Really nice for 6 hours, don't think i could do this that fast.
hi, I reviewed your game here:
Thank you
funny >D<
Haha thanks!
I hope you play my game as I played your game
Certainly, if I get the chance! Busy with school rn, but will do if I can!
ok ^_^
Idea and concept were nice. It was a great take on the theme. But bringing the ammo back before i can shoot it seemed a bit off. Maybe the coins would have been enough and the ammo can be used instantaneously.
But all in all good entry :)
Yeah possibly, was honestly just trying to make ideas on the fly since I had so little time XD... Thanks for playing though!
Amazing job making this in six hours, it's got great visual charm too!
Thank you :D... I've definitely been trying to work on my games' visuals recently so I'm glad you liked it
Haha the disclaimer, it run pretty well for me no bugs and the concept was nice. I little more fast pace gameplay would have been great. Overall, it was a nice fun game to play. Congrats on your entry!
Thanks for playing! Yeah the disclaimer wasn't lying lol, didn't have time to even play through myself lol. I had setup the spawns as a mix or timer and randomness, but the random was a bad idea as some people have had a good pace and others less so, so it's great feedback for the future!
For 6 hours this game is simply amazing. The art is super cool. it fits into the theme pretty well and the sound effects are great. I'd love if you could check out my game too!
Thanks, pretty proud for 6 hours too :D Also gotta love those sounds lol
Will try too if I get the chance XD
6 HOURS, wow
in 6 hours i would'nt even had the basic sprites done hahaha. Great job for 6 hours!
With some juice, visual effects and graphic improvement i know it would be much more fun!
When you can, tell me in what I can improve my game too!
Thanks, 6 hours is honestly not the shortest I've done, take part in too many game jams I don't have the time for lol... Thanks for the feedback though, I'll try to check out yours if I get the chance!
Great work for only 6 hours! :)
Thank you, appreciate it :D
I liked the artwork done for the game but I'm still trying to figure out what the shooting sound is? I also found that you can run off screen, but I can see that as an oversight since you only spent a little amount of time on it.
I'd appreciate if you checked out my game if you had to time :)
Glad you liked the art, definitely focussed on that the most... The sound was just my friend at school - had to include it! :D Yeah, I knew was an issue and honestly just forgot about it XD
Sweet little game, kinda scary when you become a zombie for a couple of seconds after being hit haha. I do want to say that sometimes I had nothing spawning and i was just sitting around. Also the shooting sound was very funny, kinda sounded more like a donkey though so please tell me why you chose it haha. Have a good jam!
Ah I'm glad you liked it. I knew the spawning was an issue, just had to add some randomness in because I didn't have time to program like waves and stuff... And the shooting sound, that was just my friend at school made a funny noise - just had to use it! :D
Ah damn, well you finished your game in the time limit so that's the most important and you can always update it later. Haha, your friend must be honoured to have a cameo in your game! :D
For 6 hours not too bad to make a game. I got to ask what was that sound when shoot a projectile?
Haha that was jut a random sound my friend made when I had sound recorder open at school XD
Hey, the art was good, animations were fun and turning into zombie was really well done!
The game was fun for a few minutes, but the pacing was at a constant rate making progress slow towards 50 coins.
It was pretty good for spending 6 hours in the making :D
and that shoot effect was pretty strange haha
If you have the time, feel free to check my game :)
Haha, glad you liked the art, it's where most of the time went - fun fact, the zombie change was unintentional lol. Glad you got some fun out of it, would have definitely liked to increase the difficulty over time if I got the chance! And the shooting effect is just brilliant, gets me every time XD
I'll try to if I get the chance :D
nice little game. I loved the art :)
please rate mine here ==>https://itch.io/jam/vimjam/rate/768154
Haha, glad you liked it :D
I'll try to if I get round to it
Uhm the zombies stopped spawning after losing a life? and it was a little bugged even when I had ammo. But I really like the idea of the game and love games like this. You didn't have much time, still happy you tried though! Continue the good work :)!
That's a really interesting bug, could have just been you got real unlucky? They have a 1/3ish - kind of not really but sort of - chance of spawning, just like the gold and ammo. But I'm glad you liked the idea and thanks for checking it out!
Like aidanabat I didn't realise immediately that the boxes were ammo. The graphics in the game look great, and I enjoy the transition effect when you've been attacked. Good job!
Yeah I knew at the time this would be an issue, but I couldn't really figure it out in the 12x12 size and didn't really have time to remake though. Glad you liked the art though, been working on that a lot recently!
Took me a while to realize that the reason I couldn't shoot was because the red boxes were the ammo pickups. Other than that, I wish this had more time to be made, since it seems like a fun concept. If you have the time, I hope you can also my game! Also, what's with the weird shooting sound LMAO
Yeah, knew this would be an issue, didn't really get round to fixing it though unfortunately. Glad you liked the idea and so do I. Also that sound just came from my mate at school one day lol.
And if I get the time I'll be sure to!
a bit hard to pick up the controls, but other than that it is a really cute and simple game! i love the art! overall, great work!
It would mean a lot if you could check out my Jam submission if you get the chance. Thanks!
Glad you liked the art, been working on that a lot recently! I'll try to work on the controls of my game in the future, thanks for the feedback!
I'll try to if I get the chance :D
Really works with the theme. The animation of getting hit and turning into a zombie was an awesome touch. Things spawned in places I could not get them tho sadly. great effort though for the minimal time
That was actually completely by accident, the old player used to be a zombie! Glad you enjoyed it though, sorry about the glitches :D
This game was pretty cool, the game looks really good, however I was a little confused as to how to interact especially with the highlighted rocks, the loading screen cut out while I was reading. But overall the quirky sound effects and the art style were really cool. This was a solid top down shooter.
Thanks! Sorry you were confused, would have loved to work on UX some more if I got the chance, annoyingly didn't even have the time to play test myself. The sound effects were also a total accident, glad you enjoyed the humour :D
