Did you work in a team?
Solo project. Great experience overall despite the last minute crunch. Learned a lot about code structure, scope, and polish.
Was the resolution a challenge?
For what it is, this game packs a lot of information about object relationships that the player needs to understand. I explain most things via sound and animation to conserve realestate and avoid having to use words to explain what's happening.
What did you learn?
I think I gained a better understanding of structuring a turn based puzzle like this, and I also learned how important it is to have a good framework for procedural animations. I originally intended to learn PICO-8 for my submission, but I quickly realized that I would not live up to my own expectations if I not only had to ship a game, but also learn a new platform -- so I stuck to what I'm familiar with: LÖVE, which the initial prototype was built in during the first few days.

Amazing! Such a good game made in 2 weeks! Congrats!
Thank you for the kind words!
this game is really fun! although this is simple game but it makes me addicted and the art is also beautiful.
great game.
Thanks so much <3
Very cool game! The rules looked a bit daunting at first, but they were quite intuitive once I started playing the game. I like the options you have and the strategy it takes to optimise everything. The graphics are very charming and there's a lot of polish in the animations and sound design. I especially like the way everything counts up on the score screen. Speaking of the score screen...
Hah, I kind of regret exposing that much of the rules on the page as it seems more intimidating than they actually are once you start playing. Unfortunately I had to deprioritise the in-game tutorial, but I'll likely be adding that in a post-jam version.
1410 is pretty good! Thank you for playing and for the feedback!! :)
Very nifty premise! fits neatly into the confines of the jam in all ways. the art is sharp and the card/tile based gameplay is straightforward and intriguing.
Thanks so much for the feedback!
Simple, fun and very nice looking. Very good game!
Snakes not so bad it seems )
Thank you!!
I like the game! I've enjoyed playing it. Congrats!! :)
Thank you for playing!!
Conceptually, this is a gem. Simple to pick up, but just the right amount of challenge, I have to ask how much tuning you applied to the random selection of each days tiles? Great stuff!
950 on my first market day, which I hope to handwave away by explaining that I had no idea what I was doing for a tiny bit of time - but really I just wanted to pet the snakes.
There is…zero tuning on the random selection. Every turn it picks how many actions you get, then rolls for each. Everything else is your brain ascribing intent to it. Funny how that works :D Thank you for the feedback!
this is a great game with lots of originality and charm, well done. it's easy to learn but pretty challenging in the end.
Thank you! Glad you liked it :)
This game is great and super engaging! Ended up playing it multiple times trying to optomise a strategy :) Did you ever consider showing a preview of the next set of tiles like how tetris shows the next block? It might be cool to allow some planning with ahead like that. I really liked the risk reward between the mushrooms and the plants and which to use the water tiles on. Overall I think it's really well designed and a lot of fun to play!
Yeah several players gave me feedback that having a preview of upcoming actions would introduce a nice layer of strategy — and I agree! Likely something I will add in a post-jam version.
Thanks so much for the feedback!!
Looking forward to trying that!
Really fun, i really like this twist in a garden game and i would like to see it expand, it was kind of cruel when you needed to pick up your products but you never got the hand.
Thank you for playing! Yeah the random drops can get a bit punishing right now… :)
I don't know why but the game didn't work on my computer :( so I made my vote based on the screenshots you uploaded to the page. the game looks very nice. good luck
That's unfortunate :( Did you try both the web version or downloading?
yes i tried but it didn't work, your game looks so good i really wish i could play it
:( All I can advise you is to maybe try a different browser for the web version…
But here's a video of gameplay so at least you get a better feel for it if you want to rate:
The game is much better than I expected. I especially loved the music and sound effects. thank you for sharing the gameplay video with me
You did a really good job teaching the game mechanics via the animations and sound effects. Really fun puzzle game, great stuff. :)
Thanks so much :)
Pretty cute game - concept, graphics, and audio were all really nice, and no complaints that I can think of.
Thank you!!
Fun little puzzle game! Graphics are great, music is catchy!
Thank you!!
This game was absolutely fun to play.
I'm glad to hear that, thanks for playing! :)
What can I say, nice puzzles with gorgeous graphics 😍
Thank you!! Glad you enjoyed it
This is amazing! It is a lot of fun testing out the tiles and learning through the gameplay, I've never seen anything like it! The visuals and sounds also go really well with it. But I think it could show the tiles for the next day, maybe use those 4 tiles on the top for it.
Thank you for the feedback! I'll likely be adding lookahead to the post-jam version :)
Quite a clever concept, with a lot of interesting choices to make throughout the 30 day game. Almost nothing is truly explained but the game doesn't suffer from that at all, the discovery process is quite rewarding. The graphics are extremely pleasing while remaining readable, and the music and sound effects are on point. The polish here is to an absurd degree.
Thanks so much for the nice feedback!
I forgot that this was a 64x64 pixel game almost immediately after starting it, thanks to the effective spritework. Extremely catchy music that's still playing in my head while I type this. The first time I used a hand on a snake, exactly what I thought should happen happened, which was very satisfying. Really great!
Thank you for the kind words!!
Cool game! I really like the dynamic of trying to deal with whatever gets thrown at you while simultaneously trying to raise your score. It's a fun balancing act. great job!
Thank you so much!
