit a bug where I didn’t get the axe after helping the miner; although luckily I took a peak at your source code and found a way to tweak it without replaying.
Thank you and glad you found a way around the bug. It just struck me now that that would have been a great thing for just this jam (since the github connection), to be able to complete the game you would need to look through the source. Nice meta level =)
I love your game. Especially with the idea of mixing colours and returning colours to nature. This is actually powerful and beautiful. Reminds me of the famous Japanese title “Okami” (the god of the sun). Excellent work!
Thank you! Okami looks very much like a game I would love, will need to check it out! =)
Very unique idea. It pleasantly reminded me the 1990's LOOM game where the game play was all about tunes.
Thank you! Loom might be one of the only Lucasarts game that I haven't played, will need to check it out! =)
Great job. I really like the hand drawn art and watercolor style. The painting puzzles were intuitive and fun. The game seemed to end quickly. I would have gladly played for longer.
Ah thank you for taking the time to play and comment =)
Really delightful experience :) I enjoyed every second of it
The gameplay mechanic is so simple yet so unique, awesome idea to use colors like that. I was pleasantly surprised when I realized I could mix colors (I figured it out before the fountain). The artwork and soundtrack are absolutely incredible as well. Hope your game gets more plays, totally deserves the attention. I'll share it with my friends :)
Aw thank you for taking the time to play and comment and for your kind words!
Best game I've played in this jam so far, it's really nice! Art is great but I especially like the music. Great job!
Thank you for your kind comments! =)
Nice game. You've got the look and feel down great. I breezed through the puzzles quite easily, but I enjoyed seeing the watercolour style art each time I coloured something in. I also seemed to be able to mix colours before the game "unlocked" the ability at the fountains? That is unless the voice was just advising me.
Thanks for taking the time to play and comment!
At first the mixing "ability" was locked behind the fountain-puzzle but my beta tester felt it was weird so I changed it so that if you discover that you can mix before solving the fountain it's all good, otherwise the fountain can work more as a hint of you will.
Yeah, that's fair enough. It works quite well as a discoverable mechanic. It was one of those nice little "aha" moments when I realised the palette wouldn't be able to fit more than 3 colours but I needed green for the jade.
Simple yet immersive, It feels so good.
Aw thanks! =)
Lovely game! Really nice aesthetics and cool idea. I was going to say that I had some issues but I just read that you can mix more than two colors hah. Maybe you could add some glow to the items you can pick up (so players don't get upset/worried about not getting the pickaxe, for example).
Thank you! And great idea about the glow, wish I thought about that earlier =)
The artistic part is very nice, the story is beautiful, I would think to make the gameplay more interesting
Thanks for taking the time to play and comment! =)
Like the drawing style, idea, and story. Gameplay was good, but couldn't get past that wooden bridge (are you supposed to be able to pick up the pickaxe in the mine? might've been a glitch). Maybe include hints?
Hey and thanks for playing =)
If you get past the bridge you have an answer to the pickaxe related question. Have you tried mixing more than 2 colors?
Ohhh right of course. Thanks!
