Thanks very much!!

The physics on the pinballs are very nice, it's satisfying to watch them whiz around the screen. The score bonus and accompanying music are super satisfying. The mouse controls are a bit unintuitive and slow, the game got better when shifting to A and D instead. The only gameplay problem I ran into was a nasty tendency for the right flipper to launch the pinball straight up vertically, repeatedly.  This happened often with the bonus ball. The graphics are a touch plain, although the visual effects on the pinballs help and the sound effects and music go a long way in adding charm.

Developer

Thanks for playing, yep if you hit the ball with a flipper directly over the center it can go up and down forever, due to it bouncing straight up when hitting a flat surface like the fully extended flipper. A way to get around this is to counter-intuitively just let the ball drop and hit the angled flipper to get it back in play. Good point though, ideally that situation shouldn't happen at all!

I got 12,961 points :)

I would imagine ball physics are difficult to get right at this resolution, but your solution is pretty solid! I enjoyed the adaptive music and the mouth sounds, as well as the multiball mechanic with the score gauge. The board is quite simplistic but I still enjoyed the few minutes I spent with a round. :) Great effort!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I had some vague plans for some more mechanics in my concept art but ran out of time. I wish had been able to add the floating pipe one, I think it could have looked pretty cool in motion.

loved the music and the sfx :D

I managed to score 6814! I don't know what the criteria was for getting multiple pinballs, but it was fun to have a bunch of them bounce around. Nice trail effects too!

Developer

Nice score! Thanks and glad you noticed the trail effects, I added those early on and something about having them gave me motivation to stick with it.

loved the music and the sfx :D

Thanks :D

YES, YES

Personally I think the placeholder sound effects are more charming

Developer

Thanks a lot!!

PINBALL!!! I’m a sucker for pinball games so I’m glad to see one in this jam! I found the flipper physics just a bit rough around the edges sometimes but I know how tricky that is to get in a pinball game. I did enjoy playing though! I’m getting Gobliins 2 vibes from the music which is a plus in my book, and the silly sfx are perfection 🤌

Developer

Thanks for playing, glad you enjoyed the music and the sound effects. It's funny, I listened to the Gobliins 2 sound track and I don't fully hear the similarity to these tracks but I do hear a big similarity from that to some of the more orchestral tracks the composer Will has made, so that's really neat that you picked up on that, must be a subtle musical style thing.

Yeah there's an unfortunate bug I couldn't quite squash which I call the ghost flipper. I tried to make it a little easier to get multi-balls to make up for when it crops up, but there's still nothing that can make your stomach drop like seeing a ball fall right through your flipper :)

a pinball game is pretty ambitious. the SFX are great :>

Developer

Thanks! :D

Pretty good use of sFX, that other guy doesn't know what he's talking about! For what I've seen in the comments, you should totally add a global highscore with your rank and the first 3 or so. It'd drive a lot of people to play just another one if they feel like they can pass the next guy or they're not far off 1st. Great submission!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! You're exactly right, adding a high score is the number one thing I wish I had time to do for this game. I hope to add it later on, maybe with a speed-replay feature where you can replay other people's high score playthrough.

Submitted(+1)

my score 11,200 \o/ once you get those balls its insanity! And I love how you do the music! I don't know how you did pixelated physics but it looks very impressive! and obviously extra points for the sfx :')

Developer(+1)

Many thanks, glad you had fun rickylee! Great score too!

Submitted(+1)

Good physics, but the sounds are weird. Otherwise well done.

Developer

Thanks, glad you liked the physics, that's where most of the work went into!

Submitted(+1)

Very addicting. It turns out that low resolution is not a problem for a pinball game. And sfx made me laugh, a brilliant solution!

Developer

Many thanks! Big fan of your games.

I got a highscore of 5565. I love the sound effects especially the launch one!

If you have the time can you try my game out as well? <3

Developer

Thanks for playing, nice score! I think the launch is my favorite sound effect too, definitely gonna try your game.

Submitted(+1)

Pretty fun game, I like the sound effects.

Developer

Thanks glad you had fun mkhoi!

Submitted(+1)

always like pinball. suggestion some kind of art/theme/background to the table. Bravo.

Developer(+1)

Thank you, that's a great suggestion! You never see a real pinball machine without some attractive background art to lure you in!

Submitted(+1)

Simple nice pinball game. I liked the quirky sound effects - they are all edited voice recordings right? :D

I was not quite sure what the left score bar was supposed to display - but I’m not particularly knowledgable about pinball games or pinball in general!

Simple straight forward idea and good execution!

Developer

Thanks for the kind words, yep all sound effects are voice recordings, and thanks for playing! The score bar tracks your final score (gained when the ball bounces with bonuses for hitting a bumper) and if you fill up the score bar once you get a free multi-ball :)

Submitted(+1)

I like the idea of having multiple balls on the field, you even get a different music for it!

It was a bit difficult to predict the movement of the balls as they appear as squares. The unpredictability was also fun in it's own right tho

personal best 12,604 btw :]

Developer

Thanks for playing! You've got the highest posted score right now!
