I liked it
Glad you liked it! Thanks for playing!
I think I somehow flipped the gecko around and got him stuck to the other side of the wall, that was funny
Hahahaha yeah, for some reason I didn't realise that was possible until after we were done! Unintended for sure, but glad it gave you a good laugh! Thanks for playing!
This was fun! Took a second to get use to the controls but that is standard QWOP
Thank you! Glad you liked it!
Excellently unique! I liked the art for the motions a lot, and enjoyed the flopsy motion :)
Thanks so much for playing and for the kind words - glad you had fun!
Great idea! reminds me of GIRP
Thank you!! I actually completely forgot that game existed, but you're right - it's probably closer to that than QWOP!
This was a really interesting and fun concept! It was a very clever take on the theme and the physics were hilarious.
Glad you liked it! Thanks for the kind feedback!
This is so cool! Love the overall atmosphere. I found the best strategy to be moving both front legs then both back legs and it's hilarious. Amazing work! Would love to see more objectives and such.
Thanks for playing and for the kind feedback! Hahah yeah - that strategy is bizarrely effective and honestly a little unintended!! Just being stuck with the back legs should probably have caused the lizard to fall backwards away from the wall - requiring the player to alternate feet diagonally instead (and thus move in a more natural way) - but I'm glad you had fun with our funky physics!! Maybe we'll come back to it and add more someday - we did have a bunch of other ideas that had to be cut (like a grappling hook tongue!).
Really really funny and engaging. It's a pity, there was no sign of goal :( I did not find one? :) Anyway I had great time :) Congratulations on this one!
And I like the lamp underneath the lizard! :)
Thanks so much for playing - glad you had fun! The aim is to climb to the top of the well - as you get higher the screen gets brigher to suggest you're getting close to sunlight! Unfortunately we didn't really do anything to celebrate the ending, so once you /do/ reach the top the game just starts again haha
I'm horrible at this type of games, but had a lot of fun! Really nice take on the theme as well, good one!
Glad you had fun! Thanks for playing and for the kind words!
it looks really cool, i loved playing around with the character :D
Glad you had a good time - thanks so much for playing!
Not really sure that this fits the theme (aren't all characters limbs are joined together?), but had a lot of fun :)
Hahaha it is a little tenuous... but I could also argue that the limbs are "joined together" with the wall and when you press a button they're separated? Then again, I guess that's every platformer that lets you jump! Regardless, glad you had a good time - thanks for playing!
The movements of the lizard is really amusing! The controls are pretty good, and I found it intuitive to control the lizard
Thanks so much for playing and for the kind feedback - glad you got on well with the controls!
good concept and admirable for a first attempt with new software.
Thanks for the kind words! We'll try even harder next time!
I love the idea and the lizard is absolutely cute, but listen here buddy - I will find you and I will make you QWOP like that little green goop for that anticlimactic ending. At least give me a happy trumpet audio effect! 🦎
Hahah yeah, I'm sorry the ending's so underwhelming! Truth be told, I think Jeremy only implemented the win condition right before it was time to build for the deadline... hence the relative (complete!) lack of fanfare! Were we to make it again, I'd draw some kind of end-card for sure... maybe the gecko on top of the well, posing in front of the setting sun? Thanks so much for playing though - and well done for finishing!
Amazing! This is probably my favourite game so far in this jam. I know that it is very similar to QWOP, but the concept is executed very well and the game is fun to play. I would probably prefer some other key bindings, but that far from a deal-breaker. This is a wonderful jam entry, thank you for submitting it!
Oh wow, thanks so much for the kind words! Custom key-bindings are a great shout - if we ever put more time into this after the jam, we'll definitely bear that in mind. Glad you had fun playing it!
cool atmosphere. i like the look of the lizard. makes it cool to control.
Thanks so much for playing - glad you liked it!
Hilarious and fun mechanic! I would have liked to see more done with it, but I understand that's a tall order with the complexity of the controls and the given time. Overall really unique and cool entry!
Thanks so much for playing and for the kind words! Yeah, we had to leave a lot of ideas on the cutting room floor, unfortunately - just getting it into a playable state as it is took most of the time! The original plan was to have a lizard exploring a temple (working title "Iguana Jones and the Temple of Food"), and there was also the possibly of using his tongue as a grappling hook at one point!
I like the idea! Nice sound effects as well. Although it's really hard to control it, even more than in QWOP. I played it on a keyboard, and having two sets of four keys was a bit too much for me :D
Thanks so much for playing and for the kind words! Becca really did a great job with the sounds - it's crazy how much they add to the feel! And yeah, haha - it definitely takes a bit to get used to!
