Congratulations!...You got a pretty Good overall score (It's because of the singing)..🙊❤

Developer

Thank you :)

I had that idea about 2 hours before deadline :D

Played and rated, I really like the concept of the game!

Starting from level 3 the map was very difficult to complete as there are no checkpoints, I think the addition of checkpoints would make the game less frustrating in terms of progression, and more fun to challenge :)

In terms of Audio I liked the chanting all during the gameplay, it fits the theme very well!
I like the demon voicelines, but it was most of the time not clear to understand and the volume was low.

You should check out our game, it is very similar to yours in terms of concept! https://itch.io/jam/cgj/rate/477205

Thank you for your feedback :)

I wanted it to be challenging, that's why I didn't put any checkpoints. Maybe in the last level it would help a bit

The time was too short, I didn't have time to put some subtitles :/

I've already played yours, and I really liked it :)

I like it! Sounds are kind of creepy (especially background singing) Graphics are really nice. Controls are good. Difficulty is getting high pretty fast, some checkpoints would be nice :)

Developer

Thank you for your feedback :)

I thought of checkpoints, but I didn't want it to be too easy, so I left without any chackpoints :)

Haha I loved the background singing XD The lies were fun and I enjoyed all the platforming elements you were able to implement.  Playing through felt challenging but fair. Great job! :D

Developer

Thank you :)

Yes, I wanted it to be hard :)

3D is always special in a game jam and compared to other games you handled the controls, the lies and the mechanics clean. Fun experience.

Developer

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed :)

the audio is the strong suit of the game, good job there. other than its a fun to play, fleshing some of the design choices out would make it even better.

Thank you for your feedback :)

The music is amazing! I loved the voice lines overall, actually. Super hilarious!

There was a lot of content: super amazed by how much you did in such a short time!

It feels like a game called Ben and Ed but in it's prototype phase! :D

Feel free to check out our game and rate it when you can, it'd be much appreciated :D

Thank you for your feedback, I'm glad you liked it :)

Lalalala lalala! 2 seconds after entering the game, I started laughing, because the voice is so funny. Troll game. You made some pretty decent amount of content, and level designs, which is impressive given the short timeframe.

Thank you, I'm glad you liked it :)

The creepy singing fitted perfectly with the atmosphere. It was quite hard, losing all the keys at every death was a bit disappointing but that's ok.

Developer

Thank you :)

Firstly you didn't lose keys on diing, but I felt that it was too easy that way.

Good game with a great atmosphere. If you were to update the game I would add subtitles for what the demon is saying.

Developer

Thank you :)

Yes, I wanted to do that as well, just the time was too short

Hmm when I launched your game and got into menu it did make a huge work, I mean that singing is really climatic, great job on that. Regarding the game, I almost didn't get the theme, as it took me some time to realise that you were talking in the background, maybe you should add some subtitles that would help in understanding what is said there.

Also great job on particles ;) I would just suggest that when you collect keys, your particles are being destroyed before they end and it spoils their look a bit (maybe there is loop toggled on or just lifetime is too long),

Overall, it was pretty good game, good luck!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the detailed review :)

I wanted to make some subtitles, but sadly I didn't have any time.

I didn't notice the particle issue, but now I can see it, thanks for that as well :)

I thought the difficulty was hard but mostly fair. I like the voice over, though sometimes it's a bit hard to make out what it's saying. I'm not sure what the main character is but I like the other assets and the particle effects are a nice touch. Good job!

Developer(+1)

It's a non existing creature (or now it's existing :D )

Thank you for the feedback :)

Would love to check this out and rate it.  Are you able to upload a macOS build?  You can send it to an external site (google drive, media fire, etc) and just have a link here so we can play and rate it during the rating period.

Developer(+1)

Sorry, I think I cannot build to mac without an actual macOS machine :/

But I can make a linux build if it helps

No worries!  I put Windows on my iMac so I'll be able to jump over to the Windows side and test out a bunch of games.  Thanks!
