This game was a ton of fun! The art was great, and the changes between levels and between different rounds of the game kept each attempt fresh and intense! My personal two favorites were the moving doors and moving keys, both terrifying in their own way. I love the game, and hope to see it expand and grow post-Jam! Great job!

Great presentation and awesome concept! Will definitely be keeping an eye out for the post-jam version!

Awesome job with the artwork, very clean and cohesive.  Well done with the sound too, this is very polished!

This is such a cool game! It reminds me of Baba Is You. I enjoyed playing it quite a bit, and it was cool that the rules get established in a different order each time, really cements it as a cool puzzle roguelike. I was confused at first because I expected it to be turn-based, but once I figured it out it was perfectly fine, and it didn't take me very long at all. Great job!

That was a really cool and unique game! I liked how every playthru was different!

I played through a few times and reached level 14 where I couldn't trust keys. I think the rules I was given wasn't winnable or something. I also noticed that something strange happened where there were 2 players, but I only controlled one of them and if I died I would control the other very briefly. Overall I that it was really fun and the gradual introduction to rules was nice.

Developer

The rules should always be winnable; when you cant trust keys the evil keys are just enemies; they chase you and look darker than normal keys, post-jam we want to make this more obvious.

The 2 player thing is a bug; we hope to fix it!

Thanks for playing!

I like the art style a lot. The gameplay had me a bit confused at times, sometimes I'd be unclear on why I died but other times I'd randomly get a key so I guess it balanced out  :)

Rated! This was one of the most addictive entries I've played. The presentation is simple yet really effective in hooking you in, and most of the modifiers worked really well with each other. One thing I'd change is the "Some keys are not to be trusted" modifier, in my playthroughs that one always meant a game over because I'd never get the right key and I think instakilling the player doesn't mix well with randomness, especially with a lives system. I think if the fake key did something like randomly teleport you it would work much better.

Overall a very addictive and fun game!

Thanks for the feedback! We had some struggle trying to make that rule fair; we ended up giving the "evil" keys a darker hue, but post-jam we might look into a bit of a more obvious visual cue, thanks for playing!

Really fun simple rougelike. Some of the rule combinations where really interesting (although some of the rules need a tiny bit of tweaking to not feel unfair when they kill you esp blue tiles). It feels like a really good coffee break game similar to desktop dungeons.

Developer

The tile rules are random on which tile they go, but I'm assuming you got teleported to a shitty spot. post-jam I plan on making those rules a bit more fair! thanks for the feedback, We really appreciate it!

Impressive! very good game, very fun to play, loved the art style.

Nicely paced game with all of the rules being gradually added to the mix. There's fun in being quick paced but needing to make small but meaningful decisions on your feet to make sure the enemies don't out pace you and catch you. Feels good to control too!

Nice take on the theme, I loved how the modifiers were introduced one by one, very cool.

I don't think it was inted, but at some point, my dead body was able to collect the key for me, very likely a bug, but it was nice to have something like your old body can help you, maybe some feature?

Developer(+1)

Haha that's indeed not intended! We will fix it postjam (but maybe we can add a rule that lets your skeleton brothers help you out ;) )

this was pretty addicting haha :D love the feel of moving the char and how smooth it is~

Developer(+1)

Thank you! We tried real hard to make it feel smooth (as we didnt have any artists haha)

Very nice job man. I loved it. Very good twist on the rogue-like puzzler.

Whoa, this is pretty good! I like the grid movement and the fact that the levels/rules are randomly generated/changed, it works well with this type of game. It sure is fun to play and run from the guards. Nicely done.

Incredibly witty take on the theme, definitely the first game that made me unconsciously realise that things got out of control. At first the function of the tiles were a bit unclear to me, but once rules started applying to them I understood the concept. Art looks great and every object looks very defined and understandable. Great game!

Awesome! It definitely got chaotic and yet was still easy to understand what was going on! All in all a great game!

Great execution on a strong idea. The rules work very well together and the timer keeps the pace up, giving it that "one more try" addictiveness.
