This is a fun game guys. I'm very impressed that you say you didnt use any existing assets - a chicken with running shoes on is creative and hilarious. I found the 'open to work' banner hilarious as well. The assets you have created are really awesome. I liked the transition from calm slow music to fast-paced pressurised music. I liked the variability in the environment. The controls were a bit difficult in terms of their stability/predictability - I know they are probably supposed to be but it feels like they could probably be refined and tweaked a bit as you continue to work on this project.  Overall a really cool experience so thank you and great job.

Thank you for the game!  It is really impressive what you were able to do here.  The funny ogre, the size of the world, the balance of the game.  Moving the chicken around was a little difficult, but overall a great job.

Cool game idea. The aesthetics are quite nice, and talking with the goblin was funny. But the sensitivity needs to be a little lower as it rotates too fast.

I'm not good at those kind of games but I had fun nonetheless. The art and the mood are established, it's really good point. Great job !

This game reminds me of the 90s/early20s games, like Spyro. And the sliding around hard to control mechanics annoyed me then and annoys me now xD HAHAH, but you push through with pure stubburn determination xD. Was fun and quirky. I love the art style! Great job on the submission ^.^

Good game!  I like the execution and the cuteness.  The level layout was well thought out and the jumping/flapping mechanic was cool.  I think the camera angle or perspective could use a little adjustment.  It made me a little motion sick but I'm not sure why.  Maybe because the camera was too tightly stuck on the player or maybe the perspective was too jarring + tank controls.  It's weird that the "rat in the subway train" game (Teeny Raid) in this game jam didn't have the same effect on me.  Thanks for the game!

Played this before the submissions closed, fun to come back to it again. Chicken controls are hard, but it is fun zooming around. I like fast movement games, added that to mine as well.

Big chicken shoes are great, good job on the whole environment, can't believe you made it all.

Loved it. Yes, controls are frustrating, b ut also very fun and after a bit you get the hang of it a bit.  To be honest, I might even pay a few bucks if it was on Steam. Kudos for finishing such a fresh and polished game for a game jam.

Too much speed to handle! Haha really enjoyed this one! Funny story and the game is one of those "I can do better this time" that really hook you up! Impressed by the addition of powerups that you can buy at the store, all of that in just 10 days! Very impressive!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! So glad you had fun with it—and yeah, that 'just one more run' feeling is exactly what we were going for! Glad the store and powerups added to the experience. Appreciate the love!

Forgot to rate this one, so came back to rate it.

Love the chicken, love the narrative - The writing was quite funny.

Good challenge, and the mechanics for running on the walls/loops is really cool. All around a solid game.

Developer(+1)

All good, brother—really appreciate you coming back to drop a rating! Glad you enjoyed the chicken, the chaos, and the wall-running madness. Yours is on my PC too—I’m finishing it up tomorrow and will leave you a proper review as well!

I really liked the aesthetics of the game, it reminds me a lot of early-to-mid 3d games like Banjo Kazooie or Crash.

The gameplay is like Sonic (btw, I’m a big Sonic fan).

Yes, the controls have become too sensitive, and I can hardly ever move in the direction I want without slipping out, but that could just be a skill issue of mine. I couldn’t make it in time on the first few attempts, so I’ll give it another go.

Well done!

Developer

Sounds like you're 100% a real one for pushing through! But yeah... maybe 80% skill issue, 20% overly sensitive controls. Appreciate the feedback! ;)

The controls are a bit janky but its still a really fun experience. Reminds me of game I used to play when I was younger

Developer(+1)

Really glad you enjoyed it! It’s awesome to hear it brought back some memories—nothing better than a bit of gaming nostalgia.

Submitted

I loved this game, if only the controls weren't so WACK

Developer

Sorry to hear the controls didn’t feel quite right for you! I’ll make sure this feedback gets passed along to our ‘Better Controls Department’—they’re usually pretty fast, so expect a response in approximately 7 business days. Appreciate you playing!

It's a really fun game, it moves really fast, sometimes my eyes can't keep up, I keep running into things, but after playing for a while I started to get used to it.

Developer

Thanks a lot for yours review! Yep it feels quiet fast at the begging 100%

Submitted

Loved this. Only feedback I might have is to maybe when the player is low speed, give a little more precision/speed to turning to make recovering from crashes feel a little nicer, and you could keep the frustration/punishment of that by adding a short stun on impact. Incredible entry!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for Review! Since everyone hate it so much, probably I'll make it slightly more responsive for player, but the whole goal was to make it hard at the first place

Submitted

I like that its hard and punishing, just feels a little sluggish to get back into the gameplay after a crash haha

Good job. Controls are a bit slick but I assume that's part of your mechanics.

Developer

Thank you, yes it was designed in this way on purpose

I was really hoping that switching from firefox to chrome would improve the controls, but alas!

I love the writing. I like the concept. I'm terribly bad at it.

Having (re)purchasable items is a good idea. Though I never got the hang of the jetpack.

My best and only time:

Developer(+1)

Hey! Thank you for the review! your time is a decent, my best time is 2:09
Regarding the controls, I just was trying to make it hard, but not brutally hard, so maybe I should make just slightly more responsive in the future.

Submitted

I wouldn't say no to more responsive controls, but if the goal was to make it difficult that's fine too. :D

I forgot to mention, I really liked the camera switch when going up the speed boosted ramps!

Developer(+1)

Well, camera is easy. I use cinemachine since the first day I started learning unity, Rick showed it in one of his tutorials and I loved this tool, makes it super easy to work around dozens of cameras

What a crazy game…well done!

Developer

Thanks a lot for review!

Very humorous game. I find the controls problematic like you're steering an old car. Kinda reminds me of PS1 racing game physics. Impressive scope for a jam entry nonetheless.

Developer

Well, you are right cuz this is a racing game + roguelike + rage

Submitted

Really liked the sound design and how lively the world felt with the npcs and everything. Kinda crazy that you did this all in 10 days lol

Developer

Thanks! Just to be clear, 7 days for the actual development 😄 — the 8th was all about page design, and the last 2 were spent in therapy recovering from the emotional damage this game caused me 😂
