How does your game fit the theme?
Each key on your keyboard has a health bar assigned to it. The more you use that key the quicker the health depletes. If the key runs out of health you can no longer use it and you are left "out of control".

This is amazing idea 😮 I must admit, I lost 3 minutes trying to understand what to do just because I was trying to connect them the other way around (the name to a key). Not sure if it's only my problem, maybe it is :D

But the idea is neat. And more importantly, the execution of the idea is well done. There is a good learning curve because I was wondering why do I need the left movement if I can use only right and jump, but it was so smart to introduce the left movement on the 4-5 level, I liked this sudden realization that I messed up 😂

At first I thought it's annoying that I don't see the actual level because of the UI, but then I realized that's actually good (since you are not sure which controls do you need). Very original and polished, enjoyed playing the game a lot!

amazing~!  game is relax to play and fun.

Hey, that was a good and neat idea.  My only problem seemed to be that the UI took up so much screen real estate -- it was nice that you allowed the player to hide it, but it was so essential I didn't really want to do that either.  I get the whole appeal of using the whole keyboard, but maybe you could confine it to just the qweasdzxc keys or something so both the UI takes up less space and also so the player doesn't have to stretch their hand strangely across the keyboard?

But hey, fun game, good difficulty curve.  I like how the player has two ways to solve a level -- get better at planning and thinking when to use the buttons, or get better at execution of the plan.

amazing concept, I really like this variant of the "controls are changing" paradigm. Can lead to really REALLY tense moments as you try and remap something as an enemy is bearing down on you. Really liked the art style as well. Well done!

Very cool idea! The mapping and re-mapping of the controls during gameplay is really interesting. The game is very polished visually and mechanically as well.

I like this! It was a good take on "player loses key input" without being really frustrating. Nice job!

Nice job. It was really fun to play.

Nice Job! Amazing graphics!

The keyboard on the top took a lot of space, maybe try making it small?

Nice job! The graphics look really appealing and I loved the interesting gameplay concept. Well done! :D

Simple and fun. Well done.

Awesome idea! You made a lot of levels to exploit a very gimmicky mechanic and that's awesome! One complaint id have about gameplay is that it isnt clear that for movement health only depletes once youve let go... I was stuck on a level for a while before realising that. The art is nice and simple, though Im not the biggest fan of the door. Could be nice to give the option to remap a key that's already mapped, could lead to some more interesting levels too. Music is a tad repetitive. All around a pretty solid submission!

Very fun and polished game. I really liked the simple art style and the music was very relaxing. Some of the levels also felt more like a puzzle game rather than a platformer which was a welcome change. I did find one bug where if you died after winning the level to an enemy you would have to restart, but this is only a small issue. Overall an amazing game, great job!

Just a very nice experience, love the presentation of the art and sound, particularly the art, something about style and shadows really worked. Only thing of note was that if you map a key to a specific control you can't remap it, it'd be nice to be able to do that for at least unused keys. Otherwise really enjoyed it, the core platformer gameplay feels great!

Nice presentation overall (both art and sound). the mechanic is also interesting, there are some nice openings for level design with this mechanic! Good job

Loved the presentation. Very soothing. The mechanic was really original man :). You even solved the problem of most devs during a game jam. Having rebindable keys XD. The level design was really good and the pace and diffculty of the levels was perfect. Really good job man :)

Really cute game, the music fits really well with the aesthetic. the level design is really cool and the mechanics is clever with the little twist of forcing you to choose certain keys ! Nice work, Keep it up !

I didn't get how it works at the start but when I did It was a blast! It may need some working to do in UI department and instructions, but overall I really liked everything about your game.

Awesome game. Starting with visuals and soundtrack to the core mechanics of the game it is nearly perfect in what it tried to achieve, all of that in just 48 hours. I'm not great at platformers so I very much enjoy the puzzle aspect of the game. If I would have to point some things out to further improve the game I would say that it would benefit from displaying health and function of the keys used somewhere on the screen with the keyboard folded (or atleast the health of it). That's just my thought, but if your design idea was to hide it so people have to memorize it and get a feel of how much you can use the key I get it and completely support you in staying with the idea.
I have to say that there are simmilar games in this jam, or that this game could be a mix of 2 games from this jam, but to me this one takes the cake as the best designed and polished one.
Keep up the good work!

Hey, thanks for the comment. If I continue to work on this in the future, I will definitely revamp the remapping/UI system. Glad you enjoyed it!
