Ranked from 26 ratings. Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.

How does the game fit the theme?
The idea is that with the randomness and the difficulty of the game some things can go really wrong and you loose all your wealth, at the same time the police is on your steps finding every location where have you been, for this reason nothing can go wrong or you loose your freedom.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
I made everything from scratch except two sprites and the cursor sprite that is from another game that I made. The music is from a page of free royalty music.

How many people worked on the game?

A pretty nice game! I loved the simple mechanics with the usage of the mouse. Tutorial was also clear which is pretty good compared to most other games which have not so great tutorials(Like mine). Anyways i think the only thing was that the game felt quite sluggish to play at the start. But thats not that big a deal. Great job!

Thanks!!

I'm really a fan of rougelikes like this, congrats man <3

Very nice idea, I would love to see it more polished :D

Developer

I'm working towards a more polished version of this game, thanks for your comment!

An impressive sorta roguelike you've built here.

Developer

Thanks ! :)

This is a really cool concept for a game! I like the idea of having to control the dealers and try and deposit cash before the cops caught them. I think the game is overall too slow, I would've been a lot more engaged if everything was moving a lot faster. Great work on the game, super cool idea!

Hello! Thank you for your comment!

Interesting idea for a game! I like controlling my dealers and trying to get better each run. Good job

Developer

Nice

This is a fun and very addictive game idea. I really enjoyed playing your game. In my personal opinion, I think controlling the dealer made my gameplay flow a bit discontinuous. I believe with a little more polishing, this could definitely be a sellable game.

Developer

Thank you!!

When it started I wasn't sue of what I am playing. But after dragging dealer on the field, everything started to make sense. Gameplay is good, but it is missing some art work or right color palette. But overall good.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Yeah that's my weak point lol

Nice! Movement was a bit tedious, but the powerups later on minimalized the issue and the solid art more than made up. Really like the visual cards for how to play the game.

Developer

Thank you for your feedback! I'm looking forward to better the movement.

Submitted

Great game! The movement felt a bit slow though, and sometimes the characters would change direction even when I didn't tell them to. Otherwise, great job!

Developer(+1)

Yeah that movement was programmed a little bit erratic, but I think that is better to give the player more control. Thanks for the feedback!

very nice concept! good job :)

It’s a very unique game and I loved it.

Submitted(+1)

Its unique game! If added the art, its fun much better!!

Developer

Thanks!
Art is not my forte :P, I'm looking forward to work with an artist for some projects

Creative use of the tools to make an interesting game. There's always something a little addicting about these kinds of snowballing resource games. Loved the colorful design and the generous sound scattered throughout to make it feel alive.

The controls felt a little frustrating, the hitbox on the little guys was small enough that I'd occasionally send them in the wrong direction, and sometimes they'd randomly change direction half a second after nudging them. Maybe a bigger circle for the clicks, or a drag and drop thing so they go in the direction you pull them until you let the mouse go?

Developer

Thanks for your comment!

I'm now considering the drag and drop thing, that seems like a cool addition, maybe I'll check and evaluate a rework of the movement and the same movement with some tweaks.

Submitted(+1)

The concept and music immediately drew me in. I did get a bit stuck with the dealer controls, as sometimes clicking didn’t seem to do anthing, and the UI felt a little off. With a few tweaks for clearer visual feedback, I think this game could be even more engaging. Overall, it was a fun, quirky experience!

Developer

Thank you for your comment!

I'm thinking about adding visual feedback to the sales (how much money it earned) and also add a simbol to the persons that spawned, like a small glowing S.

With the UI, was the aesthetic/color pallete that make it feel a little off or that some elements overlap (bug lol) or something else?

Submitted(+1)

I mean overall UI design, buttons size and position, text size on them and so on. Color palette for UI is fine, but you can definitely make it better though.

Submitted(+1)

Great concept and the mechanics show lots of potential, maybe a little work to be added graphic wise and in the clarity of UIs, but overall already a really enjoyable game, well done !

Developer

Thank's for your feedback!

I don’t know how you found the time to create a tutorial for it. Props to you :O

It’s such a cool concept, a bit unfortunate about the graphics part and perhaps UX could be a little better too. I don’t see a lot of visual feedback, on my actions which is important to get a new player hooked I think.

Other than that, you’ve put a great game out there. Nice work, especially considering you joined solo.

Developer

Thanks for your feedback!
In Godot if you have an UI element you can configure it so the mouse cannot click anything (UI related) under it, using this I made a function that after a click it hides the UI element. With this approach I managed to build the tutorial on time.
About the graphics what elements should be upgraded on a future update? (ignoring UI)

Submitted(+1)

Oh, that’s a neat way to do that indeed. I’ll keep this in mind, thanks!

The graphics: Mostly just the map on the left, I didn’t feel like that fits well into the rest of the style. Like the border tiles with a B and the cops with a C. If this was the style you were going for, the dealers and buyers should also be displayed with a letter in the tile. (and vice versa of course)

Cool game idea, tutorial UI made me buy one of the dealers at the start which was the only major issue I had, woulda liked the money to be rounded up, but the gameplay was really cool and the tutorial was clear, nice choice of music.

Developer(+1)

Yeah! thats a bug and a feature (LOL), because I want that the player start the game with a dealer if not the game could break, without this bug I had to create another function and my mind couldn't. I'll fix the money issue though :D

Submitted(+1)

Such an interesting concept! I had a few issues with the UI scaling were things were overlaping but it was mostly(?) fixed resizing the game window. I also had some trouble moving the dealers, from what i got i had to click on them but it seemed that they would change direction randomly as i clicked, not sure if that had to do with the scaling :S

Besides all of that the concept was really easy to understand and get into! Good job! It's really fun!

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks for your feedback!
Yeah, the dealers movements are programmed to follow the grid, and the movement of the dealers also were programmed that way, but now I think that is better to move the dealer regardless of the grid giving the player more control.
Because it's an upgrade of the game I didn't apply it :P

What is your screen resolution so I can test the UI of the game?

Submitted(+1)

I think it has to do with the aspect ratio, it's 21:9 2560x1080 that's why they were overlapping. Cheers

Submitted(+1)

played and rated! Very funky music, some really nice concepts, and a surprising amount of people wanting to buy drugs!

Developer

Thank you for your feedback!
Yeah that's a lot of people lol
