is WIP also welcome to this bundle?

Great, fitting and original concept! The razor blades did get stuck sometimes, but nice entry overall!

This comment was made right after I dismissed the same comment from my mom because "She's just not used as much to these kinds of flashy images probably". Guess I owe someone an apology.

Oh right, I assumed that much. A different game over screen for each lose condition would have cleared the doubt I had. Multiple losing conditions are a super good fit for the theme, though!

I didn't get it. My approximated time untill the crash is 146s according to the timer, but I crashed onto the planet anyway? Gameplay could be made clearer, but it was fun and the and and music indeed fit the game well.

This has been a little confusing for me as well. I felt like the demons had spawned uncontrollably already before my first unit had spawned, and some feedback loops were not yet clear enough for me, like I wasn't sure what the controls were at first, or that a unit first spawns as a grey cylinder and you'll have to wait a bit before it is activated. Besides that this could be a nice crowd control game and already looks nice!

thank you very much for the feedback!

The constantly holding control was indeed part of the theme, as the enemies spawning above you can only be killed with Enter (as an enter key prompt on screen should have shown, so that might not be clear enough as well), forcing your right hand to stop aiming for a bit and quickly press the Enter key. The fact that you're forced to switch between these tasks is the main out of control part.

And I know spamming works and it did not help I merged the melody ánd the beat at the last chorus. There's a whóle to learn about making rhythm games for me besides these 48 hours if I ever want to make a decent one.

the bullets sometimes collide with eachother and had different speeds, which wasn't really my intention at first but seemed like something people could play around with if they wanted. The game over screen still showing up after a game over is new for me, so thanks for finding that one!

I might release a web build of the game to which I might make slight improvements to. Weather or not I will, this has been very usefull feedback, so thank you!

This was a great game overall! Gave me strong crypt of the necrodancer vibes. Nice gradual introduction of game mechanics and great art!

So I guess I've won? This ending and the controls felt a bit cluncky, but the scenery was great! I found the Gamejam billboards a nice addition!

Hello, thanks for your feedback!

-yes I have and I'm aware it looks awful now, so will definitely try to fix it with TMP after the ratings are over!

-Yes you're not the first one to point this out. ^^' It wasn't really intended as a fit for the theme, but not having played any rhythm games on pc before I took one example that used arrow keys and used that example on the wasd keys because of it's similar layout, in order to be able to press and hold left cntrl as well. It worked for me and my little brother so I stuck with it. Next time, I wont.

-this is the second time I hear this, I have no idea what's causing it yet so thanks for the heads up!

-I've made an attempt to do so, but there may be instances that a note hits a little early/late compared to the music, sadly. I was putting more time and effort to getting the keys to match the music rather than the rest of the game so when it was somewhat 'decent' I figured it was time to move on before I had a perfect matching keys/music ratio, but no shooting the sweat or any art. But aside from the chorus or the part after the second chorus, the keys should match the beat/melody pretty well overall.

I'm unsure how far I will improve upon this, since I'm actually working on another project and took on my first GameJam mainly as an opportunity to measure my skills. But if I do it'll be mainly thanks of this post! Good pointers!

As support main this game speaks volumes. I like the premise very much and would like to see some feedback loops improved on as this could become a very interesting game!

I could not find one of my dying party members for instance so a map would be great.

I also like it a lot that the reward slots are left blanc referring to the ungratefullness of being a healer. is that on purpose? Or am I reflecting my own support experiences on this game too much?

That's great to hear, I love that game!

Very well-polished game in such a small time window!

I like the concept of satiating something's eternal lust. truly an out of control idea!

Thank you!

Thank you! I wasn't sure how original the concept was when I came up with it at first ^^'

I love the kinds of games that enforce different strategies and this is a nice, small example of that.

Clever platformer! I would like to see my bindings still in tact so I wouldn't have to remap the controls each time I die, but overall a great concept with great art well executed!

Did not expect anything less from these masters! Best entry I -JUSTIN STOP WALKING TO THE HEARTH!- I've seen thus f -CARL LEAVE KIM ALONE- far!

Gameplay wise the yarn strat is the absolute winner for me but asthetic wise there's absolutely no remarks because doggos and kitties.

This is great! A very fun idea very well executed. The only remark would be that it's very short because I longed for more!

'based on *historic event* is usually accurate enough for me

After playing this, it is my only hope is that he will succeed and your game will become a reality . I had a great laugh!

I like myself a historically accurate game.

(1 edit)

The Audio sometimes chirps, but a nice and very fun game overall!

Edit: I take my music remark back. Chrome is not the right browser for browser games. Bigger rating for you my friend!
