Love how well thought out the gameplay loop was in this game! Nice job!
Fun little game! Took me a while to realize you weren't supposed to HOLD right mouse button, but just click it. After I figured that out, had a good time drowning a couple dozen fisherman 😈
Really liked the interpretation of the theme, and you made a genuinely fun core mechanic!
Quite cute art, too!
I remember thinking this one was such a hidden gem when it had 30 ratings! So happy that more people have been able to see it!! Wonderfully polished and designed!!
By the way, if you like fishing, you might like farming, and if you like farming, you might like radishes, and if you like radishes, we have just the game for you!
A very good game, I really enjoyed this game. I didn't knew score was according to the fish eating the fisherman. I always thought the fisherman was diving down to get me ahaha. I guess I just learnt after trial and error on how the game works. I think my highscore is 37 after playing a few times. I like how simple the game and gameplay loop is, me eating this bait, doing the minigame which reminds me a lot of Stardew Vallery fishing minigame (for any game with fishing minigame). I like how sometimes its very slow and other times very fast, which made it not boring and quite enjoyable. I didn't know there was a timer, nor I feel the need of having a timer? maybe to discourage people from afking or taking their sweet time. I think the overall gameplay is very peaceful, the art and music especially gave me this peaceful feeling when playing which really captures the essence of essentially fishing at night. Overall quite a good game, really enjoyed myself :D would be cool to implement like a leaderboard system like our game, so that everyone who is playing can be very competitive in getting highscores. I think this game will be perfect with a leaderboard system included. Other than that, I find it quite good!
Good gameplay loop, very nice pixel art, and have an extremely solid presentation.
Got 35 as my high score. I think after a few plays it gets fairly easy, the only variation in difficulty is the speed of the timer for fishing, which I found to be somewhat insufficient for increasing the difficulty. I will say, the fish physics are very fun, I wish that jumping out of the water could be integrated into the gameplay in some way rather than just being a neat feature. In terms of presentation, I love the way the water looks, and the sprites are great as well. The music and sound effects are also very solid, they add a bit of game feel to every bite. Nice work overall!
Really liked that game, the presentation is well made, the concept is creative and enjoyable, the only weakness is that there's not much to do once you have played 2~3 times. Maybe adding other fishes (ai) that get the baits too or adding fishermen that need to be bite twice to be eat.
The presentation was really nice, with the pixel art and water effects being highlights, but i feel that gameplay wise there isnt much interesting to do, as the game just boils down to a repetitive series of quick time events, but at least along the way i was able to enjoy the stellar art on display, so i would still say it was nice
very fun! i agree with bad piggy about the bait-catching timer, but i won't pile on too much.
every aspect works together really well (i especially like the sound design). it really does feel like a reverse ridiculous fishing, with the two phases of "catching" the fishers. super well-designed, and i'm excited to see more of this post-jam. great job!
EDIT: my high score is only 12 so far, but i'll be back! :)
Got till 21 humans. Cool little arcade game.
The music stopping and the fish getting reeled up was weirdly funny tbh lol. Love the overall presentation as well.
However, I'm not really a fan of how the timer for the minigame is random for every fish though. I think it would work better if it starts slowly for the first few fish and progessively gets faster as you eat fishermen.
And this is more of a nitpick rather than a complaint, but I didn't really notice the timer in the lower right until I played through the game a few more times lol.
Regardless, this was a damn fun little arcade game. Great entry
it was strangely addicting! The gameplay is super snappy and satisfying. Great game! Definitely my favorite reversed fishing game :)
