Did you work in a team?
I worked solo, but still had a lot of fun. My time management still isn't great, but I'm happy with what I was able to achieve during the time I was able to work on this project.

Was the resolution a challenge?
Graphics aren't really my strength, so I found the limited resolution probably helped me more than it hurt me. I really enjoyed making the art and wish I would have planned better so I could have done more.

What did you learn?
I learned a lot more about the Godot engine like how to use sounds (sorry no volume control yet), how to use the autoload singletons, and almost how to dynamically generate puzzles.

It's a bit silly, but I like the idea. The blood spreading effect is great. Uses the teleportation theme, too. Could come together with other mechanics pretty well too.

Short, sweet and easy to understand with nice clear gfx - well done!

PS I don't think the blood particles respect the 64x64 rez but that's not a huge 'deviation'

Developer

Yeah, I was wondering about that myself. They are single pixels in the 64x64 but when you drag a body I lay them down so fast that they stack up pretty quickly and make it look like it's using subpixels because they aren't placed at like (10,10) but instead like (10.25, 10.25). I figured it was probably ok because my character doesn't move from pixel coord to pixel coord either, he just scoots along. ;)

There is a huge potential here. And I really like body draging (IDK why :D). It's a bit short but enjoyed it.

Developer

Thanks. Yeah, I don't know why I made it so dark but once I added the body dragging and blood trail (it used to be WAY more blood) I couldn't stop laughing... so I decided to run with it. I do with I'd have spent more time on this to make it a bigger game.

A fun game. It was hilarious to create lots of of player clones, and then kill them one by one.

Developer

Thanks! I had such grand plans for actual combat and what having multiple clones in the room would mean for that.. but alas, no such luck. Maybe next time.

Simple, intuitive and cruel. Definitely needs a sequel :)

Developer

Thanks for the kind words! I do hope to pick this back up eventually and make the game I had in my head when I started.

The premise is sort of dark but in a silly way. Nice job!

Developer

haha, I tried to walk a fine line between crazy and silly... thankfully it looks like I landed on the silly side of things. Thanks!
