I really liked the many ways the sword is used! While the game would have otherwise been simple, I'm glad you took the time to design some neat levels, especially using the fact that the sword can bring you to the other color of the checkerboard and enforcing that concept with the wizards. The soundtrack is pretty nice, too! Overall, it's a great game, and I think the team should be very proud of their work.

I love how you recreate a classic puzzle mechanic with one little, but sophisticated change. The game is well polished and interesting to play. Well done!

High praise, thank you! We're glad you enjoyed, thanks for playing :)

Oh man, I love the dual purpose enemies have in this game, being both your greatest strength as well as your greatest obstacle. The fact that enemies can be attacked to cross multiple tiles in a single turn is brilliant! It makes for such interesting gameplay choices. The final level plays with these choices real well, and had it me stuck for a decent bit until I finally got it, haha! There's heaps of potential here, and I'd love to see you guys turn this into a fully-realized game.

Nice little puzzle! The opening cutscene is really nice looking and funny! Music is good and the way the puzzle work fits the theme of the jam. Good job!

Amazing concept! You really managed to fool me with some levels, by putting items i didn't need to interact with :D Well done!

Perfect implementation of dual purpose design! Killing enemies is used as: killing, movement, recharge for movement, obstacle. its perfect! 5 stars!

Wow, what an under-appreciated amazing game :0
I am a fan of puzzles, and played many of them, but your one is just so good! Initially, I was attracted by the style pf your art, the visuals are really cool, but then I wasn't able to stop playing because I wanted to know how to solve the puzzle. I have no idea how did you manage to think of every possible route and make such clever designs for levels in only 2 says. And the sound design only adds to the game. Best of luck to you, the potential of the game is surely super high!

5/5 for the originality! The cursed blade definitely seemed to be out of control!

That was very good game. I usually don't care for puzzle games but this one was engaging with a great mechanic. A couple tricky levels too! Everything was well done though, the art, the music, the gameplay. I really liked it!

What a good game!

This is a good interpretation of the theme. I like most of the puzzles, though for some of them I feel the solution to be unsatisfying, since a lot of the parts weren't used in my solution. The music is great!

Such a great concept, the intro was short and straight to the point, puzzles cleverly made. art was nice, even tho it felt that its the one thing the game can be improved on, some better art and juiciness would make it worth of buying.
Also, I felt like i cheated my way out of some puzzles and didnt play them the way intended since I didnt use/care about half the room
Congrats on your entry, and best of luck!

That was a cool intro! i really like the puzzle mechanic. you have to think about each move. If you like this idea, keep working on it! Awesome job submitting a clever game to this jam and I hope you improve your game making skills. If you have time, please check out my game :D

A really neat idea with a pretty execution and a lovely aesthetic! I like that the sword has a personality of its own, I just always enjoy those kind of story and character creation things. I really dig this game's art style, and I'm loving the background music. The music both suits the mood, and is totally my favoured genre of music. Lovely work! :D

Hello, I have a weird bug where my character does "into" the box instead of pushing it. So I'm stuck in the third level. But I love the concept! Great job.

Developer

Huh weird, we haven’t encountered that one. Would you be willing to post a screenshot? Thanks so much for playing!
