The ultimate match up, Mexicans vs Samurais

Impressive Graphics and very stylish menu. The gameplay felt a bit unfair though, the timing was quiet difficult. Also it would be cool to restart directly in the game scene. I always had to restart in the menu and then again choose a side. But besides that: very polished and impressive considering this was made during 48 hours :)

Thanks for the feedback! Good advice on adding a way to restart the battle once it ends

Thank you!

This game looks and sounds great! I'm very impressed by how you managed to put it together in 48h. The gameplay could use some work, though. Perhaps some kind of counter mechanic, a life meter, or something else to make the fights go on for a little longer.

As Mark would say, there's a lot of potench! :D

Thank you!!! It's so nice to see that you guys are enjoying our game, for real! We're gathering many ideas from all of the feedback that we've received so we can make a better game in the future.

Very cool! I have no idea how you got a game to look so good in the short amount of time.  There isn't a whole lot of gameplay, but the idea is there. One bug I noticed is that there is no lose screen. Nice job :)

Thank you so much! We're glad that you liked it (it was a lot of work) ! And about the lose screen, there's supposed to be a DEFEAT screen, I just tried it here and it worked, maybe you could try again?

There is a winning tactics: keep clicking until enemy drop the defense) Good luck!

Boo, I think it's nicer to try and have a fair fight with the Artificial Intelligence! Sometimes I like to make it last the longest as I can so I can hear the full song. Anyway, thanks for playing!

There's a lot of work in this game, I like the art of the UI ,  3d models of the characters and of course the music. However , I think mechanics could be more complex or fight an stronger enemy after defeating the first one and so on. Nice work!!

Thanks for the feedback!

I'm glad you liked our game. Yeah, we should have added more variations to the fighting mechanic. It got a little too simple.

I tried to add some difficulty variation as the fighting went on, but ultimately I failed to deliver it haha.

Thank you so much!

It's a very pretty game, with interesting aesthetics. I like the change of instruments depending on which character you choose.

The game itself isn't very funny tho, mostly because of the slow animations.  A fighting  game requires fast and responsive commands. A great reference for this kind of game is Punch Out! Great job nonetheless. Cheers.

Thank you for your feedback! Yeah, we kind of got the pacing wrong. But I'm glad we had so much feedback and a lot of ideas to make it work better.

The game looks great and the music is awesome. The idea is simple and fun but needs more variety in the attacks and defenses. Also, I am happy that I learned a Brazilian word (Now it is the only Brazilian word I know).

Muito obrigado! (It means "thank you very much" in potuguese. Now you know 3 words haha). I'm glad you enjoyed the game.  We tried to keep it simple but it also affected the pacing of our game.

Thank you for you feedback!

Great game!

I would love if the characters had more types of attacks for you to predict/react, but that would probably go against the jam’s theme.

The Cangaceiro Vs Samurai idea makes the game very unique and fun

: )

We're glad that you enjoyed it. We think about that in the beginning, but we would not have time to do it before delivery. So we decided to make it simples.

Cool artstyle and idea but i feel like it misses something. Perhaps some more depth to the combat system (of course there is so much one can do in 48 hours but maybe for the future) as it feels too simple right now. There are no counters and the game seems a bit unresponsive. I would suggest faster animations as these current animations make it look like a Matrix movie.

Nice sounds and models though, the game seems polished so props for that!

 As a whole, great job!

Thank you for your feedback! We're glad that you enjoyed it, for real!

These are some pretty good ideas and we can implement then for sure in the future. Our combat system is really simple indeed, but we are gathering lots of ideas from you guys so we can make this a fully enjoyable experience for everyone! So thank you for spending your time playing and reviewing our game in such a constructive manner. ❤️

Seems like a lot of work for only 48 hours. As a weabo, I obviously chose the samurai just for the saka of being edgy (thx for that experience). Overall, the game seems polished, but it lack content. After a few matches you don't have stuff to do. Also for my maste, it was a poor choice to use japanse like font, its quite unreadable and rather iritates than fulfill. Good job guys, keep going.

Thanks for the feedback.

I see. The guy below this comment gave some ideas on how to add some spice to the fighting mechanic and I believe that could help add more depth to the gameplay.

About the font I agree with you that there are some places that it gets to read and it's quite annoying. We'll be more careful about it on our next projects.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us!

Alright game, thought the animation and actions happen a bit to slow. would say there could been a block breaking mechanic, if the player continuously hold the block button the enemy would break that block and kill you, it would prevent those form just hold the block button.

Thanks for the feedback! The feature of breaking the defense of you opponent was discussed, but ultimately I wasn't able to deliver Also we talked about making a little "stamina" bar that would drain when you raise your defense, but I thought it would be fine if we just leave it as it is (totally my fault hahaha). Now I have to agree with you, we could have added some spice to the fighting mechanics. I'll be more cautious about it next time I do something like that. Thanks a lot!

Really like the art in this game :) The models and animations nicely done and the menu and in between elements look sharp, I like the style. The gameplay is good too, I expected some combos to do with one button :D

Thank you for your feedback! We're glad you liked it!

That's a great idea, we tought of only one way to defent or attack at first (since you and the enemy have only one life) but this is something that we can really think about in the future! Thanks for taking your time to play!

The graphics are beautiful ! I love the character design. The gameplay is simple but works well. It's really a pleasant game. Good job :D

Thanks! Our team is really happy to know that you enjoyed our game.

Well, it will sure be tougher for the next games I review after this one. The idea while simplistic holds an superb execution. Thank you for having spent the weekend on this, great work!

PS: As a brazilian fella, I won't accept to play as the ninja. Sorry ;D

Thank you fellow Brazilian!!!

Your comment makes my heart melt, I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Team Cangaceiros for the win!

Really clever control scheme, the models and animations look super nice. Lovely for a 48 hours jam!

Thank you so much!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I was to lazy to download the game but I do not regret it now. The way you can use a sword and a shield with only one key is amazing.

Thank you for the kind comment. We're glad you enjoyed the gameplay!

Thank you so much! We are really glad you enjoyed our game/controls. About the download part, we tried to put the browser version, but we weren't able to do it because of the problems with
