This game is awesome, I love the visuals. The rules feel quite unique and the game gets very chaotic on later floors. I just wish you couldn't get teleported into enemies/fire as it is slightly frustrating. Excellent work!

Very well polished and well designed game for a 48 hours game jam, the random rules feel fair to the player most of the time, I had a lot of fun.

Really smart concept, graphics are beautiful too! Well done.

Great game! A load of variety in the different random rules that can change as well. I do feel like sometimes it can be unfair like teleporting onto something that will instantly kill you, but overall I enjoyed it a lot and it's very polished presentation-wise!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback, I agree that thats unfair and its something I hope to fix in a post-jam update, thanks for playing!

Oooh a very interesting idea! I like the gradual increase of controlless-ness. The art was also quite impressive, well done! The only problem , was the slight jitteriness in the player movement, maybe that was just my pc :d

Developer

Hey thanks for the comment, if you can be bothered feel free to post a vid of the jitteriness so I can try fix it in a post-jam update. thanks for playing!

Fun concept, it really made each run through the tower unique. Nice idea to make the rulesets affect everything in the level, not just the player, for some interesting interactions between the randomly added rules. Great work!

Developer

Thank you! We were really going for synergy between all the rules and object so I'm glad it stood out :)

This was a great game. There were a few times where I would die from an enemy teleporting on top of me, but apart from that I really liked the design of this game. The rules were all clever additions to the game and I really enjoyed chasing after the key! Good job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the feedback! It's definitely unfair how enemies teleport on top of you. After the review time ends I'll make sure they teleport a little distance away from you minimally. thanks for the feedback and I'm glad you enjoyed!

This was a great game overall! Gave me strong crypt of the necrodancer vibes. Nice gradual introduction of game mechanics and great art!

Amazing game, really polished with no bugs I could find. I really like how all the rules stacked rather than switching between them to really make each run different. There is quite a lot of RNG in the rules you get but that's part of the fun in it! There's not really much I can think to fault this game for. Nothing seemed unfair and the whole experience was great, it really felt like I was playing a full game, not one made in 48 hours lol. Amazing job!

A really nice game! The graphics are smooth and stylistically consistent, and the sound design isn't too overbearing. A great deal of variety there, too, with the randomly-chosen rules combined with the mostly pre-generated levels. I don't say pre-generated as an insult, by the way - each one still feels unique from the mixed rules even when I recognise the layout! Nice work! :D

Top 100! I just missed to use the arrows instead of the wasd XD. Loved it.

I loved this one! One of the few games that really got me engaged and had me really want to try to beat it. Great art work, even really nice UI animations, awesome audio, and overall really fun. Great game!

I've played a lot of puzzle games that aren't good but this one is not one of them. I love the level design and puzzle aspects of the game, and I love how you keep adding new obstacles in our way each time instead of just the same obstacles but harder every time. I especially loved the "doors and keys are rude now" obstacles. The presentation was good, much better than most pixel art games. Overall, solid job!

Beautiful graphics, smooth well controlled gameplay and great concepts.  I honestly was barely aware I was playing a Jam game.   Would probably make bigger levels with some form of point system for collection to make people stay in each level longer when working on this after the Jam.

Developer

We we're considering adding multiple objective types besides doors, so if we do continue on this we might explore a concept like that. but something as simple as coins might work too :D Thanks for the feedback!

this is definitely going in the top 100

Cute rogue-lite that gets pretty hard pretty quick. A feature I would love to see in the future is a list with active rules somwhere on the side of the screen. But even without, I had a lot of fun.
