It has the potential to become a solid mobile game. The game needs a little more polish but overall it's pretty good :)

I bet it would be fun if I got into it, but the long restart time and steep difficulty curve meant made it feel pretty inaccessible. It takes a lot of trial and error to adjust to the idea that in order to jump, I have to be on the opposite side of where I'm jumping from.
The menu is really hard to use; I missed the start button the first time and went all the way around. That's what happens when even the menu is one button I guess ;\
However, it gets points for being pretty creative and innovative. So far out of all the games, this is the one that's most zealously adhered to the theme.
Thank you so much for your in detail feedback! Your points are totally valid! I still think once you know how the menu is structured, you can just keep roling to START the game again. The obstacles should then appear way faster, you're right :) The controls are very unique, that's true, but we hope that new players can get into that as soon as we have a more beginners friendly difficulty curve :D
A very well made game, fits perfectly with the theme, and feels very smooth; good job! :D However it is very challenging and I wasn't able to get past the first few obstacles... :| Anyways the game is very good, well done! :D
Also I would really appreciate it if you checked out my entry, Sheepherd Dog. Thanks in advance! :)
This game fits perfectly to the theme on so many levels! But it's quite hard, I think it could benefit from slightly increasing difficulty. But however this a great entry!
I seem to be unable to play this - the game just goes at hyper-speed and then closes on me. I've captured it with gyazo so you can see what's happening. gyazo gif
I use an ultra wide monitor, 100Hz, gsync. I'm guessing that is interfering with the framerate or something? Unity can be a bit dodgy when it comes to that! ( I haven't rated it yet - I'll only rate it if I can play it properly otherwise it's unfair :) )
Wow, we just had quite a laugh with your footage :D I'm sorry that you had to go through this. That is definitly not they way it should look! Did you try out the WebGL build we uploaded today? It's exactly the same game but more accessable. Probably it works better as it is not fullscreen there :) https://craftler.itch.io/one-line-browser-build
tough as nails (high score of 14), great execution on everything, amazing adherence to the theme
Super fun concept! I love how the music is only one note. I closed the game a few times on accident before I realised how the menu works :D Very challenging as well, great result!
Thank you for giving our game a shot :)
What I myself struggle the most is to remember that you always switch sides before jumping. This is the twist which really changes things from a normal jump game but is really hard to come by xD
We really need some easier level patterns for people to get used to the controls :P
Well this is the intended behavior when you roll over the exit-letters in the menu, but you are not the first one who reported that kind of behavior appearing pretty much all the time although we never experienced this ourselves (Although the menu is a bit buggy at times xD).
Many thanks for the feedback! :)
Big well done to you :) ! The game fits extremely well the theme, and I love the sound effects and simple gameplay. I would have perhaps made the ball jump a little higher to give the player a bit more time to press 1 when in the air.
But all in all great work, keep it up
Great game, like to see it on the iPhone.
I would give 5 stars to design! Very simple but elegant. Only one button was used and the UI and the Menu and the smash move, love it!
Personally, it would be better that makes the difficulty curve more smoothly. It's too difficult for me now.
Excellent!
Neat game concept although a tad bit difficult maybe due to the level design but that's understandable given it was made during a game design. I would appreciate it if you checked out my game as well, thanks: https://mark-auman.itch.io/one-shot-in-the-chamber
Very very nice concept but I wish the game had bigger jump, cause it's a very hard game
We really appreciate the feedback :) Following all the comments we will tweak the difficulties in feature. We wanted something like difficulty progression right from the start anyway, but we didn't manager to implement that in the 48 hours.
What do you mean with bigger jump btw? There are obstacles (The long spike and the double box) that are not meant to be avoided with jumps but with a swap or in the case of the boxes also with a smash, so if the jumps were higher they would fail their purpose. Or did you mean to make the jumps just last longer so that they are easier to time?
Anyways ty again for giving our game a shot :)
Thank you for the feedback :) Yes I guess we definitely need to do something about the difficulty. We had different difficulty obstacle patterns in mind so we can spawn easier ones first but we were pretty close to the deadline and had to postpone that idea :P One thing we also played around with was camera position, because it feels much easier the earlier you see the obstacles you need to avoid.
Implementation wasn't too easy because we were not able to use unitys build in physics (Because of the curved line) and had to more or less implement a new 'curvy' coordinate system. The UI is basically just a bunch of gameobjects living in that 'curved world' with colliders on them :P
Very cool game, though very difficult too. I like that you even had the mechanic as the menu screen, that's a nice touch
Thank you for the feedback :)
Funny story about the menu: Sometimes people have problems with the menu because they miss the tutorial at the beginning and then don't know how they use the menu (or exit the game) and are trapped in an endless start-death-loop xD
We really need to make sure everyone is aware of the controls before they are released into the menu :P
