Did you work in a team?
Just me. Mostly used this project as a way to learn HAXE and Heaps!

Was the resolution a challenge?
The resolution was enough of a challenge for me that I've had to cut corners and unfortunately cheat in a few places by not adhering to proper pixel art standards. The fonts are scaled and rotating sprites are not working as they should be.

What did you learn?
I've learned absolutely a tonne about the HAXE/HEAPS stack and I've managed to build up a nice framework during the game jam that I'll definitely be using for the foreseeable future. While I'm not super satisfied with the end result as far as the game goes the jam was worth doing just for the learning experience.

wow those are some tough zombies! i think some difficulty tweaking and adjustments to things like screenshake and camera would go along way. plus some sound. Great gamefeel though

The screen shakes so much it's really hard to tell what's going on.

This game definitely needs sfx!

I agree! Will definitely have them after the jam :)

The art style and visual effects make this game stand out. I particularly love the top-down pixel art. The screen shake makes the weapons feel responsive and powerful.

With some tweaks and balancing, this could be a decent full game.

The only downside is the complete lack of audio feedback, this would definitely help improve the general game feel.

Thank you! I'm definitely planning on releasing a post-jam version with sounds, more levels and more enemies! I'm glad you've enjoyed it.
