What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Music from Dova Syndrome
Ding sound effect from pixabay
Some code used from various Youtube tutorials
The player's walking and standing sprite were made by me but before the jam started.

I really liked the game's theme and universe. I found the platforming a little difficult at times. I like the fact that it can have two different endings. Great job!

Thank you!

That was fantastic! I really liked the ominous theme, and you've implemented the dialogue plugin really well. Godot is great for that, huh?

The platforming was pretty difficult at points 😳👍 I would've liked the jumping to look more responsive (it felt great) but that's the problem with a jam haha. Excellent character art and cute pixel sprites 🧡🧡

Developer

Thank you! Sorry about the platforming! I didn't mean for it to be too difficult, but this was my first time making a platformer. If I make one in the future, I'll definitely try to work more on the difficulty and platformer mechanics. Thanks for playing!

Very cool, loved the art of the characters, and the fact they change facial expressions

Developer

Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it!

nice art!

Great work with the character designs and the art, and I love the atmosphere overall as well as how it ties into the theme! You definitely nailed it with it feeling somehow "too peaceful".

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I’m glad I was able to get the message I wanted across!

William and Sly vibes if Sly was evil and ignored mental health issues

Developer

I’ve never heard of that game, but I’m glad my game was able to get the message across that I wanted it to!

It's a classic platformer flash game from uhh 2009?? I'M OLD

Developer

If it was in 2009, then I was definitely too young to know about it. But I looked it up and it looks interesting!

Very atmospheric world... something definitely seems off about it, great choice of music and aesthetics

Developer

Thank you! I’m glad you liked it!

Artwork is full of expression! Very cute. “Buttons you’ve never looked better!” lol

Another Godot engine developer yay!

I like your dialogue system, did you do this from scratch?

(Gone forever)… next time maybe I’ll be mean to them… hah!

I really loved all the character arts! Nice and simple platforming too

Developer

Thank you!

Interesting story and great character portraits! The pixel art was good too (though I found the ground tiles quite repetitive). I also wish the lamb task some sort of counter to show how many lambs you got and how many you need.

Developer

Hi, I was planning on adding a counter, but ran out of time. Thank you so much for playing and for the critique!

I really liked the artwork and the combined visual novel style with platform game play.

Thank you!

Delightful experience. I love the art and character designs.  I was gone forever on my first playthrough, but did not understand how to get the second ending, well done.

Edit: Other people already mentioned coyote time, important! look into that!

Developer

Thank you! I'll look into coyote time! A hint for the second ending: go to the very very top of the map.  You may need some items to get by.

Its very beautiful (the poor stuffed animal) ! DID I COLLECT A WHOLE SHEEP?! hahahaha Maybe you could expand on this game more? I relly liked it, also maybe make the spaces a bit bigger at some points. For example if i wanted to go trough tunnels, they were too narrow to jump around. I would also give you a hint to improve the game even further. Do you know what koyotejump is? Its a really cool way to improve the player jumping experiance. You controlls already did feel good and adding a koyote jump would be a good idea for a 2d platformer!  Here is a link to a tutorial, he explains to you what a koyote jump is in the first minutes :) Coyote Time & Jump Buffering In Unity

Developer

Thank you for all the feedback! I did consider adding Coyote time, but didn't have enough time and didn't know how! But I'll definitely try to add it in any other platformers I make. I know that can really improve the experience. Thanks again for playing and reviewing my game!

Beautiful visuals!

Developer

Thank you!

Well done ! I really enjoy both endings, great vibe  and no hiccups in gameplay :)

Developer

Thank you! I’m so relieved that there aren’t any apparent bugs!

Swirl is such an optimist...

Developer

Indeed he is!

Liked the game, totally the type of experiences I look for in jams.

The art is very endearing and the map enough of a maze that I almost felt like drawing a map (I get lost easily). Really enjoyed completing both endings.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Yeah, others said the map was a bit maze-y too. I didn’t have enough time to make a map of the place. But hopefully it’s not too confusing!

absolutely looooooove the character designs!!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! That was my favorite part to make!
