Thanks! (And no I didn't bite into a raw onion haha)

thanks!

Thanks for playing and glad you enjoyed it! Fair point that only 2 goes is a bit short, I just wanted to keep the game not too long for the jam, but I think there could indeed be a far better way of constructing it to allow for more practice and maybe make the games harder. thanks again

Ah so glad you made it to the end! Thanks for all the compliments :) - I think I will definitely polish this after the jam (sort out some of the sprite sort orders for a start!) and think about releasing it. Thanks again!

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it :)

Ah good work!! Thanks for playing, nice one on solving the crime, and thanks for the tip! Forgot to make the canvas for E to enter... scale to screen size. Thanks again!

Thank  you so much! Extremely nice to hear this level of enthusiasm. :)

Really appreciate you streaming it! I just watched the stream and despite my very limited knowledge of Italian was awesome to hear you all enjoying it so much!

One tip if you go back to it (which I should have made much clearer in game.) you get a maximum of 2 interviews per round to get the 3 points to find out if they’re innocent. After that you can’t interview them any more (until a retry). If you’ve done all interviews then in the notebook it says either INNOCENT or ??? Depending whether you won or not. Also anyone already declared innocent can’t be interviewed any more.

Would be great if you could revisit and get to the end and see the ending! Annoying that it crashes though :( as far as I can tell that was itch not me! Understand if playing through it again after the crash is a hassle though.

Thanks again. Massively appreciate hearing how much you enjoyed it! :)

Cheers

(And if I do release it I'll definitely reach out to you about an Italian translation! :) )

thank you!

Glad you enjoyed it! You should be able to play the Tarrant game again on retry if you failed first time? Or could you play it again after succeeding? If so might be a small bug.. thanks for playing!

Very interesting idea. I also feel like a direct input to be able to accurately tweak stuff would be nice. On releasing the mouse button it would mostly just skip to a value nearish to where I left it. But I really did enjoy trying! Good job.

Enjoyable game. Not used to such relaxing combat as don't often play turn based games, but it was fun. Good job!

One of my favourite's so far. Very addictive and satisfying gameplay. A simple idea that just works. Great job.

Lots of potential here. Looks great and feels great to control. Couldn't help noticing that others have similar feelings about the lack of direction. I think if there was a CLEAR goal in this game (like collecting all treasures, UI to show how many more you needed, a feeling of start leading to a finish) then I would definitely have wanted to stick around to the end. As it was after 5 minutes or so of finding water, and finding one jewel, I realised I didn't know what was expected of me so I stopped. But it is a cool game world and needs very little work to make it a great game to play.

Enjoyed this.

Great job. Amusing lacklustre voice acting, the little enemies are annoying in a fair way haha. Enjoyed this.

I like this. Like the techno (good choice of vaguely acid-techno loop that doesn't sound too repetitive when you keep dying etc..), - game is simple to grasp and the general vibe is awesome. Didn't get the waves part? Otherwise great job.

This has potential. The back story was charming, and it felt like a pleasant world. I feel like the mouse sensitivity was way too high, but that's an easy fix. The camera was maybe locked too low (maybe even as high as looking from almost above the boat would still feel fine) and the camera could also go under water which doesn't work so well. I would definitely add some boat throttle sound, and other ambient sounds that continue into gameplay. Making a target arrow was a good idea - but it might be better if you used an edge of the screen arrow that always pointed in the direction you have to go than a physical world object.

I'm not being negative though, - I think it has potential to be a good experience, just saying some things I think need to be worked on to get there :) Good job!

Yeah this is a nice idea. Mini-games would have been nice but understand time constraints. A nice way to tell a story anyway.

Found myself playing it for quite a while. Pretty relaxing. Like others I didn't seem to be able to die, but maybe I missed the point there. Good effort though generally.

Thanks!

Thanks and thanks for playing!

Thanks!

Love this. It looks and sounds really cool. Generally a very good entry but for a first ever game jam very good indeed!

Really well presented game. Satisying collecting asteroids and destroying alien ships. I only feel movement is a bit sluggish and would benefit from slightly less momentum, - maybe it's just me but I didn't feel very in control of the ship. But generally ery good job!

Neat little puzzle platformer. I think the mechanics are fairly clean (though had some trouble with not being able to emit waves in tight corners where I'd already started a wave there through them colliding.) I would maybe make the movement controls more snappy with less momentum, sometimes it asks for precision when climbing up through platforms and you glide off and might feel nicer if it was tighter. Overall good job!

Thanks for playing. Glad you found it fun! Sprite sort orders are a bit of an issue sometimes I know, - I think sometimes I accidentally left things on the same sort order and they rendered fine when testing, but sometimes fight for attention on the web version. Will fix after the jam.  Thanks again!

Thanks for playing and glad you loved the game!

I tried to play test as much as I could but overlooked some colliders in the cabin it would seem :( thanks for letting me know.

Sprite sort orders I thought I’d mostly sorted (there were still some with Jenkins’ hair that I left in as they often looked funny, like his hair suddenly being over his face in one scene and Peugeot being able to walk under it), but understand it might not look intentional!

Regarding endings, in the end I had 2, game complete and game fail (same for each wrong guess), so unless you got it on the first go you saw both the endings :)

Thanks again and will check out your game this week!

Ah je bent Nederlands! Grappig genoeg kom ik zelf uit Londen maar woon al 20 jaar in Nederland, - maar je heb mijn accent onder de knie ;) Jij ook succes nog!

F***in' nailed it, shame you didn't make the intro characters out of circles and pentagons though innit. Only mark down though, otherwise it's proper 'avin' it. Bosssh.

Great game. Simple concept executed really well. Mouse (or touch screen on mobile) controls feel like the right choice, and mouse responds well, but I feel like it could do with being quite a lot less sensitive, so that you feel more in control. High score on the menu screen wasn't updating for me. I think I got 4 or 5 but it showed a 0 on the main menu. For your first published game this is an absolute winner! Great job.

This game looks fantastic. My only gameplay criticism would be that it feels like there's too much acceleration/momentum in the movement. Would feel more satisfying if it was snappier and take away some frustration. Generally good job!

Loved this. Fully captured the feeling of elation at beating someone to one of the last parking spots. Would maybe like a more classic control sceme, maybe mouse click to accelarate and RMB to park keeping the WASD and space. Generally though this is a very solid entry indeed.

Really liked this once I got into it. Satisying to score, great sound design with the key of the bumps complimenting the music. Maybe slightly more hand holding as to how to stop? Had to read the comments as I think I missed it the first time. Generally though really good job.

Game feels like it has a lot of potential. Sound effects and the style of it are great.

Gameplay-wise it is enjoyable but I feel like it would benefit from more clarity about controls and what they do. Maybe a short tutorial for the introduction of each mechanic, and that maybe the keys for each new mechanic are visible subtly on screen after they are introduced? It felt like too many controls and uses to remember in the time I had. But I think the game could be really great

Love the look of the game.  Concept is cool. It's pretty frantic. Sounds fit the old-school vibe. Good job!

Really sorry for the bug, - I missed that. I think because of rushing playtesting the web version. In the editor version the scene load is marginally slower, so I just took my finger off the key, - transition is really fast on web hence the bug. I'll make a quick edit post jam to move the player to the top of the screen instead of the bottom on loading that scene. Thanks again

Glad you liked the game and really sorry for the bug, missed that! :(

Thanks for playing, I missed that bug :( Thanks for letting me know!

Ok cool :) thanks again for playing!
