Sorry to randomly post a question in your comments but theres not really any way to get in touch with people on itch, can i ask what software you used for the animations and visuals in this game? I'm very new to game deving and am trying to wrap my head around vector graphics...

Can't LoseSure, no worries! The game engine is Godot, and the vector graphic software is Inkscape. In this game, all animations are made directly in-engine (Inkscape does not support animation).
More details on how it's done: The animations use the basic AnimationPlayer node in Godot.
The player character is a bit more involved. It uses a Skeleton2D (allows you to setup an armature with bones and IK). And some parts of the player are made of polygons and lines that follow Bézier curves (Path2D in Godot) with custom scripts to adjust the line/polygons dynamically.
And then finally there's the reveal color effect which I'm doing with a custom godot shader.

Played and rated! Really interesting game, not sure i every really figured out the dialog system though. Visuals, art style and animations where incredible, i have no idea how you made something that looks that good in a one week jam! really great effort :)

I went through the game completely because I really liked it. The second day was sad when the colors disappeared and it seems I quarreled with wife. This is a very cool result for a jam! At the moment, this is the only game that I don't know what to criticize for, because it's flawlessly. I hope once I can also make such cool games. Good luck!

Wow, this game is beautiful! So heartwarming at the start, halfway through I was like "oh no..." Would absolutely play the full game, I feel like the story can't end that way! ... but thats how it goes. Totally enthralled by this one, great work! How did you achieve the color overlays?

Every Minute MattersHey, thanks for playing Bleached! The colors overlay is done with a shader in Godot. Basically I have two versions of each sprite (one colored, one bleached) and I swap parts of the sprite dynamically with a shader.

I didnt really understand what was going on, or what the goal was. In the train there is a meter, but i dont think i saw it anywhere else, and im not sure if my choices matter. The mood and art are great and I cant wait to see where its going.

Nothing Can Go WrongUnderstandable, there's no real 'goal' per se in this game, other than passing the time by filling your day with activities. In the subway, interacting with things makes time pass, etc. Right now the choice don't matter (it's a linear game) but in the final version I'm planning for the choices to matter. Thanks for your time!very cool and relaxing game, the art is cute and polished. wish it had more content. however, I don't get the meaning of the symbol in conversations and the consequence of it. I guess if choosing the same symbols in conversation over time, it gets bored? Because on the second day, I see the range of the colored circle is smaller and more black and white space, meaning life gets boring and mundane?
