From the outstanding art to the witty dialogue, this game is a riot! I'm not good at dodging  stuff so I would enjoy a mode with fewer projectiles and more emphasis on memorizing  grocery store layout but that is purely personal preference. 'Expecting Groceries' is super high quality and deserves to place highly in this jam.

Nice game! I'm really impressed by the number of systems you managed to implement in such a short space of time, and how you styled each of these to fit into your theme.

Super cute game! I loved the dialogue, style, and art. The gameplay was fun, if a bit simple, but everything fit very well together, especially the lady throwing shrimp :P Awesome work!

Unfortunately I was unable to play the game as the default resolution it started in was too large for my monitor and did not fullscreen or have an option to.

Awesome game and dope music :D sometimes the photo of the person speaking and the text didn't match. but that was no biggie. Loved it! well done

loved the mechanics, music and graphics, this would be fantastic as a little mobile game time killer. I did found one issue, if you press Space near the wife, instead of clicking continue, while dialog is still going on, dialog resets and the portrait change on a never ending loop, but everything else is on point

Good idea for a game and pretty comical :) I liked the music as well. I feel like the dash getting stuck when sliding along wall was pretty jarring and could be a nice improvement. Good entry overall!

I thought free shrimps would boost my speed for some reason :D.Pretty simple but fun game.I really liked the character sprites reminds me of stardew valley :).Only problem i saw was swapping avatars but i think other commenters noticed that too.Overall great work :D

Great implementation of the theme, and the focus on collectibles! The music and arts could be improved but they’re great.

Controls were fine, but as an AZERTY keyboard user, using WASD is hard. If you can, try to add gamepad or arrow keys! Small things, when you start over, you have to go through the dialog again, which slows down the game.

Overall pretty great, congrats!

God damn free samples! I really like this concept had fun playing it. One bug I came across is when I was going through the text the character avatars swapped? Unsure if this was intended but thought I'd let you know! Look forward to seeing more updates :)

Very cool idea ;D I laughed so hard when I saw the shrimp-throwing lady! Really great job. The retro feel and art and sound fit together perfectly and remind me of those games from the late 80's early 90's. Great fun in any case! 

Don't you just hate when you go shopping and they throw free samples at you? This game was awesome! Art and audio pretty good and the core mechanic so well thought!

Oh man, I'd get sick if I had someone throw shrimp at me all day.  Just kidding I like shrimp, and I like this game.  The Art was stellar and so charming. This could be further developed into something awesome!

What a goofy game with lines like "my very pregnant wife" I was dying at how chaotic the grocery store was. the buckets falling from the sky and the free sample lady hucking shrimp at you. Honestly had a lot of fun with this but like some of the other comments said. Maybe a few more objectives would have been nice but I do like the short and sweet nature of the game.

Lester belly is so funny hahahahah, looks like he's pregnant lol
