Really unique take on the theme. I liked the memory challenges with the platforms especially. One of the looks (the blueish one) was hard to achieve when I was using a controller.

Eerie sounds added nicely to the atmosphere.

Kind of resembling this one, but as a sidescroller/jump-and-run.  I like how you coupled the perception of things to the perception of colors however. However, with moving obstacles being absent, it becomes mostly about pressing all possible keys in the beginning, puzzling together the elements you saw and then navigate through the level by memorizing the layout perfectly. Still a fun puzzler though!

I'm not really fond of memory-based games but I love how limit which colors you can see with the level desing. So overall pretty nice idea and great levels.

The game's not quite as polished as I'd like, and it's hard to tell what you need to do to reveal certain level elements sometimes. Also you can get out of bounds too easily, with no way to reset manually. Other than these problems, this game's got a very neat idea, and one I'd love to see in a full game.

Thank you for your feedback. Most of the buggs were caused by some issue with the WebGL-build of the game (some issue with the colliders), its working fine in the editor and on windows. Its a shame, but i will post an update as soon as uploads are reopened again after the votings. Glad you liked the idea :)

Really trippy and cool memorize the obstacle game. I was not expecting button combinations to also change your vision. Besides not displaying the attack button in game, I liked it.

Oh God! This is SUPER trippy, and somehow addicting  xD.

Haha, your take on the theme is pure genius. Seing one thing at a time is so confusing!
It's a shame there are bugs that can block you out of the screen, but well, it was totally interesting and worth the play. Great job.
That'll be a full score from me.

Developer

Thank you very much! A lot of buggs were caused by the WebGL build which is a shame (some problem with certain collider types), in the unity editor its working fine. But im glad you liked  it :)

Very clever idea, totally trippy too which is brilliant, nice original concept :)

Kinda buggy, but the concept is interesting. Check ours: https://cerosware.itch.io/one-stick-shooter

Thank you for your feedback! Most of the buggs that have been discovered are caused by the WebGL build sadly. Uploads are closed, otherwise i wouldve added a windows version.

Very clever idea for Only One, there's a few bug tho, sometimes I will get stuck in the corner for a few seconds

Nice game, I like the concept you went with! I wish there was some text explaining wich key does what in the game, rather than having to read the description of the game. The art style fits well to the concept, and the level design combined with the game mechanics really makes it so that you have to think a different way to get past each level.

Thank you for playing! I intended to add the controls to the main menu but i didnt make it in time.

I think the idea is great :) I like the atmosphere of the game. There are some bugs but for a game made in 48 hours it's normal. Good job :D

An interesting interpretation of the theme, I like how balanced the levels are given the time you had to submit the game. Keep it up!

Very intresting approach of the theme! There are some mino bugs ,but They don't spoil the experience .

Well done !

Really clever idea!

It's outstanding idea with colours and movement. And realisation is very good too, except movement. I think it should be not so fast. Also if I crouch on a platform, I fall from it. It can ruin player's experience.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thank you for your feedback! Falling from the platforms was actually intended. This way, dropping from a platform and looking for platforms are bound to the same key. The idea behind it was that the player has to memorize the platforms while ducking at a secure location.

To be honest, it feels strange, as there isn't any word about this mechanics in the game.

Interesting and cool use of the theme. Everything is clear, except the weapon it took me some tries until i noticed it, so maybe the the appearing is a bit to short. But nevertheless very well done! :)

Very cool idea! My only problem was that I didn't know what is real sometimes. For example: In the first level there is a gap in the floor but when you move in a certain way there is a piece of floor instead so I thought: "Well just run over it then, no need to jump!" and i fell down :P

So my problem I think was, that there are not only things that you can't see but are there, but also things that you can see but are not there? And you never can be sure what is what? It's hard to explain but maybe you get my point :P

Other than that, very fun game :)

Developer

I totally get what you mean. I tried to compensate that by having a very forgiving respawn point at the same level. I was hoping to teach the player the behaviours of the world step by step, even if the player fails a few times before understanding it.
My description on the page might be a bit lackluster. When designing the level with the gap, i was allways interpreting it as "the pitfall is there", but I totally get how this can be interpreted the other way around, especially after reading my description again.

Thank you for your feedback :)

I didn't really notice this problem in the later levels, maybe I just got better understanding the mechanic or the later levels do not suffer from this problem :P

Very good idea. I feel you need one tutorial or some prompts hints to tell player what to do. I checked your game description and wonder How to attack. And later I found the weapon. Anyway, very nice idea and game design. (•̀ᴗ•́) و ̑̑

But I stuck on this level and cannot move and attack.

Developer

Thank you for your feedback! With a little more time I would have added the controls in the title screen for sure :).
A few bugs found their way into the game. I added a section for buggs in the description.

Cool. I will check it out. Very nice game

Very good game with a fresh idea. I really like how the world is the same, even if you can only see one color at a time. Also, the way you introduced the new colors was really nice. Great job!
