Really interesting game ! it took me some time to figure out what was going on, and I'm not even sure I understood everything correctly. Though it is very fun to play and watch these little cells moving around. They really look like living entities. Well done !

This game feels really great and the general aesthetic is really cool. You should check the UI size (it looks pretty small).

Thanks for the feedback, it is fixed for the postjam version

I love this game, the mechanics are great and I like the simplistic art. the text is a little bit small tho

Very original. Had much fun playing it. The UI and the sound feel great. Nice Job!

Amazingly fun for such a simple concept,    I would look at the range on the cells, perhaps they should be leashed if the enemy gets outside a certain range (I had some chase enemies right off the screen.    This also could be a function of the scaling, it didn't work overly well for meit was really hard to read some information and see some of the UI.     I love the randomized upgrade trees, but I did find the ranged cells were a bit OP compared to the attempts when I didn't get them.

Love it overall and can't wait to see more.

The UI have been fixed and a lot of balance and quality changes in the post jam version which is live now.

Thank you for the feedback!

Very fun and promising for sure!

I had trouble understanding what was happening, and I could not go very far.

But I have the feeling this could blossom in a beatifull way!

My high score for now is 48.

Certainly the most polished game I have tested this week!

I will start with suggestions: the UI text is way (WAY) too small, I wasn't able to read what each mouse click does (before opening the game on a full screen). Also, I was extremely confused in the first try since I didn't understand what was going on at all. Funny, though, that this try was the most successful one XD

But in general, once I realized what is going on (I actually read the game page, without it I would be lost), the game turned into something truly satisfying to play. Without a joke, the sound design is probably top 3 of the games I've played from the jam. I was ready to give the game a second chance after a huge confusion because of the sounds. Your skills at making them is amazing!

The concept is very challenging yet interesting too. In fact, I've never seen something like that before. The originality is 10/10. I just wish you consider continuing working on the game, and make a full fledged release with it, different levels etc. Loved it!

Thank you, I really appreciate it!

Wow, thank you for the lovely feedback!

The post jam version is now live containing a lot of improvements to things you mentioned with new gameplay and celltypes. I will most likely turn it into a full game in the future since i really enjoyed making it.

Hey awesome game! The style and ambience is great.

Mechanics are nice and simple. I like how you can override cell behavior, but if you're far enough into a level, you may be doing so at your own peril since they move relatively slowly.

I think I agree with most of the feedback here, in a more polished version I think an immersive tutorial would be critical given your minimalistic approach. I do think that the level up does not really feel like a level up, I actually thought I lost the first time, and then realized what happened (could be just me).

Following you to see the final version of this!! Keep it up.

I'll try to improve the life and exp indicators and better feedback of when you level up and when you take damage on the post jam version.

Thank you for the feedback, i appreciate it!

I love the music and the atmosphere. Very calming even when the game itself starts to get frantic. Nice work, fun little game you put together!

i love the mechanics, very addictive

I really love the simple and bold presentation here. It really suites the gameplay! Great take on the theme as well! I had fun, and would love to see where this goes one day! :))

Great game. Loved the clean, simple visuals and everything else was top notch. Great work!

This game was very interesting!  The sound really made it feel organic. I also like how you want to spread out the units and then call them back when something big appears. Although the enemy ranged units felt too good.

Maybe I just sucked but it felt really difficult, I struggled to get to a hundred points. The animation and audio were superb, though!

Developer

No, my last minute balance changes made the game really hard. My record is 260 so your not far off. Thank you for the feedback! :)

Such a simple and beautifull game, really like the whole aesthetic and the gameplay. Great work!

Very relaxing game. I love how simple the art style is. If the game had more stuff to do, like growing the spawn and fighting more complex creatures, I could see myself playing it a lot.

Developer

Yeah i might fix the balance issues and make it a proper game in the future.

Thank you you for the review :)

I didn't think I would like it so much, the minimalist look is always attractive! The way the icons are appearing is beautiful, the visual and sound identity of the game are really good! I just thought that the "tutorial" in the main menu was too small to read, you can lay out that little detail better, but other than that, I have nothing to complain about! Excellent job!

Fantastic game with brilliant music and gameplay! Are you sure you spent less than 48h on this?

Submitted(+2)

Very pleasant game. Love the music and the sounds. It was interesting, mysterious and very fun!

Submitted(+2)

i really enjoyed the game! it probably would help to have some icon to the upgrades, so its less reading^^ but still a very cool game and feels very great in terms of controls!
