Great work altogether! I think adjusting the difficulty so the AI aiming is a bit less punishing would really let the core mechanic shine by giving the player fulfilment in the power fantasy. I thought the sound and music complemented the gameplay nicely, and the duotone sprites gave the graphics a unique look!

Did you work in a team?
I was alone, still fun tho
Was the resolution a challenge?
Not really, besides not being able to explain things in text. Drawing pixel art for such a low resolution was a fun challenge
What did you learn?
This is the first time I enter a jam that is longer than 2 days. I had a lot of time to learn new stuff instead of trying to apply what I already know as fast as possible. Also as it turns out non-spaghetti code makes everything else 10 times easier :]

I really love the music! Graphics are nice too! I like how you communicated information to the player.
Really good use of a limited screen area for this type of game. Happy you included the "tip" on the page as I didn't work out what was going on until I read "Enemies will aim down the last position they saw you" - then I could see the lines being projected and it made sense. I felt like such a dummy.
Great entry!
Awesome game! Hiding the cover and shuffling around feels very good, not to mention the polish and attention to detail. The artstyle and sound design are pretty good too. Great job!
It was a great game! I loved the mechanics. My only complaint that the nightclub level was too hard.
That last boss was super hard :D fun original game! You called it a demo and I agree this would make a great full game! :)
All around an awesome game! Well executed with a simple but challenging mechanic. I tore through the levels
Amazing game, all fives! I couldn’t tear myself away until the very end, the atmosphere made me forget about the low resolution. Very well done!
Nice simple shooter mechanics really well executed. The predictable behaviour of the enemies and the way they telegraph their shots make it fun diving between cover. The music is really weird and I love it. Feels like a Superhot mini-game, great stuff. :)
I loved this! The mechanics were so tight, which is impressive for a gamejam game - particularly the risk vs. reward of staying out of cover to improve accuracy and moving between cover to divert enemy aim!
I would have liked an ammo/reload system to keep the pressure up. But I loved how you added a combo system too which adds replayability/speedrun potential. I wasn't able to finish it, but I'll be coming back to this one!
Thank you, I was considering implementing a reload mechanic but since the game doesn't punish the player for staying in cover for too long in it's current state, it just kinda slowed the game down without being an extra challenge for the player so I decided to keep it out of this version.
Also had speedrunning in mind, my personal best is 1:21.50, you can find the video in the game's page if you are interested :]
This game is awesome. The music and graphics are great. The gameplay is fun. It's quit difficult on some levels
That is such a unique idea you have there!
The controls are responsive, the gameplay is fun, and the music is awesome. I liked how our character's aim is dependent on our movement, it makes the player pay attention to its surroundings and calculate when it is safe to take a few shots at the enemy. I really enjoyed the game.
Awesome job!
This game is really amazing, it really feels like a shooter game at a physical arcade. The mechanics are very tight and fit really well with the equally impressive art. For me it was really hard, but I'm a noob! Very satisfying when you get the drop on them from a surprise location.
