As a ex-player with 70k stars I can say, this idea would make a great mini game

Lmao this is just like our game! Same concept. Great execution on this one.

What a bad concept for a game smh! I would never make something similar to this.

Literally

Funny one! So difficult lol, but pretty fun.

The inverted text is such a cool touch. This is probably my favorite execution of the theme. Fun to play too.

Really cool idea, great!

Oh man that's awesome. This is frustrating kindof but in like a good way if that makes sense? Hitting the corners really is such a weirdly good feeling. I like the simplicity of it (that is something I appreciate about jams- they give us an excuse to do simple stuff). Did you get good at this during playtesting?

Previous games of ours were way too hard for jam games. We may have gone too far in the other direction, haha. Better this than that though, I think. If we had more time we could have done bombs, we talked about it. Thanks!

Guess it applies here too? Ha. I hope you weren't offended by that comment- your game really was great.

Great! I felt there could be a little more strategy involved, I didn't really need to think much, but that's fine / nitpicky for a jam game. It also doesn't reaaaallly fit the theme too well either. Man though, that aside this is one of the better submissions for sure. Had a lot of fun with it. Not to mention the high quality art/music. Good work.

A bit tricky on trackpad haha. Cool.

Love me a sokoban

Clever idea!

A bit confusing / hard to play at times but the concept is fantastic. Great.

*himshellf haha. Thanks so much!

Good!

I like it. Really unfortunate about that bug, that's a terrible feeling. Tip on hitboxes: typically it's better to make them generous rather than strict. You should be able to clip a decent bit into spikes without dying. It's fine if a tight pathway feels doable but if an easy-enough looking pathway feels tight, that's annoying to the player. Art and theming is really cool.

Tricky puzzles (usually) don't do that well in game jams, as much as I love puzzle games to death. I've learned that jam players typically appreciate juice-frenzies more. But personally puzzle games are my jam and if you wanna make them godspeed.

Love the music and concept. Fits the theme in the gameplay itself, rather than just theming it after something that's been flipped which is what most ppl did. Fleshed out this could be really cool.

The eating animation is great. I like funny jam entries.

Oh that's hilarious..

The concept it pretty cool. I ended up accidentally killing the slime and having to restart the puzzle though. GMTK's developing series talks about the problems with mixing puzzles and platforming. I think it can be done right though. This concept is def ripe for cool puzzles and it was still fun.

We had similar ideas! Cool game

ahahahaha

I got stuck on one of the later levels and no matter what combination I tried I seemed to end up getting the warrior down to 1 or 2 health. But up to that point it was pretty fun and I like the graphics.

Fun concept

Need this song on spotify 🔥

Wow, these graphics are very nice! I love them. Music is great too, really fits the game.

I like this art style, and the game is very nice. Solid submission for sure I'd say.

I really like puzzle games, so this was cool to play. I think this is a cool mechanic with good potential to at least be explored further. Even just from seeing the beginning puzzles, there were already some clever scenarios, and I found myself thinking and having "ah-ha!" moments when I found the solutions.

I'm not sure how I feel about the skull mechanic, though. I'm not sure it adds much to the game other than complexity.

Overall cool submission!

That's a fun one. I suggest making it so you don't have to hold down the whole time. There's not really any reason to not shoot, so it should just shoot all the time. But other than that I enjoyed this one for sure.

Oh, and I would also suggest faster player movement. As a general rule of thumb for games like this, faster and snappier = more fun (to a point obviously).

Creative. It got a little tedious as it went on but the concept is quite cool and I liked the music.

I love the SFX

Yo, this is insane haha. Creative, intense and gruesome. Very fun.

You guys are so freakin talented. I'm sure this will rank very high when the results come out.

Wow that's a cool one. Very unique. One suggestion is that if you mess up on a later level you shouldn't go back to the start, but it's easy enough that it's not too bothersome anyways. Nice work

Cool! Some interesting ideas in this one and cool take on the theme

Thanks, you can shoot with left click.

Nice! Very clever use of the theme... my one suggestion though is to add a mini-map or something to show where the enemies are, because I would have to search for the last ones at the end. But that's nitpicking. Great work overall.
