Short but very fun. I love the style as well, very fitting. An interesting iteration would be to explore the OS more and more each time (taking different paths to do so), and combine the knowledge I've gathered from my many playthroughs to finally beat it.
This turned out the be one of the very very few 5/5/5 ratings I've given. Game definitely can be improved/extended, but I think it deserves full score in each of the rating categories.
A 5/5/5 rating! That is very nice of you. Thanks :)
Really really nice, probably the best "one minute" game in this jam, the graphics are awesome, the "puzzles" are really well executed, it's a perfect to me, awesome job!
Best and perfect! Thanks a lot that is very nice of you to say :)
Game was extremely fun and incredibly well polished (despite the war flashbacks it gave me to actual life security measures and automatic updates)
Had a lot of fun with it, however due to how intentionally short the game is, it could probably have benefitted from more "security minigames" that you may experience at random in subsequent playthroughs so you aren't always doing the same puzzles every time. Having variations on the same games was great, but more variety would have me playing this multiple times.
Note: Game lagged a lot when I attempted to play in browser version (chrome) however that may be down to my pc. (I also thought that this might have been intentional at first due to the older pc aesthetic which made the whole thig accidentally quite entertaining)
Thanks a lot for your feedback and sorry about the war flashbacks. The plan was to add more mini-games and randomly select which ones to play, but I did not have enough time. I may go back and work some more on the game when voting is done.
The art is fantastic and I am always in awe of people who fit multiple small games into their gmae jam submission, given how hard it is just to finish one sometimes. Great stuff!
Thanks for the nice comment :)
Finally a game version of my everyday struggle :D
That was probably the best game of the jam I have played so far. I really enjoyed it.
If you have a chance, please rate my game. https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2019/rate/463297
That is really nice of you to say!
I tried to play your game, but I think something is wrong. The text resolution was so low that I was not able to read it.
That is not good. I think that is a bug on your end. What OS did you use to play it?
Try clicking on the full button at the main menu to make the game full screen maybe?
Windows 10. Fullscreen did not fix it. I sometimes have problems with my graphic card not working so maybe it is just my computer messing it up.
At what point did the font get unreadable
Instantly. I am able to guess the main menu but in the game I can't.
Rip. Added a description for in game menus from left to right.
very fun, wish there was more.
Because of all the positive feedback from the community, I am considering making a longer version.
A more creative take on the whole "keep talking or everyone dies" kind of puzzle, and it all looks really nice. Plus the bow stumped my friend for like a solid few minutes, it's great.
Thanks for the nice comment :)
can someone please give me a hint for the password?
Game Makers "xxxxkit"
thanks
Really cool idea! Loved that it was more than one minigame so that you couldn't know what to expect and put on more pressure on the player (kind of reminded me of Wario Ware games with that feeling of having to go through a minigame without playing it before and under a time limit). Also really funny and presentation was great. Congrats!
Thanks for the nice comment. I was thinking of Wario Ware when idea generating.
Great idea and presentation! I like it!
I like you!
Nice collection of mini games. Really felt the pressure!
Thanks :)
Arrow keys did not move the bow at the end :-(
You have to shoot first and then use the arrow keys to move the arrow. It is not the end of the game there is more after that :)
Wow, never would have guessed that from the screen prompt
I can't say anything bad about this game. Everything well done. It's sad that it's only one minute long tho because I would like to play more :D
We also wanted to go with "only one minute" but we couldn't come up with a cool game idea. Anyway, I think our game turned out well. I would be pleased if you give our game a try ;)
Thanks. That is really nice feedback to get :)
I have played and rated your game. It is fun, well done! Very good idea with you only being able to use the weapons ones.
Thanks for rating our game.
I really expect your game to be in a top spot ;)
I applaud you for a such peculiar and fun game.
Thanks for playing it :)
This is very, very good.
Thanks
I really like the atmosphere of the game, and the sound effects are perfect.
I used a good amount of time making the audio as good as I could. Awesome that you like them :)
Nice! It has a weird wario ware feel to it.
Thanks. I was thinking of WarioWare when idea generating. Good to hear that it is noticeable.
Clever and genuinely funny!
It reminded me of the "User Inyerface" game that came out recently (https://www.theverge.com/tldr/2019/7/3/20681538/user-inyerface-terrible-modern-web-design-app-forms-fields).
Not sure if this represents a new trend of games, but I think it's interesting that folks are designing games that examine our relationship with clunky software.
Thanks :)
I am not sure if it is a new trend but I do see a good amount of games like it in the circles I am in. Maybe it's because I'm studying game development and here they are used a fair amount because they're really good for analyzing game design and how to communicate using games.
Managed to complete it my second try, pretty fun! rate5/5
Thanks for the nice rating :)
