Nice game, I thought it is another shoot to move until I found out the grappling hook. the shooting is satisfying and the swinging feels great. Only thing I notice is the light orb not registering collision with the player.

You can move at breakneck speeds and pull off crazy stunts in this fast-paced acrobatic shooter, but you do not have direct control on the player.

Interesting concept, loved the grapple hooks. Was a bit concerned with what the game was because it didn't load properly for me at the start and I was wondering what's happening. Had to restart.
Goddamn, I love me some graplehooks in my videogames.
Feels great to sling around like that man, nice job :)
The game was quite fun and I liked the gameplay, especially how meaty the audio was. The shadows on the ground also acted as a nice way to tell me where the fire was and I rather liked it. Movement also felt solid.
The only problem I had was how nauseating the camera was, and by then end of it my head hurt a little. Perhaps adding a way to disable it would be better, or toning down the effect
As for the shooting, I didn't end up really using it, electing to mostly just skip past enemies altogether and just try to beeline for the camp fire.
Thanks for playing and for all the feedback!
I imagine motion sickness can get pretty bad with a game like this, I'll keep that in mind if I keep working on it after the jam, thanks for letting me know. I also agree that enemies don't feel dangerous enough to be worth shooting right now.
I'm glad you liked the audio, that was pretty fun to make :D
Really fun entry, there was quite a bit of speed. It was very subtle on the outskirts but the shadows cast by the exit would help direct me in the right direction which was very awesome. I will say that I ended up not using the grapple very much, I found the shoot was a much more consistent way of moving. Great entry
Thanks for playing, I'm glad you liked it!
Looks like the shadows are definitely working to guide players, I'm happy about that. I've had people tell me they mostly use the grapple and almost never shoot, and others like you that mostly shoot and barely grapple, it's good to know both strategies are valid :)
Cool take on the 'Shoot-to-move'. I like how there are two different modes movement. You've got a potentially pretty fun mechanic in the works and it would be great to see you take your game to the next level.
- I found the camera impulses too disorientating when you shoot. It can be toned down and still have the same effect you're going for.
- The enemies felt a little useless. My focus was always to just rush straight for the light source.
- Great work on using shadows as a way to guide the player through the level.
To be honest I wasn't sure at all about the mechanics during the jam, but now that I see the response I'm considering continuing the project afterwards. I agree with your criticism, especially about enemies which are not doing much right now, and the camera could definitely use a little work. Again, happy to hear the light/shadows work well as a guide!
Thanks for playing and for the detailed feedback :D
I played this entirely the wrong way at first and launched myself around using the recoil of the gun. Pretty solid concept; I'm super impressed by the use of 3D assets. Only gripe is the zoomed in camera makes it hard to navigate.
Also, that hit sound is hilarious.
10/10 would YEEEGH again
I really like how solid the physics/mechanics feel. Nice and simple to get the hang of. Fun concept too. Great work!
Really liked the movement. It's fun for that moments where you need to "waste" some time :)
Clever use of light direction and intensity to show where the exit is. The slinging mechanic felt good to use but you didn't really need to use it to finish levels.
The movement is really smooth and fun. The sound effects could use some work...
Love it, always like fast paced game and this one is pretty good. Only thing I would add is a brake mechanic so that when you are about to crash into a wall you can quickly break + shoot in an opposite direction to prevent crashing. In this way players could actually react to the crash, without compromise the theme "out of control" too much.
Still, the game is pretty cool, good job!
(btw I found a bug when you crash into a wall super fast you could get stuck in it and get hit continuously then die, haha)
Really fun game. I feel like i shouldn't have taken me back to lvl 0 when i die so it got a bit frustrating. I also "accidentally" turned on my auto clicker and went SPEEEEEEEEEED. I went to fast i clipped through the walls lol! I also love the EEEE sound effect when you get hurt lol
The game was really cool, I didn't really know what was happening, but it was fun. Great job.
