I love the way you used the limitation, collecting both items and party members. The way each new character opens up new areas of the game world is neat, definitely getting Pikmin vibes. Good job!

Awesome little game! The graphics are fantastic (would love to know how you made them), sound effects were super cute, and the whole game just felt like it went together fantastically!
Thanks, glad you liked it.
They were fairly easy to create, I made a Unity cube which I stretched with 2Y, then I used 3 materials (which is bad for optimisation or so Unity tells me), 1 standard Unity color, another material I used a transparant PNG with a handdrawn square on the sides which apparently when applied to a basic cube gives it this edge effect, and another material which was also a transparant PNG with some handdrawn random lines to create this grungey effect and that's it, never done graphics before but I guess it turned out ok, the eyes are these circles which come with Unity, that I have turned to make them look happy or sad.
So yeah, most graphics are just standard Unity cubes with those 3 materials.
Okay come on now, this HAS to be expanded into a full fun little game. I think it could make for a lovely city builder or pikman style exploration game. Maybe add a little more freedom of choice for building layout and design, allow for stockpiling goods for better “inventory” management. Upgrade lighting and graphics a bit, and you got yourself an addicting experience to say the least. Fantastic job
I enjoyed playing the game a lot. I played to the end but I did not 100% it. At first, the funny sound effects caught me off guard. I love it. I like that there are no two identical Rectangle dudes. The way they just hop around is so adorable. The concept is very simple and straightforward. Also I hope you and your daughter didn't get sick too badly.
I like your game, and the story background it's wonderfull! like a tale about friendship and family.
Game mechanics and graphics are simple but very enjoyable it makes you want to finish it. I like the sounds pretty much they sound funny and cute.
I also like those games where you gather resources to make money :D!
I wish you success!
I. LOVE. THIS. It brought me back to the very best gaming experiences of my youth. As I played through the trollishly long final challenge, I had some time to think about why it so instantly captured my heart and the best I could come up with is that it "feels" great. The way you move with the mouse and your party sallies thence like knights on horseback, and the way the resources just hop into their spots is so satisfying. Great humour, too, and smart design! I really really wish there was music but I still had to give you a 5 for that category because of the killer mouth sound effects ("happy purple!"). Please expand this in to a full game so I can play it for hours and hours and hours. Please change the name, though, "Go" is much too boring for a game that isn't at all.
woah thanks, really nice you enjoyed it this much :D there was background music though, but very subtle and yeah GO is a pretty boring name haha but it kind of fit the theme I went for: GO there collect back repeat, and the GO logo as an "8" to infinity, which also fits with the 8bits to infinity organisers :D
And yeah, I might make my original idea: collect resources in a city, before the enemy comes, gain enough cubees in time and move to the next city, and after a while you have a big enough army to take back everything what is yours, but that idea didn't make it in 7 days :D
I loved your game!!
The sounds are amazing! Had to stop myself from playing to be able of rate other games too.
Very cute game! I'm sorry you and your daughter got sick but I think the game still came out super charming! Very funny sound effects as well, although maybe starts to wear on you a bit after too long. Nice work though!
Great game!!
Please put the end game screen after the player finish the game (I can't see clearly the game and it lets you feel like you finished before you actually finish).
The sound effects were my favorite! hahaha. I wish it were easier to pick up stuff from the ground and drop it off at the little stations tho.
Such a cute game!! The graphics and the sound effects made the game very enjoyable!! I love how Blue collects the items and carries it on his head, its adorable!!
