In nearly five years of itchio and three games: 63,537 pageviews, 13,761 browser plays, 6,760 downloads and a somewhat miserly $19.99 in donations! Not that I aren't grateful for them, of course. Hopefully, we've learnt and improved enough to put out a commercial game next and make a success of it.
Away from the stats, it's been great to see the comments of people who've enjoyed the games, and videos of people who've played them on Youtube and Twitch- and itchio's been good for getting to know new people and making friends with people from very different backgrounds.
We're also on 199 followers so, if anyone wants to push us up to 200, I'll be very happy XD
So, two years have passed- not quite a weekly update, but nm.
And we've just released a fourth game- a point and click style adventure called Five Day Detective. Go play it, it's good XD
Anyway, our stats are now:
Views 103k
Downloads 10.1k
Browser Plays: 22.4k
Revenue $23.99 (we can afford an extra coffee to share since last time!)
Also, we're on 299 followers so... once again, who wants to be 300???
Here are my measly stats:
I've been here for about 1.5 years, and have 6 games up by now (all free, half of them playable in browser).
Total views: 611. Downloads: 107. Browser plays: 185. Collections: 4. Payments: 0.
That's pretty low considering the effort put into some of these games, but I'm hardly doing any "marketing", because I hate it. If I post a link somewhere, I get a couple dozen of plays, but after a few days that dies out. My current best (and most fun!) strategy to get my games played is to make browser games for game jams. :-)
For all projects . . .

I've been on Itch for about 2 years and have two games -- Wallet Warrior for a Game Jam and Scrapship which is still in development.
My Scrapship devlog has 7,501 views, which I find very promising once I get the game finished.

Not bad for my first game, Grizzly Grove, a NSFW HTML game launched on April 6th, 2022. Well, it's not so new, I've been working on its development since November 2020, and many people helped to improve it on its development (both on discord and F95Zone). I want to thank to anyone who donated me, it means so much that people donate to a free game like mine. And I have planned lots, lots of updates for this game. I'm amazed how well has been received my game on this community, I love you guys <3

I've been on here 2 months just over 800 views. 83 downloads and made $33. I've done a lot of advertising though. A lot of retro gaming forums is where my views come from. My games have been DOS games and retro unity games. I'm talking unity 2.6! From 2007. Plus I've made some soundtracks aswell and marketed them as table top RPG atmospheric tracks. So I've had a lot of D&D players download. It's all FREE to or pay what you want! Trying to make niche games has definitely helped.
I'll edit I'm actually using old hardware aswell a 2009 macbook and a 2004 g4 powerbook. Even used Mac os9 for my soundtracks. Not flexing here but I'll note the Powerbook cost me 10 bucks at a garage sale!
3 years here and only 1 game/visual novel released, the demo was out for 2 years and the comlete version came out recently: 2,164 views, 199 downloads, 3 ratings, 126 collections, 6 comments, 29 followers. 0 dollars because it is free and no donations were required.
It is probably low, but I am still happy and overjoyed people played the game :D
This is an interesting topic!
Gives some good insight into how different types of games work on itch.
It seems like browser playable is the way to go for views, but not so much for donations.
Anyway here is my stats.

Here is my profile
On itch.io.
It worked for me.
Try to post frequently on the community. Like first I only had 2 followers and few downloads and browser plays on my games which were mostly me playing my own game.
Now since I started posting here, I have 15 followers and better analytics( but not that good ).
I also created a YouTube channel but that didn't help at all.
1022 views - 226 downloads - 9 followers - $00 cash (only have one thing that is indexed atm, wow they are slow) also mostly assets that i have available as free for most part for donations up showing.
also, if you follow my stuff -- Free PREMIUM MaeLee-Unreal-Blender-Unity w/unreal project by repeatloader (itch.io) is free for the next two days, grab it if you want it. Ill be putting something else up in its place when i move it to the netherworld of unindexed.
551 views, 88 downloads, 34 web plays (I only have web games available rn).

link? is https://ozaki-studio.itch.io/ good?
I have so small data. 674 views, 7 followers, 91 downloads, 2 payment and $6.99 gross revenue. https://interestick.itch.io/cs
Been here for two months, posted two short browser game-things. 153 views 51 browser plays 1 follower 2 downloads, which I don’t understand, because I don’t have any downloadable content $0 and will stay that way unless I decide to accept payments at some point https://dreamswithopeneyes.itch.io
For my electronic logic puzzle game : https://owildescar.itch.io/electrocraft
, uploaded to itch 2 month ago, I have 416 views
This seems interesting. It's kinda hard to get context if my downloads and such are below or above average for this site, so it's interesting to see.
About 60 or 70 usd from my two games ( their both free so I'm not expecting riches here)

Kinda would be cool to get more downloads and feedback mostly, especially when I just updated my game, but from what I understand games don't get boosted in the search/recomendation unless it's a new game or a release of a work in progress game, right?
Heyo! Here are my stats (I am a TTRPG dev btw). I was REALLY grinding it out on Twitter until I left, so that’s why it’s so high. If anyone wants to ask me a question on tips, lmk! Just know that I am VERY proud of every single person here making a game. Y’all have created art, and you should be proud!

Just under two months on this glorious site for me, and I've played so many great games, met so many cool devs. Let's keep up the good work :D

Oooh! An analytics page! Joy~
Thanks everyone for sharing their stats! I personally like these things - they're usually quite telling of what the user base usually browses for. It's hard as nails to get other devs to share their stats and analytics, so thank you for this!
Anyway, I guess I should share mine to add to the pool... let's see...

Platform: If it helps, all my games have browser-based or have browser-based versions. I'd noticed an uptick in site visits after I enabled web-based versions for my download-only stuff some time back.
As for activity: I'm inactive for months on end, and tend to upload stuff or post devlogs and comments in random spurts before going quiet again. I do try to promote on social media sometimes, but nowadays I barely do that since it doesn't seem to make any difference.
Nature of games: They're anime-style romantic gay visual novels aimed at a primarily female demographic. (Edit: By "female demographic" I mean me, myself and I. My VNs are made to my own personal tastes, lol)
That's it! Thank you again everyone for sharing your stats - I was clicking through your profiles to view them, if you don't mind. Cheers~

I'm very grateful to people who donated, I never thought someone will give money for it. Hope they all enjoy it. I'm working to improve it and add new features as often as I can.

Hello folks!
I am almost a solo developer. Sometimes a friend of mine (not a digital artist) joins in to share my madness. We work purely on a hobby basis for fun and relaxation. We have two unfinished games (from the published ones).

Now, to shake myself up and not burn out, I started a challenge for myself - to do something exciting in 30 daily devlogs. Of course, I can’t do it every day, but I’m trying. You can follow my progress on the YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/@CombatDicesTeam
I wonder how you get tens of thousands of views and downloads? Please share your wisdom.

The CTR is the worst of all my games. I though I had done a good job for my promo image, but I guess not. Thinking about re working the overal look to make it more appealing

i think you have the right idea with the pulsing effect, but maybe show some numbers that multiply to 72 and then cleared. it would be even better if you added flashier effects to the game & capsule. cool game, by the way
I posted 2 games which I completed from tutorials and 3 asset packs, I am planning to launch more asset packs and games in future.
