You made such a nice driving game. The mechanics and overall vibes are quite lovely!

i would love if there was drifting skills and playing around with my customers 😂, part of the fun yk , i enjoyed the gameplay and it was really well polished and well made, Great Job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for your comments and for playing.  Drifting would have been cool, I'll look into it.

For a moment, I thought I was playing GTA2 :D Really cool world—everything’s already built up and it looks great. Music and sounds are also top-notch. I think I’m not a big fan of only being able to steer while moving—that felt a bit tricky to get used to. But maybe that was exactly the idea!

Developer

Thanks for your comments and for playing. If I had time I'd probably implement different control schemes.

Really liked the tiny city vibe and the top down GTA style. Good work getting that feel in, especially in a jam. Controls were a bit slippery for me at first, but I got used to it more after the upgrades. Shop was a nice touch too. I did crash a lot.. and probably hurt a lot of tiny people.. oops (haha, you should check out my game where the objective is to Hit them! so opposite lol) . Was fun though just speeding around and seeing the city come alive. Liked the music and sound as well, and the little voice bits were a nice detail. Overall it felt quite polished for a jam entry congrats

It's amazing what can be done for a gamejam, but there's always more to be done. The more I do the better I get at time management.

I played your game, it was amazing, it had a very polished look.

I think I just hurt a lot of tiny people :/

Nice work! You've done a good job making a convincing tiny world.

Developer

Thanks for playing. The tiny people will be fine, I'll reboot them.

Nice work, cool to have the shop for upgrades!

Thanks for playing.

I had fun trying it, I learnt that I am a terrible driver :D

Good work on this, solo is so much fun but difficult to fit everything in... but you managed to make that tiny city feel alive!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing.

pretty difficult but pretty fun!

Developer

Thanks for playing.

I am a terrible driver... Haha. Good job with your game. I enjoyed playing it. I did struggle with the car, so I had to keep it slow. I'm impressed with how much you were able to put in the game. Great job and keep up the good work!

Developer

Thanks for playing.

Lots of fun, but I crashed a lot :)  I like the music, well done!  That car is soap slippery so struggled to stay on the road, but it's got the GTA top down feel for sure.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing.

Nice job man I found it a little hard to control besides that good job though.

Man I love vehicle games! And a great take on the theme also! As others have mentioned, the steering was quite difficult, and other vehicles quite unforgiving in their driving haha. It got a bit better after I got the first steering upgrade, but even then I got rammed and died instantly after getting it, so didn't get much from it.  But other than that, it was great cruising around and helping out people, well done :-D

Developer

Thanks for playing. I'll try to work on it more to improve the difficulty curve. I think having multiple cars to choose from at the start would help.

Submitted(+1)

Nice game did find it hard to drive but maybe that's just part of the game but i think the car needs to be more like grippy. also maybe make it slower if it drives off the road. Overall was fun playing driving about.

Developer

Thanks for playing. I agree the steering is a little difficult, you can improve the turn if you buy the turn speed upgrade in the shop, this helps make the turning easier. The initial acceleration is a bit quick though.
I was thinking of creating a force-field type barrier for the edge of town, which keeps you in the town. I never got round to playing with the shaders though.

A nice game, but steering is difficult. Also the UI of the shop was different then the screenshot (light blue bar was extended). Maybe the start speed is too high (and therefore bumping a lot).

As you mentioned at my game: "SimplePoly City" is the same asset as I used ;-)

Developer

I see the shop has a display problem, probably those Upgrade lines extend too far on the web version but for some reason it's not  pushing the parent to resize.

"SimplePoly City" is a great asset, so easy to work with. I wish I looked at their example scene, it would've saved me a day of work where created my own!

Nice game, i like the control of the car and the trumpet when you lose jaja

Developer

Thanks for playing. I spent a while looking for free sounds.

Top-Down GTA.

Developer

Thanks for playing. That's exactly the look I was going for :-)

Submitted(+1)

Reminds me of my old days playing gta 2 on sony :D i like the aesthetic and the game is difficult you need to be a good driver :D

Developer

Thanks for playing. GTA2 was exactly the look I was going for :-) The one thing I forgot to add was the camera zooming in and out depending on the car speed.

Nice stuff!  If I had more time, I could get lost in this one for a while :)  The biggest thing I might recommend would be a small invulnerability period after getting hit.  In one of my attempts, a car turned in to me and I went from nearly full health to -34 because of multiple, instant collisions :D

Developer

Thanks for playing. The invulnerability period is a great idea. Thanks for the suggestion. Next time I'll add that in.
