What is a man but a miserable mush of secrets?

I really like the vibe of the art, all this needs is a little bit of polish to make the movement cleaner and you'd have everything, good job!

Developer

Glad you liked our dialogue :)

Yeah could 100% use more polish, there was a lot of stuff that we really wanted to do... but of course, that 48 number!

Submitted(+1)

Oh yeah for sure, the list of things we didn't get to for ours is still growing :)

Super cute game - really great stuff! Some seriously nice design work, especially for the treehouse. Saw in another comment that this was your first jam - so congrats on completing your first jam game!

Developer

Thanks so much! We were super happy with the end product for our first time, but finishing all the art was... close!!

Also your game is super cute too!

Art? fantastic. Writing? Wonderful. Impressed? Very

Developer

So sweet of you to say! Thank you so much!

Super cute with simple but fun gameplay! I wish I could have had a better idea of what people needed just by looking at them, without having to get close enough for their dialogue to trigger, but I still had a great time with this. Good job!

Developer

Glad you found it cute! A lot of people have talked about wanting more hints, but we wanted more whimsy and less puzzle... also, 48 hours made it easier to be purposefully unstructured in our item pairings!

@Darthbeeblebrox fun concept, I really enjoyed it would love to see more, great entry man :D

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much! I actually had a team of 4, but it was the first time for any of us so I was the only one with an itch.io account!

Cute little game! :)

Quite good overall.

Well done!

Developer

So glad you liked it!

Really lovely art on this! Love the Pokemon and Star Wars references! They were a neat little touch! Music fitted the game so well too that was great! :D The concept was really cool too I don't think I've played a game with the same theme which is awesome! There is currently a Hearthstone secret with the same mechanic so it was really cool to see this in a jam game! Great job! :D

Developer

Didn't know about the Hearthstone connection, interesting! So glad you liked it, and even that our first-time music worked out!

Submitted(+1)

Wow, these graphics are very nice! I love them. Music is great too, really fits the game.

Developer

So glad you liked the art and music!!! It was my first time doing any music, I'm really happy with how it turned out!

Submitted(+1)

I really like this game, it's really wholesome. A little more clear dialogue or more hints would've been nice. Great work!

Developer

Glad you liked it! Yeah we wanted to flesh out the dialogue more, but in the end we're happy we didn't have hints... we felt that would make it a puzzle game requiring simple underlying structure, instead of whimsical exploration. Hard balance!

Submitted(+1)

I enjoyed playing the game a lot. I think that having to search for the right person to give stuff to is a nice little concept. At my first play I got stuck in an animation with the yellow character. However I enjoyed the little dialouges and had much fun playing it.

Great game!

Developer(+1)

I'm glad you liked it! We wanted the task to be easy and quick to execute, but still encourage people to explore and see more of the world and dialogue!

If you have time I'd love more information about getting stuck with a character?? We had (but theoretically fixed) animation problems with climbing, but I don't think we ever encountered anything with a character?

Submitted

When I searched for the person to give the sunglasses to, I went to the yellow character upstairs, who said that he was fulfilled and already read every book. Every time I tryed to go somewhere else, I got stuck in an animation and was forced to go back to the yellow character. Then he would repeat his dialougue.

Fun game! I understand that every character kinda hints what item they want, but in the end i kinda bruteforce it.  With more dialogue, character, and maybe riddles on who to give the item to, this game would be great! One problem though, i didn't realize that the small "ramp" is considered a ladder that you need to climb. Maybe make the "ramp" clearer or remove it all together. Overall, this game has a great potential!

Developer(+1)

Yeah more playtesting would have helped... in fact some of the dialogue was old versions that didn't fit the final items :|

And yeah the ramps weren't so intuitive, but I'm so glad you liked it in the end!!

Hey! I liked this game a lot! even if the graphics are a little simple, it have a lot of personality and I loved how the music changed, the art and the characters give so much charm, it makes you even think about what this characters do or about the world the live in, great job.

Developer

Thank you so much! We tried to give it some implications of more life... hard to do that in 48 hours but I'm glad it worked for you!!

Its not that fun but the art is amazing! The music is also pleasing to listen to and also congrats with the game popping off too. Check out my game too I would appreciate any and all feedback

Developer(+1)

Glad you enjoyed the art and music even if it wasn't your thing! Definitely will give yours a try!

Submitted(+1)

Really nice job, I tried to always give the beings the wrong item first to see all the dialogue options, you implemented quite a lot in there. Very calming nice interaction game, I really enjoyed it!

Developer

So glad you got the full experience :) And so glad you got some good emotions!!

Submitted(+1)

Dang I loved the story book art style! Great job on this unique idea.  You should keep polishing it~ perhaps find a composer or purchase a really nice music track and then it would be complete :D please check out mine when you have time~

Developer

So glad you liked it! First time making music, so I definitely think pro work would help a lot!

Submitted(+1)

This a really neat game.  You put so much detail into the rooms and characters.  Really cool :)

Developer

So happy you enjoyed it! We felt the detail + exploration is really one of the best ways to have a short but good experience :)

Submitted(+1)

Aw, this was very cute.  I had fun with it.
I guess if I were to feed back anything it'd be smoother movement but I wouldn't really expect that from the jam deadline.  As others said 'td be nice to have further tasks and go forward, but I also get how that was out of scope - it's really nice for how it is ^_^  Thanks for making it!

Developer(+1)

So so glad you liked it!! Yeah we definitely wanted to do lots more, especially ways to interact with things that weren't tasks... but 48 hours oh my!

Submitted(+1)

I hear you! ^_^

Submitted(+1)

You created an appealing world in a very short amount of time with your whimsical art and writing style. Would be happy to spend more time there with a greater variety of tasks. Great job :)

Developer

So glad you liked it!! We are excited to expand it more!
