The game starts with the player desprately needing money after the great 'Financial Crash'. He gets a job as a banker at a time when crime rate is really high, and everyone needs money.
At the end that decision costs him greatly.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
All the code, music, drawings and a part of the sound effects were made from scratch. Only thing that isn't is a few SFX

An interesting game! I love how the gun actually has recoil. Thought i think more of a handheld tutorial would be nice to guide the player. Good game though overall!

This was an interesting game, I like the idea of having to rush through pretty basic bank tasks, but things like a missing negative or clicking the wrong loan amount could cause big problems! I'm not sure if it was intended, but about halfway through the game I started having the local thief between every customer, and apparently angry customers would get into (get back into?) line.

It's a fun concept, and I think it would work really nicely with an underlying story for the characters and interactions (e.g., do I give Robert ANOTHER loan after his third company fails??)

Developer

Thanks a lot! the theif thing actually was not intended lmao we forgot to change some values 😪

Thanks for playing :)

Really liked the concept! The aesthetic reminded me of "The Escapists".

I'm not sure if I was doing things wrong, leading to the attacks. Since you couldn't enter decimal numbers, I tried both giving or keeping an extra cent, though neither appeased the clients. Vladislav always received the same amount yet attacked me multiple times.

Regardless, the game loop potential is right there. Keep up the good work!

Developer

Wierd... i actually have no idea why that happend, weve never encountered that..

Thanks a lot, we'll look into that :)

Really fun concept and good execution! The game was a bit difficult to pick up at first but overall wound up being pretty fun! Great job :D Though the font was a bit meh.

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks! yea we're probably gonna change that font 😅

Cool game. It reminded me off Papers Please, but with the twist that you have to fight for yourself. I am impressed by the art, music storytelling etc. you managed to do in one week as a team of 3.

Developer

Thanks a lot! we apprecuate that :)

Nice game, the first time I went through it, I seemed to get a softlock after the second "customer" aka bank robber, but after running again it was good. I think the game could use a bit more guidance in the beginning, but other than that, good stuff!

Developer

yea were aware of this bug, and its being fixed atm!

thanks a lot for playing :)

Really liked the concept :) Font is a little bit difficult to read

Developer

thanks! yea we should really change that font.. 😪

The idea is awesome and the implementation is pretty good, though sometimes clients seem to kinda overreact :)
The robberies did not seem very challenging and are just minor inconveniences that just have you to press a button and the robber is gone. Also sometimes there are some mistaken fantom inputs that falsely accept the action when Im not finished yet.

Overall, great work! The game is straight to the point and implementation is well scoped so I do really think that you guys really have a great potential to become really great indie devs, keep it up!

P.S. And a slight tech tip for your future works or for polishing this one - check out 9-slicing for the sprites in Unity so that the corners dont stretch unequaly

Developer

Thanks a lot! we really apprecuate that :)

also thanks for the tip!

Really chaotic fun this game, not sure where it leads to eventually but it was a fun game

A lot of cool concepts.

Needed a bit of time to get use to the font.

Developer

Thanks, we appreciate that :)

Cool game ! I love the mood ! (i'm a big fan of that kind of top down pixel art visuals ahah) Remind me paper please ect

Developer

Thanks a lot! we appreciate that :)

Cool game! That escalated very quickly haha. Reminds me of paper please, great fun. I suggest having more variety of customers (or maybe using a round robin randomness to avoid having like 3 times the same customer in a row). A very fun concept, love it!

Developer(+1)

yup we're working on all of that lmao

thanks!

Submitted(+1)

Very fun concept, gets a teensy bit repetitive when you keep cycling through the same few customers but overall really fun :D

Developer

Thanks! were working on an update for this for after the jam, so you can leave a follow if that interests you :)

Submitted(+1)

Very cool idea and execution, but I wish there were more clients since I kept getting the same three guys

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! we are actually working on an update for after the jam fixing excatly that! so if that intertersts you, you can leave us a follow :)

Loved the art! Gameplay had Papers Please vibes with more violence lol One of the NPCs kept just walking at me and I wasn't sure if he was attacking or what, so maybe some additional animations would help telegraph what was happening. Surprised how much was accomplished in 7 days! Great work!

Developer(+1)

thanks a lot! we actually made it in only like 3 or 4 lmao :D

Loved the concept, the theme and the art style, good job to you three ;)

Developer

thanks!

There are things in place for a good game to exist, but they feel disconnected. Considering this is a jam you did well setting up what you've got and it mostly works bugless, it just needs more variety and coherency!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! we are actually working on making exactly that lol

you can come back a few days after the jam and see what we're working on :)

Submitted

Will do! We would appreciate it if you check out our game too!

Developer

Yupp checking yours rn! i just had to finish something lol

The idea of a game about finance for the theme was clever! I saw a few bugs, but considering the other comments, I understand that's the jam effect (I won't consider it in my ratings).

I think the Papers Please-like style is really well-suited for a bank, bravo for this idea. Maybe the combat system wasn't even necessary!

I laughed a lot after losing my money by investing in a random crypto x)

Quick question: Can the game be finished?

Developer

Thank you so much! We appreciate that a lot :)

as for your question, of fucking course it will be. we're working on an update for after the jam right now! without spoiling it too much, we're planning on adding a lot more content and depth to the game and of course fix as much of the bugs weve found so far as we can, so you can leave us a follow if youre interested in that :D

Submitted

Really interesting idea. Something like Papers, please, but with combat system and humor. But why robber come so often?

Developer

we accidentally left the chance for a theif to spawn too high from testing and forgot to change it back
