How does the game fit the theme?
I tried to fit the theme by adding these restrictions to how you play your cards that would keep building up as your progress. Unfortunately, I did not have much time to actually integrate this.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Assets from Kenny

Fun game. There are a couple of bugs here and there, but overall, it's very impressive that you made a game like this in a week. The art and sound were both great. Very unique and fun game.

I really really love the gameplay. It just needs a few bugfixes and polish. I hope you plan to update this because i really want to play it more.

This is really fun to play!

Although the UI, art and animations seem incomplete, it still felt pretty fun playing it, just left some polishing to do and it will be perfect.

Great work!

This one really has potential, pretty unique idea and great execution, one of my most played this jam so far

I think the game has potential, I like the idea of adding buildings and make the town grow. Hope you continue working on it!

Hey! the game had potential, has some struggles with understanding UI and the card was covering the tiles so I was just placing the buildings randomly. As a solo dev and with a week I think the game is great!

Cool game, I spent quite some time on it. You could add some sort of display for which building restriction you chose. At one point I couldn't place barracks anywhere on the map and I don't know why. Also the game didn't let me further than 39 lvl. But still cool game!

Thanks for playing, yeah there is a bug the seems to happen after "shuffling" the discard pile back into the draw pile.

This is a really good base for an actual game. I like the fog of war, and turned based elements. The towers, cards, and random upgrades you get are neat. I wish I could choose what cards appear in my deck so I can manipulate the probability of getting a tower for example. I also found it a bit hard to tell if my buildings were low on health without hovering over them, maybe a change in the model to indicate it's damaged would help. I did get into a good flow state with this game and can't wait to see your next!

Developer

Thanks! I was hoping to add in a way to add/remove/upgrade cards that you have, but didn't get the time.

I really like the game board, but wished the UI was abit more polished. I really liked seeing the village grow as you play. Good job!

Neat idea! Would love to see this fleshed out a little more

I liked the concept, I think a solid goal to complete a level will add focus to gameplay. Good job!
