The presentation in this is top-notch! The effects look really good, but the camera shake might have been just a bit extreme. I really like the detail of how the wall actually pops out a cannon and shoots back at you, rather than just reflecting the bullet. The weapon pickups were also really exciting, since you know you're getting an upgrade, but at the same time there will be more bullets to dodge. It would be nice if there were some health pickups, so that your run could keep going for longer.

Ok, although I had some terrible lags with music (it was extremely laggy) , I can't really complain since the mix of "Mac Os + WebGL" is a killing combo for the optimization.  The game itself had a small number of lags, though

I've seen you said that you were using pre-existed art, but I think it wouldn't look as cool as it does without your proper use of visual feedback etc. I think you've done a good job to show every time when I get hit. However, I understand that the theme was "out of control," but there was too many enemies from the beginning. I would love this level as a boss fight, not the first thing I do in the game ahah. But overall, it didn't ruin the experience, and I had fun with the game. Very solid execution and great submission

Wow this was super well made! it was very fun to shoot the enemies. but there was some lagging in the game, though. If you have time, please check out my game :D

This is really cool. I love the concept. Maybe the problem is me.I thought it's too harder. But I can't stop playing this game.Man, you've done addicting game. I got so much fun. Great job.

You made gorgeous effects and an incredible amount of polish for such a short time! The game feels great to play. I experienced some lagging towards later stages of the game, though.

Cool. I like the concept. This is a *very* difficult game, but somehow doesn't feel unfairly difficult. That's amazing for 48 hours. Well done!

wow! fast paced! my highest score was 125,000 it is NOT easy :D

Original take on the bullet hell genre. I had fun playing it. I wish the power-ups were a little bigger, though; it's hard to catch them with such a speedy tank

Really cool, I got to 66000 points! I gotta be honest, the game needs some optimisation, because even though I have a pretty decently good graphics card, your game was lagging a lot, but it didn't really ruin the fun experience overall. Good job!

Thanks for the feedback. I went way too light happy for the effects so the web version runs pretty poorly. Next time I'll try to account for that. The downloadable version should run pretty smoothly though!

Super crisp movement which i really liked. A lot of the jam games so far have had quite hard to control characters so i like that this one was quite smooth. Nice addictive game play and good visuals. Few laggy moments with WebGL but expected! A real nice experience.

Quite an interesting concept! I'm no great shake a bullet hell sorta games so found it quite challenging very quickly haha. I almost felt like the walls however should be a little more potent, cause right now with all the other tanks and shots about it ain't really matter that the walls fire back. Other than that good presentation and a fun little game :)

Definitely out of control, and really nice crisp control and graphics which is very impressive for a 48hr jam! Nice one

Very chaotic and out of control. Presentation is awesome and the controls are smooth as butter. Well done!

It become a bit tricky very quick, since bullets are everywhere and the pattern for the bullets are kinda unpredictable. But overall great work!

At first I was worried this would be too similar to other games about out of control shooting in this jam, but it turns out the twist here works really well. It doesn't take long at all for this game to get out of control, so it definitely fits the theme, but as a result, the learning curve is quite steep and the game can lag a bit. It might've been improved by letting enemy tanks die from red bullets as well, which would calm the overwhelming chaos a bit, and give the player extra strategy while moving around when out of ammo. The use of colours and sound was very futuristic and cool. Good job!

Nice work! The game was pretty polished and fun to play. There's a decent amount of small things you could add to make it better though, that being:

* a way to recover health

* displaying the names of powerups

* changing the color of gray tanks to make them easier to spot

Having the walls shoot you is a good idea, though you'll usually only get killed by enemy tank fire. If you were able to choose weapons, and make the wall bullets more dangerous, you could have a great risk/reward system where choosing the more powerful weapons would be able to kill tanks easily, while posing the threat of the walls shooting back at you with great force.

Thanks for the feedback. The wall turrets are sort of designed to create "filler" bullets much like the gray tanks. About 20% of the time they do try to lead their shot to catch you off guard, but the bullet speed is a bit slow so if you're far away it's still going to be pretty inaccurate. I actually had an earlier version with more dangerous turrets. The player would not lose their shot buff (triple or fast fire) until they ran out of energy so they would have to choose between avoiding a pickup to get rid of their buff or grabbing it whenever. I felt like it was a bit unintuitive  to the player so I ultimately changed it to what it is now.

As for recovering health, your suggestion just gave me the idea to maybe reward bullet grazing with slight health gain.

It's pretty fun. Gets really chaotic really fast.

Very polished and original take on the theme! But the game is way too hard and the difficulty ramps up too quickly for you to be able to play. Perhaps with a bit of balancing and additional mechanics (enemy/wall bullets can destroy enemies themselves perhaps) this can be a fun game!

Submitted

Really interesting concept. Though honestly it's hard to appreciate it when the game gets so intense. I feel like the walls shooting back could add some tactical depth but personally I found it too chaotic to even be sure what was firing at me. Very well polished mind.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. I probably should have gotten people to play test the game during development since I really like the twitchy chaotic aspect of shoot-em-ups and not so much the pattern memorization. It doesn't help that I got gradually better at my own game while developing it either.

Clearly can see theme inside the game. Gets a bit hard with time also. But why is  the name "wall has bullets". Didn't understand that! Anyway, great work on the game :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback. The name is a play on the saying "the walls have eyes" which is a somewhat popular saying/usage in media.

Okay!

If feel like the game has potential, but it gets messy real quick, making it hard to play.
