No worries, things happen. We all have only so little to time to spend of projects.

Did you ever continue working on this game? I loved playing it during the game jam.

Neat game, simple yet entertaining.

In all honesty I could definitely see myself playing a full version of this concept. I know all too well about running out of time XD

Good game, nice art style and music. The only complaint I would have is that a couple of checkpoints in the level would have been nice, but that's just because I'm not good at platformers :P

I don't mind though feedback and appreciate you taking the time to give extensive feedback. The criticism you make are valid points.

Yeah the random torches going out I think is fine in the smaller levels but on the last level it's more of a nuisance than a fun game mechanic. I think the mechanic would be fine if the whole level fits on one screen and you can relatively easily relight the torch without having to backtrack.

Thanks for playing

Huh that's weird, did the water just go through you? It takes some health away, but it takes some hits before you actually see some effect from multiple hits. When your flamebody turns red and get hit you should die. Thanks for playing and giving feedback.

Good job especially since this is your first jam and completed game. The explosion sounds are great it really feels nice and satisfying. I do wish you could slide on the sides of the platforms as I kept getting stuck and as others mentioned increasing the speed a bit after the initial learning curve would have made this a bit more rewarding when you make the correct jump.

Yo this game was great. It took me way to long to realize I could use the cheese to fly to the otherside of the kitchen. But glad I did not give up to quickly. Great effort. With a bit of sound or music and some more levels this would be pretty fun full game.

Also the cheeks on the noodle XD XD

This is a pretty fun game. I did have to get used to not press spacebar to jump and would have loved to have a the possibility to keybind to something else, but you know game jam :) so limited in time. In the end I got a lot further than I expected, I did run into a bug we stopped me from going further. I ended up with one character in frozen land and one character in desert land. Which caused me to die everytime I tried to jump on one of the ice platform blocks. Good job.

The art style in this game is beautiful. I was fighting the controls a bit, but I think if I had a gamepad and the game supported it this would be so much fun to play. I think you can definitely make a full game out of this concept and art.

Nice game, digging the 2d art in a 3D world. I do wish road was also looked like a that. Sadly I did not have anybody to play with and without an AI I think i was missing out on a bit of the fun.

Nice game. Like the mechanic in limiting the number of bounces. Could be cool to combine it with different types of surfaces that damage the kettles more or less. Like others mentioned I couldn't continue beyond level 3.

Nice game, the music really fits well. I did had to get used to shooting with the arrow keys, I would have preferred the mouse for aiming. Graphics gave me some nice Tron vibes. I couldn't figure out how to heal back up though. Nice job.

Thanks for playing. In hindsight it was indeed a bit too dark, I was going for moody but overdid it a bit too much :)

The dying was intentional. It's meant to learn the player that when you die you spawn at your last hit torch. I wanted to create a game with very few on screen text and let the player experiment, perhaps I went a little overboard :)

The death loop on the third level was definitely a bug. You can always skip a level by pressing escape and go to the next stage or use the stage selector on the main menu.

Thanks for taking the time to download and play my game.

I guess that's good, so thanks? Hope you enjoyed my little game

Great game. Did get stuck in the level where I believe you need to shoot through the platform. Really digging the art and the music fits great.

thanks for playing and taking the time to download it. Happy to hear you liked the atmosphere.

I couldn't beat the game sadly. But man this was a fun well executed game. Diggin' the art style. Thanks for making this fun game.

Fun game. Because I did not read controls and instruction properly first I blasted the bugs with fertilizer making them grow extremely big, hahaha. At first thought it was an actual bug but then realized I could also click my other mouse button. Had fun after realizing, that have much to comment. Solid entry. Also love the pun in the game name.

You had the same idea as me :) a second close up attack next to fireballs would be nice as this would give you an alternative when you are low on health and want to kill something.

nice game, made it to the end with zero deaths on the first try

thanks, looks like the top and bottom gui did adjust to screen size but the left bar did not. I guess I forgot to change an setting there as it was in a separate canvas

Thank you for playing. Yeah the ramp up was way too hard. I had the intention to make atleast 10 levels, but half hour before I had to upload I only had one, so balance and proper play testing wasn't done. Thanks for the tip about shuffling, if I ever plan to go further with this project I will be sure to add it. If you have the time would you mind sending me a screen shot with the GUI issue. Would love to see what is going wrong there. The GUI was supposed to adjust to screen size.

Great idea, however the constant walking around to the workbench got annoying quickly on the bigger levels especially if you had to mine a lot of materials. I would recommend you add a way to check what the objective was while in the level. Was there I way to get back to the main window while in the level? Escape key didn't work for me and I couldn't find a button on the screen. Anyway, great art and nice and chill music.

Thanks for playing. The game could indeed us some balancing. The last two levels were quickly put together in the last hour that I had time for, so I did not have much time to play test. It is possible to finish the last level, but I guess you need to get a bit lucky.

Thanks for playing, And I agree totally agree with the powerups. I wanted to add a highlight what the powerups did when hovering over the balls, but ran out of time

Nice mix of two genres. I do wish I could shoot the next ball a bit quicker and have a "power bar" when holding the space bar so you can have a little bit more control how hard you hit.

Got almost all the buildings upgraded and then I got a soft lock when trying to pick a ball. I also managed to see the final? boss, but didn't get to beat it. Fun little game and loved the little village up to with villagers running back and forth. I do believe the arcane ball seems a bit bugged because a couple of times it would make the enemies invulnerable to getting hit after getting hit by an arcane ball. The volley also was not very helpful and I tended to avoid that one as much as possible. But all in all a fun little game.

This was such a fun game to play. The last level was a bit of a pain to get just right, but was such a good feeling to get it in the end.

Really great looking game, had that retro arcade feel to it. As others side the enemy bullets were hard to distinguish from the background stars, but neat game.

I've always been a fan of breakout and enjoyed this game with the new additions. However having the unbreakable block all the time gets annoying, especially when there is just that one block that is almost completely surround by it. Perhaps an additional upgrade that lets you destroy those blocks as well would have helped. Or increase the number of unbreakable blocks the higher the level is.

I really like this art style, it's such a nice change from most games you see. I managed to serve all customers in my first try. Took me a while to realize that you could just hold the mouse button on the wheel to turn back the water instead of clicking on it. But yeah I was a fun game to play.

Thank you for playing the game. Happy to hear you liked it.

Thanks for playing the game.

Thank you for notifying me of the softlock.
I had to switch some functions to other classes at the last minute which caused the out of moves screen to not pop as it was still in an other class :S. I agree it is sometimes a bit unclear which balls are close enough. I wanted to add a highlight when you hovered over a ball but ran out of time to implement.

Thanks for playing my game.

I did have fun, but after 3 times and only managing to get half the points of the easiest AI I did give up.

For a game jam this is a really solid game. Great 8bit graphics and sound feel. Feels like I game I would have played on the NES.
It took me a bit to realize that the second "level" after the tutorial was actually the level select. I also had issue with the wall jump but that may just be me and perhaps it would be easier to play with a controller.

One small "bug" I found on the main screen is that if you press up while exit is highlighted you skip credits and the next item highlighted is options.

Thanks for playing, during development I probably also spent too much time just break the balls for fun :)
