Love this concept. I included it in my LowRezJam compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

Love the physics and the way the visuals work here, very impressive. The limited jumps make it a bit challenging, but the slow motion effect and somewhat forgiving ability to lose a limb or two even it out. Visually I am seeing old Prince of Persia, but mechanically this is reminding me of a variety of older physics based Flash games, like the arrow shooting one or the dust simulation one, the names of which are lost on me. Well done!

I think this is the best game I've seen for this jam.  I loved the game play and the visuals.

Super fun and challenging game. The rag doll physics were amazing, and the game kept me interested enough to keep playing. Every time I would get mad at level 8 because of that last bit before the door, I'd smile all over again as the player slides down the chute at the start of the level.

Wow what a fun game!  I love games with rag doll physics especially when limbs can get cut off.  I also love the drag and fling mechanic.  If you made him bounce a little more it can be a "human golf" game!  Really fantastic job!!!!

Awesome jam game!! The execution of the idea was great and it's extremely fun. The difficulty spike definitely did hit me, though I could chalk that up to me being pretty bad at games all things considered xD

I love what you did with this, and overall it's probably one of the best entries I've seen this year!

Such a fantastic jam game!!! even if it is hard as hell. I had to give up on level 10.  The concept is so sound and your execution is like 9/10.  I think the controls could use a bit of tweaking only in: It can be hard to grab mid-air, or like, if you aren't "allowed" to grab yet it's frustrating, maybe that timer could be reduced or something.  I found myself on level 10 for example, just wanted to grab the character so I could slow him down to see what is actually ahead before I fly into some unknown sawblades.  I also found it felt kind of inconsistent how strong the impulse on the character would be when i send him flying.  I feel like it was often too little when I did shorter ones and too much force when I did it really far-- I think the range in the middle needs to be bigger, if that makes sense.  Either i had too much power or too little.

Anyway I only give such specific criticism because I thought the game was so great.  Looks great (the ragdoll in so few pixels is just perfect!  dismemberment has never been so funny) sounds good, fun as hell to play.

The gameplay was challenging but not frustrating, I liked the quality of life additions, bullet time and zooming out before dragging, even the arrows on the walls. The level design I think was good but the mechanics were really the highlight of the game, body felt like it had weight and enough unpredictability to keep it interesting over multiple attempts. I wish it was easier to grab the player in mid flight though especially during the faster moments and also being able to zoom out without stamina depleting but this was a really great entry regardless.

This is super fun and unique!  Good job, loved it!

Excellent combination of actual skill and pure slapstick. The later levels took some work, but this was easily fun enough to finish!

Very fun physics, and I enjoyed the variety in gameplay, despite the simple mechanics. I think some of the later levels go on for too long, which was enjoyable in a stressful way, but if I hadn't lucked out and had a full bar at one certain point, I probably wouldn't have completed the last level.

I think the character looks fine, but the filtering is a lot, especially with the tiles. I think that having a I think the scaling camera  is a cause of this issue, and I understand why it's there, but maybe having the camera "stick" between x1 and x4 zoom, and having it never be a sub-pixel value may help?

Developer

thanks for your comment and suggestions, in case of a post-mortem version I'm thinking to try to render everything better, both with the scaling thing and the overall resolution..

Submitted(+1)

One of my favourite submissions so far. The filtering can be a little harsh on the eyes at times but overall it's a really good submission.

Developer

thank you!

the pixelating filter is a bit too much for me but fun game!

Developer(+1)

Yes the pixelate is very extreme that's true, as I choose to make a "normal" game and then fit it directly to 64x64 res

it's a lot of more work and effort (as you did with your game) to make a game that works directly in that resolution, I didn't have the right idea and the time.. :(

thank you btw!

Can't comment, laughing too hard. Kinda brings me back to the golden age of flash games in the early 2010s :D

Developer

thank you! XD

Deliciously gruesome and funny! The puzzle mechanics with faster gameplay were refreshing, and the camera movement was an elegant solution to the low resolution restrictions. The difficulty ramped up pretty early on so I didn't end up finishing it, but it's a great entry and I would gladly like to see more. Awesome job!

Developer

Yeah I had to pack up 10 levels in a very short time so they're not so perfect nor very balanced (normally I'd preferred to make 50 levels and choose the best 10, but I had the time to make 10 and use those...)

Thanks for playing and commenting!

I love the comedic tone. Level 3 killed me

Developer

thanks! XD

Such an absurd game, I absolutely love it!

Developer

thank you!

Wheew this game was challenging! I almost gave up at level 10. The physics and controls were really smooth and I haven't encountered a single problem. Despite the difficulty making the game very painful after level 6 or sth it was a really fun experience :D

Developer

Thanks!

yeah... level 10 is a bit unforgiving... XD

Feels like playing lowrez Happy Wheels. Very fun, fast paced and funny. The lowrez filter works really well and the game looks good. I would only recommend that you showed the level before starting it so I know where I'm going.

Developer

That's something I'll add if I'll make a post-mortem version

thanks!

C'mon, Sasha, you've got... most of your body left. Like, half, at least. Maybe. And you've got the key! That's what's important! Just roll to the door! Seriously though, this is great. Made it to level 10, but that sawblade arc defeated me. And Sasha. It definitely defeated Sasha.

Developer

thanks ahaha ...

come on you can do level 10, I know!
