Lol I was just playing your game then I look and see the dev just left a comment on my game. Your game rocks btw.

I had fun with this game but sadly on one level I couldn't progress anymore as I was trying to make platonic licquorice and I think there's a bug where it wouldn't check off licquorice dust so even though I made the final product I couldn't progress.

This game is really great, fun, and polished for a game jam game. I made it to level 18 before I gave up. A few things though, I think it's not very clear that you can dash diagonally. Also this might be a bug but sometimes I'd get a coin and it wouldn't even refill my dash? And the music is barely audible.

Lol the difficulty curve in this game goes from 0-100. Once more keys started appearing I choked immediately and just started button mashing.

This is a fun game but I think there's too much screen shake.

Enjoyable. There are some issues with the game freezing though. Also what I saw when I looked down is gonna haunt my dreams.

This game is really great! Can't even think of any criticisms. One of my favorites so far. Definitely has potential as a full game.

It might be a browser thing cause I'm using Firefox but maybe it runs better on Chrome.

Plasma turret is actually very powerful cause it has splash damage and near the end when enemies start swarming you can take out like 5-10 ships with one projectile.

Lol I didn't know about that strategy. In my test runs somehow I'd be winning with like 1% hull integrity left sometimes. I would've liked to add more enemy types if I had more time.

The art style is really great. How you can improve it is maybe adding some text in-game that says what each component does cause I found it really unclear. I know you put what they do in the description but I forget. Also performance was bad on the web version and my system isn't even low end.

Some suggestions for improvement: For some reason my camera kept rotating by itself which I found annoying, I'm not sure if that's intended? Also I kept accidentally skipping the tutorial popups somehow. I wasn't able to get past the second level because it was just too hard. Also not sure if this is intended but tiles started falling before I'd even step on them. And there's no indicator for when the dash is off cooldown so I'd jump thinking dash was ready and then fall. I think it's fun but needs polish.

The art is really good for a 4 day game jam but idk the gameplay is kinda jank. I kept getting tripped by barely visible rocks and its hard to jump over them. Also my character become huge for no apparent reason

I enjoyed it. I think a better control scheme would be WASD + space for jump and left click for fire.

Wow this game is extremely realistic and serious. The fact that my guy was panting severely like he just ran a marathon after talking to a few people is an accurate depiction of an introvert. And the fact that I had practically no energy all the time is also extremely realistic. Also how I was never trained for the job and the manager immediately asked me why I wasn't working when I just started was peak realism.

This is a really great spider game and I'm totally not biased in favor of spider games!!!

FELLOW SPIDER GAME!!! LOVE IT!!

About your third question, that is unintended behavior but I didn't have time to fix that issue.

How it relates to the theme:

Ngl I was hyped up for this game from the intro but then it just freezes afterwards and I couldn't play :(

No, there's no way to export the save. But that's a good idea, I should let people download their save file. I'll add it to my todo list.

HOLY hell I've never simulated it that long myself. But yeah I've also had problems with the web version in that performance degrades until it crashes. Web just sucks as a platform for games especially with Godot and there might not be much I can do about that. I suggest playing the downloadable version. If you get crashes there too then that might be concerning and I'd have to check for memory leaks and what not.

Awesome I'm glad you like it. There isn't currently a way to turn off random events but I want to add that next release along with a "galaxy generation" screen where you can change galaxy scale, number of starting empires, etc. Right now tech unlocks more weapons and bigger ships but in the dev build I just added some new buildings that are unlocked with tech. Destroyers are unlocked at tech level 2 and cruisers are unlocked at level 3. Currently nothing happens when empires advance past level 3 but I plan on adding exciting stuff like capital ships and doomsday weapons past that level.

Ah I didn't consider that people don't know if they're hitting the boss or not. I of course knew he was taking damage cause I coded it, but I understand how people might not know. Thanks for the feedback.

I couldn't get past the second level because my arrows weren't hitting anything so I got frustrated and quit. Cool idea but the playability needs to be improved.

Aw, you didn't get to the city with the destructible buildings and mecha-hitler boss fight? That's the best part.

I think the game is a bit frustrating because it starts off so fast paced and the controls are complicated. I think it'd be better if it started off slower, and start off with simpler abilities, then unlock growing/shrinking later.

I like this game's concept and art style but the gameplay could use some work. For one, I didn't know that you could only burn small objects at first so I was just going around lighting stuff up thinking I was gonna gain score when I wasn't. I say make it so that objects you can't actually destroy don't get lit up & communicate to player that only small objects can be destroyed at first. Second, I don't like the time limit mechanic, there clearly isn't enough ways to increase the timer and it's quite anticlimactic when it ends. Maybe do away with the time limit altogether and just make the game get gradually harder and harder and have some big firefighter final boss or something.

I love this concept

This game looks great, but I wouldn't say I enjoy the gameplay. I think it's a bit tedious going back and forth between the controls.

Satisfying movement but I got stuck on a level because the door didn't open despite me having cleared out all the enemies.

I like it. Game should get harder as you go though. and maybe some ways to level up your character, bigger aoe, more projectiles, etc

You have to wait a moment for it to download the 20 MB of data.

Half of those downloads are probably just me testing my game on my laptop let's be real.

Behold, a multiplayer shooter game where you can destroy literally everything. Right now you can either play singleplayer with bots or host/join a server and play PvP. The only gamemode right now is capture the flag. But I want to appeal to all kinds of players so a PvE/Co-op mode is in my plans for the future.

I just released version 0.3 which I've declared to be the first alpha version of the game. Declaring it alpha changes nothing but it just feels good to call it alpha.

I'm working on a fps game. It's multiplayer but I'm gonna try to update the game to have AI bots so singleplayer is an option. I guess in its current state you can sorta play alone, you can build a house or shoot rockets in the air and try to dodge them as they fall down. I dunno LOL.

A multiplayer fps block game

Ah, it's nice to see a fellow philosopher.
