This game looks super good! And the camera rotation mechanic is awsome!

Thank you very much!

Cool puzzle game, and the visuals of the environment were incredible! I was not expecting a pixel style like that to rotate haha

Developer

Thank you, I'm glad you liked it!

And now I'm sad.

Incredibly polished, one of the best games I've played in the jam, awesome job!

Thank you very much!

That was really solid. I absolutely loved the presentation, everything from the player's cape to the rotating environment was spot on. How did you get that 3D effect? One thing is I actually ended up taking the left branch first which I felt was substantially harder than the right branch. Might be nice to have some indicator of which branch you should tackle first. Really dug the story. Poor Allan :( I also wish there was a dash mechanic or that the player moved a bit faster. The left puzzle took a while trying out different things just because it took a while to get back to the switches I needed to hit. Incredible polish for a 48 hour game jam, would really love to see a full game with this story, your presentation is immaculate.

So how did you get that 3D effect? I'm actually really curious.

Submitted

I think it might be a similar effect as in the game 'a short hike' .  Look up the GDC talk for it on YouTube.  If I remember it was a post processing effect on low poly 3d models~  It does look awesome however they did it :D

wow, the game looks so amazing, pure masterpiece .

Is this the faux 3d from gamemaker studio? It looks very unique. Nice color scheme (although the player kind of blends into the grass) and the puzzle was simple but well done. Short and (bitter)sweet narrative. Overall an enjoyable entry (although the ending was bummer)

Thank you for the feedback!

Really like the art style and atmosphere! I would have like the player to move a little bit faster, but beyond that I thought it was a really cool looking game!

Thank you very much for the feedback, I'm glad you liked it!

Really cool game! I really liked the subtle sound effects and art that made the game have a convincing atmosphere. I did find it a bit weird that the opening had no sound effects, and the room transitions weren't very smooth (perhaps it would be best to have the player always face the way they came when entering a new room) but this was a really cool game to play. Well done!

Art looks great and puzzles are challenging!

Thank you!

Damn I remember trying to make 3D games in game maker before switching to Unity. This is some god tier level graphics programming. Excellent presentation!

Developer

Thank you very much, I'm glad you liked it!

So you made a 3d game on game maker with a filesize of 2 mb. umm, are you a wizard?

Developer(+1)

Hahahahaha maybe! thank you very much!

Interesting take on the theme. Really cool art style like a mix of Far Blade and hyper light drifter

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much! Iìm glad you liked it!

i hope you made at least some of the art because it's the best art of the jam !
I didn't finish it, the player was really slow and during puzzles the main thing you do must be thinking, once you've thought, you test, then you have feedback. Here you think, then you walk 1 min then you test. It becomes boring and that's a shame, i'm sure it has a nice story.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! I did all of the art myself, but not all in those 48 hours (i already had some pixel art like the trees )

A really good aesthetic, I like that camera turning system though it didn't seem to have much use. I liked the story, even if I was able to predict the ending. But I DO like the non-cliche interpretation of the out of control theme.

Good job.

Nice game, I liked the story and the the 3D pixel art, though I initially though that the "move camera" meant that the camera shifts left to right, maybe instead of rotates.

Developer

thank you for the feedback! I'm glad you liked it!
