Nice game man. The art for the portraits is pretty and it's a pretty relaxing game. Nice work on it :)

How does the game fit the theme?
You're in a world where everything is seemingly perfect and nothing can go wrong. But there's something off about it.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Music from Dova Syndrome
Ding sound effect from pixabay
Some code used from various Youtube tutorials
The player's walking and standing sprite were made by me but before the jam started.

That was really really good, it reminded me a lot of the game Dreaming Mary.
The writing is also really good, I got both endings just to get more lines from the characters!
Appreciate the time put into the story and art of this one! Liked the mechanic of helping the fox character through the level. Great work!
Really nice game! The art is incredible and the sounds are awesome! Really liked the way you tell the story!
This game is absolutely incredible! I loved the story and plot twist at the end :)
Love the art and premise, cant wait to find out about the second ending ;)
Really nice game! the visuals and audio are very nice and like kinda soothing if you know what i mean lol
i enjoyed it a lot, especially the art!
What a cosy game, I love the art style and the characters are very peculiar and cute! The dialogue had a good balance of funny and strange which moved the story along nicely, the platforming felt a tad off but there wasn't a punishment for failing which was nice :) Overall it's a lovely experience, thanks for taking the time to make this :D
I'm so glad you liked it! This was my first time making a platformer, so I knew that it probably wouldn't be perfect. That's why I made it impossible to "die" or fall off the map. If I ever make another platformer, I'll definitely try to make the platforming better! I saw your comment on my community post and will check out your game when I get the chance!
Your game really sets a mood, well done ^_^ I love the characters too
I tried playing the game again to get the second ending but I think one of the items didn't appear? :O Maybe I'm going crazy o_o" but shouldn't the shade girl leave after I go there though?

It's very nice especially with the atmosphere and art! It's a nice compact but packed story and the gameplay feels solid, while the platforming isn't very fluid it works fine without issue. And there's a bit of a world to explore.
Lovely game, nailed the cute-but-uneasy atmosphere! The story is short, but what is there in terms of dialogue and cutscenes works well and both endings feel complete. I really liked the character portraits, the low-res but not quite pixel-art style fits well with the rest of the visuals. The tileset is a bit simple, but works pretty well thematically, giving off a bit of childish vibe.
Some feedback if you want:
- text is quite blurry, a higher project resolution for Dialogic and all other text and sticking the low-res platforming world into a subviewport would be a solution. Another would be using a pixel font at the right font size.
- a few transitions are pretty jarring, with the default clear color being briefly visible.
- the platforming controls are pretty stiff, I'd suggest adding some camera drag and smoothing, as well as accelerations to the player character (accelerate to your target jump/run velocity over a few frames instead of instantly setting it).
Nice game still, I had a great time playing!
Thank you for the feedback and I'm glad you enjoyed my game! I had no idea about the text and the blurriness so I'll try to look into it to see if it can be fixed in the future. And yeah, I noticed the jarring gray transitions, but wasn't sure how to fix it and didn't have time! I'll definitely try to fix that in my later projects. Thanks again for the feedback! I'll be sure to implement them in my future projects.
I got both endings! Great little game! If I had one small piece of feedback, it's that I think spacebar would be better for jumping (and progressing dialogue) than using W and mouse click. Good luck!
How many sheep did you have to find? I found two, and then I kind of got lost.
I love this game! The writing is really good and the story is very compelling! I've experienced both endings, and I really like the atmosphere and flow of the story. The art is really cute, the whimsical colour palette really helps sell the whole premise of the world being seemingly perfect. The characters are all beautifully designed. Each character feels unique and has a different personality. The music also had a big impact on the overall atmosphere, you've designed this game very well! Overall, this was a very enjoyable and captivating experience. Good job!
