Polished presentation and interesting game. Love the atmosphere combining the visuals and sound so well given the constraints. The gameplay was nice too, would have been useful to have even a static shadow under the character to help with the platforming sections and maybe a weight indicator for the puzzle but the game worked well either way. Great effort!
Nice game and beautiful, and you did really well considering the time limit. The only thing that made it a bit difficult was the camera view. If there is one thing to add, would be using coins for something like an upgrade or cheat.
Great work :)
I had fun with this although I did the same as Serioussamko - then found my hearts were reset to 1 so I got splatted by a spike (thought I'd could safely run past lol)
Cool game. I backtracked into the portal in the last room and ended up teleporting myself back at the beginning lol.
Nice project! Only one complaint: there are chests—I want to open them! :D
Not a bad little game. I like the little puzzles. The writing was enjoyable too. I found the camera a little challenging at times and the jumping was a little too floaty.
If you're going to work on it more, I'd suggest lifting the camera higher. I found the lighting a little harsh, but I think thats the style you were going for. I'd suggest perhaps have some dark areas and some light areas to contrast with.
With a bit more work and some more innovative puzzles, I could see this becoming a saleable game.
Nice work. The puzzles were fun and the lighting gave it a good atmosphere. I liked the variety in level design and the rhyming riddles were a cool touch. The camera did get stuck behind walls a few times but overall it played well. Would be great to see more of this.
that was a cute short game, puzzels were cool and the atmosphere is really kind to the eyes and pleasent, Great Job!
Fun little game! The torches puzzle was a little confusing because the unlit torches still produced light but overall a I had a good time with this game.
I thought I was doing great, looting so many coins. Then I found the wizard and they had a dragon's horde worth of treasure!
Very well done, putting in different ways to open passages in order to progress. I especially liked how the bride at the end appeared in pieces, one lifting up after another.
Jumping felt a bit floaty which is, I think, due to the slow animation. It controlled perfectly fine when traversing the moving platforms. I did fall to my doom once, but that was because I wanted to see if I could make it all the way without stopping. (I could, but it took two tries.)
Also, I replayed the game to find out what happens if you jump onto the edge of the wizard's room and fall off. And found out it's exactly what you'd expect.
There were a few minor camera issues when getting too close to a wall, but I think that sort of thing is unavoidable.
Good submission. You spikes around the corners got me the first time through! LOL.
Congrats! Smart take on the theme. It really felt like a D&D campaign. The controls and level design are solid, and the visuals are great. The music choices are excellent; they really emphasize the game's theme. I also really liked the puzzle writing.
I do wish you could pick up the blocks and place them on the slabs instead of just pushing them, as they can get stuck sometimes. But overall, amazing work. Well done!
Thank you so much for the kind words and thoughtful feedback! I'm really glad the D&D vibe came through and that you enjoyed the visuals, music, and puzzles — that means a lot.
You're absolutely right about the block mechanics; that's something I plan to improve in future updates. I appreciate you pointing it out!
Thanks again for playing and for the detailed review!
Definitely keep working on it. I'd like to see more enemies to kill. The style is very well done.
