How does your game fit the theme?
(***CHECK THE README FILE THAT COMES WITH THE GAME FOR "DEBUG" OPTIONS. You can use O and P to skip levels, among other things. I left them in so Jam players can quickly see the whole game.***) We interpreted this meaning "out of the player's control" rather than "chaotic". There is an ancient spirit messing with you and testing you. The movement of the room cannot be controlled by the player. It can get out of hand if you do not take time to plan. However, you can interact with objects to influence your own movement and get to the exit, solve the ancient spirit's puzzles, and escape.

Cool concept!

I don't know what it his, but something about the player feels... strange... maybe is the physics, maybe the controls, mabe both... i don't know... The game is fun, but is heavly dragged down by this problem...

I would also add the ability to the player to "skip the waiting", whitout having to acess it trough a debug button... Waiting sucks in general, and the're only a few games that do it right...

Overall the game is quite good... 4/5, Good Job!!!

Yo this was fun! nice music and mechanics!

That's an amazing game! I played the whole thing.

I love the mechanic, art, music and sounds. Some kind of a short story is a nice thing to have.

I can't add much to it, this game is really solid! Excellent!

This is an incredible idea! It is near perfectly executed as a puzzle plat-former. I can see so many different things that can be done with this it is amazing!

My only criticism is that I wish the text was larger and maybe had a black background, it was hard to read at times.

I hope you continue to work on this and polish it up for a full release! Best of luck on your future game dev!

This is a really neat idea, and I really like the way the timing affects the platforming! I saw a comment that the jump was being changed post jam, and that'll fix most of my deaths haha, I had a real tough time on some of the spike jumps. I think the music and cog background effects really bring this game together into a great presentation, really good job!

This is a very cool concept. And on the core idea is expended upon in a logical manner.

It's neat having to visualize a level rotated before it actually happens so you know where to stand when it happens.

The visuals and sounds are great as well.

And I love the idea to have debug options in a build for a jam so players can expierence the whole game even if they are stuck on a level.

In my opinion the ability to trigger the next turn early should not be a debug option, though. That should be part of the official game mechanics. It's very good that the timing is lenient in some cases to make sure all players are able to make it but waiting for 10ish seconds slows down the game if you are a faster player.

And the thing that brings down the game the most in my opinion are the platforming controls. While it makes physical sense that you aren't able to control your character mid-jump, it just doesn't feel good to play. In a game like this the platforming should be second nature and not be something that the player has to actively think about. I landed in spikes more times than I would care to admit because I couldn't adjust mid-jump. That paired with having to wait on turns made me skip levels that I otherwise could have easily completed.

Apart from that the controls also felt a bit floaty but not too bad actually.

So yeah, fix the platforming controls and make them a bit tighter, make the ability to trigger the turns a main ability and you got yourself a truly great game.

As it is now it's still a very solid game for a GameJam submission. Great job!

Really solid submission, wish I could play on for a few more levels!

Only issue I had was with the movement feeling imprecise, so I was often stuck in a state of "ok I know what to do just - nope, overshot it again" and then repeating multiple tries. I'd also prefer if the rotation indicator & clock were closer to the play area that we're playing attention to, but that's very minor.

Cheers and congrats on the submission!

The music and the art are really good, but mechanic-wise I have a few smaller problems. The controls felt a bit floaty, and that combined with quite a bit of waiting, and relatively slow respawn time made the experience a little fustrating in some levels. Other than that, the concept is good, and overall I had a good time playing it.

The team couldn't/wouldn't test the game unfortunately so I was the only playtester.

Game jam games really should all have a skip button. Lovely music, great game idea. Like most suggestions, probably should improve the jump, and maybe add a skip timer button, so that the player doesn't have to wait.

I found this game really enjoyable and thought that it had some really fun puzzles. One thing I would like to see added if you ever took this game farther is some way to force the clock to move forward that way you don't have to wait when you are in the right spot, kind of like in Tetris when you can make the blocks fall faster once you have them in the right spot.

This game was a interesting puzzler, but I am sure there is more to make it a little more challenging

Thanks for playing! I definitely had more levels and ran out of time. I like the idea of boxes with limited clicks. Maybe in the after Jam update? ;)

Everything in this game is incredible! 5/5

Very clever puzzle design, visuals and audio. I liking the feel of the game, bringing some nostalgic vibe. I'm wandering, what game engine did you use? (Sorry, post comment button multi-clicked ;))

Developer(+1)

I made it in GMS.

So this is one of my fave jam games so far, and I really, really adore the aesthetics, the music, and the entire feel! Congrats!

If your goal was to hit the nostalgia bone with the aesthetics , you nailed it! :D  and the gameplay is gun too

Hey, thanks so much!

Yeah, i love it :) it is really fun idea

I like the concepts!  The puzzles were neat but had some cheese potential as you can skip using the pendulums in every level they appear in.  The art looks great and with some polish this could be a really good game.

Thanks! We're planning an after Jam version, follow us if you want to know when it's done :)

A really nice game but quite some really nicely design puzzle. The clock pendulum is a nice idea especially when used with the blocks.

Sometimes I had to fight a bit with the platforming physics but overall I had a really good timer with it.

Congrats!

Thanks! The level design is by me. I'll be changing the jump in the after Jam release so you can turn around in midair. It will be up as soon as voting ends.

An excellent approach to the theme and nice visuals!

I think the controls could be more snappy because it was frustating how I always moved into spikes...

I also like the BG music, it fits the theme :)

Great Job!
