How does your game fit the theme?
As a drunk thief, your movement is often out of control, causing you to stumble and crash into things. Not the best for a stealthy robber.

Really funny idea and great execution! Well done!

It really make me nervous seeing him hiccup so frequently and the noise level is reaching max and  i can't get through a door when time is running out. LOL   and i enjoyed it.

But i think it is okay to skip some easy levels 'cause, at the moment, i'm familiar with the control and idea enough but it forces me to wait too long before getting to a more challenging level.

Thanks for the feedback! The doors will be fixed when the upload freeze is lifted. The team is also looking into ways to make the game more fun and challenging for players like you who have to play through for a while to hit a good challenge. Stay tuned because we will have something down the line!

I really like this one--the art is cute and it's a great idea. Could definitely be expanded on more if it was to ever become a full game. I also found it hilarious that if you bump into something, it goes flying across the house and just explodes. Great work!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! The team is considering some expansions and game-play adjustments for when the upload freeze is lifted. I'm glad you enjoyed the flying objects, I added that on a whim in about 15 minutes and it made a huge difference in making the game more fun.

Love the thumbnail art and the stylized character!

Developer

Thanks! I'll make sure to let the artist know!

Thanks for bringing it to the stream:

Thanks for the feedback! The team will look into the possibility of taking any items and having a weight limit or having the beer be always get-able for some form of bonus like score multiplier or extra time. I like the pass out idea as well!

This is a really fun idea. I like the character's movement. Maybe there could be something with the visuals as well in a post-jam version. There are definitely a lot of cool possibilities to build on here. Love the bonus "smash" level. Congrats on finishing!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback, the team has gotten a lot of ideas about additional visual effects to use, character swaying, rotating camera, etc. We're going to test a few out to see what fits the best and what is the most fun for the game. Glad you liked the smash level!

Nice game! It's really hard to get through the doors :D

Developer(+1)

yeah that is something we plan on messing with since it has messed with a lot of people. Thanks for the feedback and I hope you enjoyed!

Cute game!

Nice game. The play button already made me smile haha. When the sirens started I actually turned around because my window was open.. When I lifted my headset I realized it was the game :’) good job :P

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you got a kick out of the play button and I'm sure you're not the only one who thought the siren was outside of the game. One of our play testers did the same thing :)

The game's not too long, and it's got a nice difficulty curve! Well done.

Nice work! I loved the little bits of worldbuilding with the newspaper, and items comically exploding when you bump into them.

Here are some suggestions you might want to try, if you revisit this game:

The noise level meter doesn't seem to instill any form of pressure, at least to me. You might want to try slowing the falloff of the meter, so it's based on how much noise occurs within a certain period of time.

The occasional drunken shift in the movement is a good start; you can try adjusting the movement direction by a few angles over time, maybe using a slow sine wave. Similarly, you can adjust the movement speed in a similar fashion, where there are periods of slowness and quickness.

Other than that, this game is pretty humorous and well put-together. Good luck!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Those are great ideas, I've seen a lot of suggestions for making the character feel more drunk but you are the first to suggest the sine wave. I like that idea and will see if we can implement it down the line. Thanks again!

Pitching in drinking as the reason why the character is out of control is really clever. Well done.

Hey IanGoGo!

Funny game. I love how everything explodes when I interact with it.

I would like a more clear indication of intoxication before completing the level. I wasn't sure if i was picking up the beer or just throwing them?

Maybe add some post processing to make you seem more and more drunk. Spinning may be a bit overwhelming.

If you have time I would love it if you could try my game and give feed back. Its called Drone.

Developer(+1)

Hey Brightfield Studios,

Thanks for the feedback! The team tried to show intoxication level with the number of bubbles over the character's head, I think it was to subtle, the team will be looking into ways to make the character feel more drunk. I've seen other people suggest a slow camera spin, so I may try that in the future.

Submitted

Great idea :) I agree with the need for fine tuning for the drunkenness feeling, tbh I only failed when I couldn't find the items on time - the noise meter didn't scare me much.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! The noise meter will be fine tuned in future updates to put more pressure on the player.

I liked the design and it was fun looking for things while avoiding the noisy objects! The controls could be fine tuned a bit more to feel more "drunk". At the moment they felt more annoying. Swaying from left to right while moving forward might be more interesting! like trying to move against the sway or something. Fun game though!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Nailing the feeling of being drunk while making the game playable is a challenge the team is looking into for updates down the line. I have your swaying back and forth idea to add to the concept list. Thanks again for playing!

Submitted

No Problem, Good luck with the future updates!

This was a very cute, well executed concept! The art was very cute, and it was a lot of fun searching the house for the correct items before time ran out! Good job.

Cool game! Love the sound effect of the cat! It's pretty fun and it makes me go YES!

Submitted(+1)

Barely touches anything:
PHEOW, KA BOOM

Yeah, it was funny that everything had a sound of an explosion, but I guess the character IS drunk after all, so maybe that's what he hears at the moment XD
It was fun to play, although maybe introducing some dynamic obstacles like people moving around, earlier in the game will be able to catch the attention of more people. The art and music are well done, and overall, I liked playing as a drunk thief!

Developer(+1)

That's my head-cannon explanation for the sound effect. Kinda like that episode of Spongebob where he's trying to sneak up on Patrick  and ever step he takes is like a war zone. Although, I also like the idea of the thief kicking something so hard it enters another dimension, I'll see what the team things :)

Submitted(+1)

OH, NOW IT MAKES THIS SOUND EVEN BETTER, perfect analogy 10/10 XD
