Oh, my god! I never expected something this good. Really nice! I've saved it to come back to it later. Very well done.

I'm not quite sure how I passed the second boss though. I got stuck in the wall and then I was at the Plain of Equivalence (did I mention that your game is very funny too?!).

Developer

Thank you! Yes, there are definitely ways to glitch the game and bypass stuff. The way I implemented movement is a bit weird, so there are some bugs sometimes.

Awesome idea and execution. 7 is a b***h, took me ~20 tries before I had plan for his every attack and managed to kill them.

Amazing variety of weapons and boss battles. One thing that could be improved on is the visibility. Some attacks are hard to see and function description under each platform is nice (I HAVE to see the source code :) ), but could be less distracting if opacity was decreased. This is just a minor nitpick, as if the visuals were better, and some more polish added and balanced, I'd pay for it. Such unique idea!

Really good idea! The game is fun and the graphics are cool! I loved it!

Hi  Nisovin, I really liked the concept and the variety of weapons. I liked the boss battles, and how the respawns were close by. It was real fun and enjoyed your game. My favourite part was the mid-jump pause while using the infinite ray. Excellent work!

Pretty cool! The final boss is pretty unforgiving. Definitely beatable (only a sliver of health left third try), though sometimes I wonder if the difficulty was because maybe I wasn't using the right guns?

Very fun game.

I liked the game idea it is a nice twist on the theme and the game play overall is solid

the only thing i can say is the ui after you pick something up is a little complicated

other than that this is a solid submission

Great idea! Awesome game! So fun. Had a heck of a time beating it! Kept me wanting to try again and figure out the best weapon combos, and movement patterns for bosses. Nice work.

Had a blast playing through this one! The bosses were difficult at first but felt rewarding to figure out and beat. Good job! :)

At first, I was skeptical about the whole "math world" idea. But the amount of content, the quality, and the level of polish of your game are truly impressive. Hats off!

I couldn't see the end because the game crashed while I was fighting the last boss :(

What was the conclusion of the story?

This game surprised and impressed me repeatedly! Such a creative and fun application of numbers / math. The variety of enemies and weapons was phenomenal. Such a classic joke of 7 8 9, and then wow... Just grinning the whole way. Really well done. Top marks across the board from me.

Wow!  This is soooo much better than what I had pitched: 7 numerals, 7 operators, 7 colors, and wonderfully mathy AND gamey!  Everything is smooooooth.  *grin*

May I see the code?  I searched on Github and Google to no avail...perhaps 7 stole it?

I like your file structure...very U/linux.  src/ obviates the needs for .gdignore files. "Very nice!" - Borat-voice

Why sources.txt instead of sources.md?

I'm using Python mistune to parse sources, so hopefully those will help create/design initial game structure.

;-)

Developer

The sources.txt is mostly just notes for myself as I go along, so I remember to put them in the credits section of the game/page.

OMG...666 is the largest number base 7!  LOL  The base of the Devil!  (Is that the last boss?  I didn't get that far...)

Wow.  Just looked at your code...I'm so proud of you, using a singleton for Random number generation!  ;.-)

(That's a tear of joy in the emoticon...so beautiful!)

Cool game, I had a lot of fun playing it. Congrats!!

Pretty cool, I managed to beat the final boss after a few tries. I loved the way that the different music tracks faded nicely from one into the other, I'll have to keep that in mind for my own future projects!

Very fun, game crashed in second boss fight and audio was stuck after first.  Very creative use of mathematical ideas.

Developer

Thanks! Sorry it crashed on you, I assume you were playing on web? I feel like it's a bit less stable than I would like.

This was really satisfying and fun.  I loved all the creative weapons and level elements.  I died at the first boss, I wonder how much more there was.

Developer

Thanks! There are 3 bosses total, plus several new types of enemies after the first boss.
