Definitely a cool idea! I could see this being a fun little game on newgrounds way back when flash games were popular! I hope you visit this again in the future! If you have the time, I'd appreciate it if you could also check out my game!

Ohhh newgrounds, sweet memories :D

Your post made me get the domain name. After polishing the game, maybe it will become the next blobby volley for bored it students in class xD

Cool idea! The pixel art was a super cool style and the game was fun to play. One suggestion is you might want to look at your image filtering settings in your game engine though, as some of the images are a bit blurred. Other than that, amazing game. I'd love if you could check out my game too!

Thx for the feedback, will check the pictures for the remake. And I will play your game as soon as I am at my computer.

loved the idea!it was very fun!

Nice job!

It'll be nice if you check out our game too😁

Thx, i'll Check it out for sure.

Hey man, nice idea. Quite a creative way to fit the There and Back and Collectiables theme, well done. I didnt understand what the yellow blocks were for, any maybe don't swear in the tutorial, we might have some younger people here as well.

Overall, well done.

The yellow blocks are straw blocks, don't really know the correct english term for it^^

They should block the way of the farmer. In fact they are the best way to do so. There is an imba tactic with using them against the other player.

It seems like you played the game alone. The usage of the items gets more clear if one plays the farmer and one tries to place the items to defend the chickens.

And yeah you may be right with the swear thing because of young folks participating here. Normally I just code for me and my mates, so swearing wasn't a problem till now.

Here is a sad sad video of me playing this alone.

Nice idea with videoreviewing jam games. I'll comment my response on youtube, because of the algorythm ;)

This looks like it will be fun to play with others! I like the concept of the 2 farmers stealing from one another until even they aren't sure which chickens were theirs in the 1st place

The last part is something I'll eventually change. I think of make every chicken slightly different, maybe with also different behavior. But that's a thing I need way more time for, than the game gave me.

This game was pretty fun with another person.  It's fast and frantic.  It was fun to rain foxes on my friend.   Nice job!

Thx for playing. Finally someone with friends :D

Such a fun game!

The tutorial can use some polish... It's going so fast that a looked at is like 5 times before I got it..☺

The tutorial will be rebuild and made interactive after the jam. Nearly everyone shares your opinion about it xD

Love the idea! Wish I had another player to play with but I can imagine this being fun to play with others. Good job :)

Yeah the lack of friends in the dev scene is much greater than I expected. Next time I start with single player :D

The idea was really fun and it works, really nice job on that one, it also fit the theme.

A few notes to improve upon: the tutorial was way to quick, consider letting the user decide when he wants to read further.
The music was not the highlight, but that's okay :D
The font used, was a bit blurry, if you used UI Text, consider using TextmeshPro, it's part of unity and crystal clear text :D

Good job on the game :)

The tutorial is a real problem. It will be improved after the jam. And the music...yeah let's say while creating it I already realized, that I have no clue what the fuck I am doing xD

The font on the other hand,...I use TextMeshPro, but I think it is becaus of the pixel font. Unity has a problem with pixel perfect camera. Outside the jam, I use an asset as workaround, but wanted no assets for the jam. Maybe I have to learn to write the pixel perfect cam myself.

Haha I had the same with creating music, just trying to create a melody with a piano or something else, it didn't work at all lol

omg i felt so scared when the sound of getting hit by a fox appeared. HAHAHAH

The game needs some improvements in visuals (animations) and that's it.

good job! keep it up!

I'd like you see my game and tell me how was it !:D

I ran out of time, just the few frames for idle, walking and get hit  would have done a lot.

I will definitely continue working on this project to fix everything from the critics I received :)

Thx for playing.

And yes, I will play your game for sure when I'm on my computer.

Even though I have no friends to play with, I still understood what you were trying to do . I like the variety of different obstacles that my opponent could use against me, and  the concept and idea is very creative!

I really underestimated how few friends developers have. Until now not one in the jam played it with someone else xD

Music is fine, graphics are simple but smooth. The gameplay itself could be fun if i have someone to play it with :c  but how i played it, it seems that the player who has the mouse cant do to much to stop the farmer

Feel free to check out my game, it will mean a lot to me

Interesting, most of the balancing critics I got so far where the other way around, that the mouse player is over powered.

When I continue the game, better balancing will for sure be one of the more important aspects to look for.

For sure I will play your game too when I'm at my computer next time.

Really cool game! The tutorial for me was too fast, I couldn't read it all in one try. Overall great game!, Congrats on your entry

You are not the only one having trouble with the tutorial, I really have to build it new from scratch after the jam. Thx for feedback

Nice idea, I had a Link's Awakening vibe when catching and throwing the chickens haha.

I couldn't see the top of the screen for some reason, I'm on a small laptop screen, that's maybe why (on the browser version).

I like the cute art, the music and sound effects fit really well together.

Good job!

Yeah, Zelda was an inspiration to that game concept.
The screen problem, was it the whole time or just in the game screen? Have to test it on a small screen myself after the jam.
Nice to hear, that you liked it :)

The tutorial had this issue because I was seeing a text related to something I couldn't see at the top of the screen. And during gameplay I couldn't see it either. I think that's where we would see the total of $ that we have :).

I LOVE THE SOUND EFFECTS! So funny, cute art too. I had to play solo but it was still fun to be able to chuck the chickens and see how the sabotages worked! :) Amazing work my dude

Thx mate, was a hard way. Maybe I will improve the game after the Jam, if others like it too :)
