I love this game! The idea is simple yet the execution is great!

The splash screen and music were perfect! I was smiling the whole time, I rated this game 5/5 in all categories!

Developer(+1)

Thank you Justin! Glad you liked it! :D

A funky, creative take on the out of control theme I have definitely not seen done! While the dog was a bit strange to get used to moving at first, the satisfying feel of getting all those cats properly herded to cheer up your friend was a blast! If I had any feedback, it would be to make the designated friend area slightly larger. My cats kept getting caught behind the bench, which didn't count as part of the circle. That, and perhaps making cats in the circle uninterested in getting yarn (as they got human affection). Y'all created an adorable little game, and should be super proud! Good job.

Thank you Morg!

Really fun and creative game! I really liked the music and overall atmosphere, the 3D art was also really nice. The game also had a satisfying wholesome feel to it. I would have liked it if the yarn ball attracted the cats a bit easier since the game could get quite frustrating when the cats don't follow you at all. I also think there should be some kind of cool-down on the yarn ball so that you can't just spam them repeatedly. However, overall the game had and good amount of polish and I really enjoyed playing it, great job!

Thank you so much Blackhammer66! :)

They see me rollin', they hatin'...

This reminded me a lot of the Rollin' Wild shorts for obvious reasons. There was a lot I appreciated about your game, including the small things like how you made sure there were different breeds of cats in the mix. I had a jolly good time just rolling around the map and rolling with my kitties. It'd be cool to see what sort of extremes you could take this concept, whether that's making the maps crazier (ramps, anyone?) or increasing the bounciness of the cats or just increasing their random behavior, as cats are prone to act!

Speaking of kitties, it's time for my kitty's dinner. I'm glad I got to experience your game!

Developer(+1)

The more I’m thinking about it the more I want to add to this. Ramps, other movables. Birds. The list is endless. Thanks for the review :)

Your game is really amazing! Good gameplay, cute art, sounds and music. I got stuck at the fish level though, I couldn't manage to move the them away.

Developer(+1)

Thanks agourk. :) The trick with the fish is to move them before the cats have a chance to smell them, potentially towards Friend. Otherwise, you can also push them or throw yarn at them to shift them as needs be. :)

I love the artstyle and mechanics of this game! This is a very solid entry and the only things I would suggest is possibly letting the Bork meter go down when you're not near cats and/or making the  controls a bit faster as I took an embarrassingly long time just to pass the tutorial. Still, great work all round!

Thanks nightworks!

Developer(+1)

Thanks Nightworks. If we look to making this a more polished version after the jam, we’ll take all this advice on board. :D

Submitted(+2)

It has a fun mechanic. I'd love to see it as a multiplayer ;)

Developer(+1)

Thanks su69ka!

Developer(+1)

Oh… Oh that would be too many borks. Oh. Oh no. … we’re… we’re going to have to do that now, aren’t we?

Submitted(+2)

Really awesome art style 👌

Thank you so much cookiecrayon!

Funny game! I included it in my GMTK Game Jam compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

“There’s a kitten… I like how this dog doesn’t want to be near the kittens or he’ll bark but he’s willing to do this for his friends” Howling with laughter. Exactly the feeling we were hoping for with this game. Thanks Jupiter. :D

This game had me smiling like a fool at its enjoyable silliness and pure-hearted tone.  The sound design choices here are great, and the art style is perfect for this kind of game. The bork meter gave me a good chuckle a few times, and the gameplay of tumbling and fumbling around was just really fun to play about with. Great work!

Also, here's a bit of bad fan art for ya:

Developer(+2)

Thank you for the kind words Jordan!

This fan art is fantastic, I love it!

Developer(+1)

Oh my god fanart!! <3

This idea is so cute and dummy that I love it. The controls aren't frustrating at all and the mechanic of the yarn is a very good way to help with leading the cats. Really nice work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you Mercado!

Developer(+2)

Thanks Mercado. Sometimes the world just needs a few more cute games about cats and dogs playing with yarn. :D

Dang, this is suuuper adorable. We've been hunting down all the other "herding" type games, and while most are alright, the level of fun and polish on this one is just excellent. Four thumbs up from us! :-)

Developer(+1)

Four lots of thanks from all of us Dsamson and your team! :)

Developer(+1)

I realised near the end as the submissions were piling in that herding things was going to end up being it’s own subgenre, so it’s feeling great to hear such positive feedback from our peers. Thanks :D

Submitted(+3)

love the idea behind this and how cute the animals are~

Thank you NK13!

Very fun and cute. I like the symmetry of borking and throwing yarn. Then the mix-up of having an attractive item that I can't really control is great. I think it would be a bit better to have the cats more interested in the yarn than the fish, but go back to the fish once the yarn timed out. That would make it chaotic but have some control.

Also, I got some fish stuck in a corner and couldn't do anything about it. :(

PS: This game stressed out our dog. But everything stresses out our dog.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thank you Shelbyd1! The introduction of the Fish was to put a spin on the Yarn strategy, the BORK however is powerful enough to dissuade the Cats! The fish are also movable, perhaps you can use that to your advantage?
PS: Sorry!

Submitted(+3)

Gameplay wise the yarn strat is the absolute winner for me but asthetic wise there's absolutely no remarks because doggos and kitties.

Thank you so much Lennrtjboi!

A cute and fun game, very enjoyable! c:

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much Naisy, glad you enjoyed it!

A very lovely game. I have also used the spam yarn strategy and I used it also to bully the cats and the fish to the desired direction. Fortunately, the yarn is mightier than the barking!

Keep up the good work =)

Developer(+1)

You bullied the cats?! ;(
Glad you liked it, thank you so much BelindaTesiGames!

The fat round kitties are hilarious! I broked all over the place ;P The yarn animation/fx look great, its a little hard to heard these cats though, heh.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thank you so much Rhizo!

(+3)

Those cats really do love their fish. I though that I had the game in the bag with my "constanly spam yarn" strat, but the cats paid no mind once there were fishies to be had. Lovely little game, with some tweaks and some polish it could be very enjoyable.

Developer(+1)

The Fish sure are tricky however the BORK is strong enough to even push the Cat's through the water! Thank you so much, glad you enjoyed it!
