Interesting story! I included it in my LowRezJam compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

Did you work in a team?
I am solely to blame.
Was the resolution a challenge?
Not really, using TIC-80 and a clipping viewport made it a breeze. As others have said, fitting text in such a small space is a challenge but at least it makes you concentrate on the absolutely essential.
What did you learn?
Never entered the Low Rez Jam before so quite pleased it all worked out ok. I'm not particularly happy with the music/sound effects but that's down to my lack of familiarity with TIC-80, not a criticism of it.

The premise providing for graphics of different people, and then the mechanic making you focus on their design was my favorite part. I actually liked the music at first, but, yes, at some point the square waves did a number on my ears so thank you for the “S” :)
The game controls well, and I liked the concept ;P. That being said there where log periods where I would have to wait to find someone that would work with the recipe, and when the did show up I would only have enough power to cut down one. Maybe some tweaks to spawning or power to the blades would correct this. But all in all good game.
Excellent game, also bonus points for "Quentin Jalapeno". As others have said, the saw having limited power while also having to wait for the right people to show up is kind of a double whammy. Other than that, excellent game.
Oh what a messed up little game, yet so well made
I feel the health mechanic on the saw was a little misplaced though! I already had to wait so long for some people to breeze through, so being unable to saw them at times made it tedious. Adding more people might've made it more of a challenge too :)
Silly concept, with some fun art to go along with it!
I like puns. Like the look of the graphics, nice and clean. It was easy to make out all the people with all of them moving around.
The blood splatter effect rules. It's nice to finely tune your decision making around how much fuel you've got and how much walking distance your target may have. A strange post-apocalypse, but if everyone else is eating Low Rez sauce why wouldn't I?
What a wonderfully odd concept for a game. Nice usage of the limitation and with a great variety of people to mulch!
Overall I really enjoyed this, the concept is great. (Am I allowed to say that about a cannibalistic sauce-making game?) There was an occasional slowdown in-browser (Firefox), and it feels like it takes too much damage to sauceify a person--if there are two "ingredients" onscreen, unless they're next to each other you're just not going to get them both because killing one requires a full charge, so that feels kinda bad. That said... I made a lot of different sauces. (The blue shirt sauce seems to be in particularly high demand!)
Fun game concept. I was trying very hard not to kill any other people only to read afterwards that it didn't matter. I guess that would be my only recommendation. Give a buff or a nerf for (not) killing the wrong person, like longer/shorter play time to get a better score.
I actually enjoyed the sound and music. It has a great retro 8-bit feel to it and it felt nostalgic for me </old>. Also makes me wish we had more time for me to try a retro theme for the music in our game rather than just scrambling to play/record guitar and bass tracks.
I think the cooldown gives you a sense of urgency and resource management which is nice, but maybe the people require too much damage to be.. juiced?
Alternatively, maybe the logic behind the number of people that meet the criteria and the probability that two people matching that criteria will have a "golden moment" where they will be in the same position at the same time?
Again, great work, I definitely enjoyed it.
nice concept, i feel like a bad person when i play it and i'm surprised someone is using TIC-80 for this game jam.
My complaint is the same as the previous comment, the cooldown is too annoying plus killing people is very slow so I can only kill one person at a time.
other than that, nice game.
because I rarely see anyone using the TIC-80.
Of course I can, when 2 or more people are close together, but when far apart I have to wait for the bar to be full. I know in the game there is a recipe, but I have a very strong desire to kill someone (in this game of course) because the saw and blood effect in this game is very satisfying.
