Very good game, great depth! I included it in my LowRezJam compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

Really Solid game.  I enjoy tactics games so much, and I'm surprised you got this out of this jam.  Awesome work.

This game was awesome. I would have never in a million years thought to make a tactics type game for this jam, but you totally nailed it. The visuals and sounds are all great. My only critique would be to maybe change the home button to like a coin when you're on the main town screen. I didn't press it until I'd been playing for awhile, would have been nice to get some upgrades sooner.

Developer

Thank you for build button suggestion, there must be coin or hammer on it. Update will be released after the end of the jam. A lot of content will also be added.

I had a lot of fun playing this game! The music and special effects are perfect, the art is very nice, and the gameplay is addictive.

Great job!

I really like turn based strategies. This is very little yet fun one. Good balance, addictive.

Yeah this game is just great. Easy to understand and fun to play. One of the top games I have played so far in this jam.

Woah it's Heroes of Might and Magic but in Low Rez form! What an ambitious thing to do. I noticed that difficulty ramps up pretty quickly, and I definitely lost too many troops in the early battles.

Developer(+1)

Unlike HoMM, the loss of units is inevitable here, it should be compensated by a reward for the fight. There was an idea to make a mini-cemetery with two-pixel tombstones for each unit killed.

Wow a surprising fun little strategy game!  The game play is top notch and the pixel art and music really fit the theme well.  Seriously well done making the best out of the limited pixels.  Great job!

Well, this is 5 stars for everything, really a great game!

This was a lot of fun! Graphics, gameplay and audio all definitely 5 stars. Gonna come back and play more later.

Amazing, complete and polished experience. Everything was super clear in the UI with the very best minimal explanation. The gameplay was balanced and fun, I never felt the battles were too easy or unfair. You also did a great job with the pixel art — the warlock death animation is extra satisfying, hehehe. Excellent entry, very well done!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your kind words! I’ve never done pixel art before. It turned out to be easy with such a low resolution:

Love it!

Considering the turn-based design, it is neither complex nor too basic, everything is perfectly understandable and playable. As a person who loves such strategy games with grid-based movement and turns, I loved it!

Sprites look amazing, you have perfectly nailed the resolution restriction both by art and the UI use. The audio gracefully reflects the vibe that you are trying to represent with such a game. Overall, I really enjoyed the game, and would love to see more!

Perfect!

Solid entry! I really liked the graphics, there was just enough detail to be engaging and descriptive while ensuring there was enough on screen. The tactics style game was done really well, and I thoroughly enjoyed my playthrough! The sound was also perfect. I would have liked an automatic skip or something similar for units that had no movement options at all however. Finally, I felt that some of the "tactical" aspect was lost to random level generation, though another way to look at it would be forcing the player to be more adaptable. Overall, well done!

Developer

Thank you for valuable feedback! Automatic skip is one of the features that I planned, but did not have time. And yes, random placement of trees sometimes ruins the battle, but greatly increases replayability.

Fun combat, good controls. Awesome game.

Awesome submission - very tight, fun loop - kept me playing til the end. I would love to see more troop progression.

GREAT game! I had so much fun with it. I appreciate the battles being extra forgiving.

I beat the warlock with my last arrow from my last archer!! Super satisfying

This game was a ton of fun! I'd happily play a longer version with a larger tech tree.

Thank you! I will leave the jam version as it is, because it is a prototype of a more complex game that I plan to develop.

P.S. I’ve changed my mind. Massive update is coming right after jam ends. Smooth animations and lot of content.
