I know I'm super late to be playing this one, but I just did and I played it through. It was fun and I enjoyed finding out what the new mechanics would be. The character controller could be a bit tighter, and some of the exploits could be patched (ironically), such as the ability to place a laser on top of itself several times over. I loved how the elements all interacted with each other, especially seeing the laser scatter dangerously from the shredder. I could see this as a very fun mobile phone game. Not sure if the levels could be procedurally generated, though, which means coming up with new levels could be very time consuming.
This game was great! The best moment for me was the one where you rotated the spike block. I was like woah... This concept has so much potential. One of the jam games that really managed to hook me. Great work.
This minimalistic puzzle game is really cute and I would love to see more! It's a really clever idea for a game dev theme. Though, gameplay feels a little slow with all these long transitions and low player speed. Of course, there are some bugs and unintended easy solutions, but it is still huge for a week game jam, well done!
A really fun and cute game! I laughed many times playing this! Every transitions is polished, The art style is simple and good. The concept is also really innovative. Well done and great job!
so glad you enjoyed it! :)
Really great job!
Love the simple art style, the controls might need a bit of work, got stuck on the edge of blocks a few times.
The level design is really good, each level introduces a new concept, great job on that!
Overall a fun experience!
Thanks for playing, so glad you enjoyed it! :)
Really beautiful game. I like the simple art, the puzzles are interesting, the sounds and music fits perfect with the game. Really great... good job! :)
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! :)
I like this kind of puzzle game but I don't understand what it has to do with the theme of the Jam.
Thanks for checking it out! It ties into the theme because you're building the level, and level design is an element of game development :)
Smart gameplay, good level design, nice learning curve, cute character, fun music, lot of content. Wow, awesome work!
Thanks for playing, glad you enjoyed it :)
This game is amazing! Quite a large number of levels which increase in difficulty. The way mechanics are introduced is very intuitive, and overall the game was very innovative. I really like the art style as well as the sounds & music. Theme goes well, and the mechanics tie in to that. A fun experience that keeps the player guessing until the end!
Thank you so much for checking it out, glad you enjoyed it! :)
It's a fun puzzle game that tingles my gears very well. The graphics are very interesting.I like that the whole game looks like a blueprint. And also thanks a lot for adding the level selection,it really helped me a lot. (I was stuck on a level and really wanted to see the rest of the game,so props for adding that menu)
So glad you enjoyed it! :)
overall very fun, the puzzles are very well made and the nature of the mechanics allows for a lot of creative solutions. I really like how mechanics like moving blocks and rotations, and tasers and sawblades interact with each other. Espesially the splitting effect that comes when a tazer lazer hits a sawblade.
My biggest problem is that the game is very slow paced, the transitions especially are VERY slow.
So glad you enjoyed it! I made it slower because I wanted players to be able to focus on placing items rather than running through the level quickly, though I'm now thinking I could have included a "Game Speed" slider so that players could decide that for themselves.
Thanks so much for playing, I really appreciate the feedback :)
Very cool! A neat puzzling mechanic, ingenious levels, and I like the artstyle a ton. Felt like I was really in the planning stage of something with the whole blueprint feel, and having the blocks looked stitched together was a nice touch.
Thank you for playing! So glad you enjoyed it :)
This game is quite similar to my own game! Puzzle are quite fun and entertaining and the art style is really nice.
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you for playing :) I'm going to check out your game when we stream next, it looks awesome!
Difficulty curve was perfect for me! that coupled with excellent level design and really clever rules made it really smooth and interesting! i enjoyed every second of it
one minor thing: grounding detection or whatever you guys used got a bit crazy when i landed on corners, but that's about it :)
So glad you enjoyed it! After the jam is over I'm hoping to rework some of the physics/ground detection, and make the boxes actually crush you.
Thank you so much for playing :)
This is one of the best puzzle games I've playied in this jam so far!
I loved the art, it felt like I was part of a blueprint. The music fit very well with this game, and the puzzles were really smart! i couldn't finish this, the puzzles started getting very hard, but I'll definitively try again later!
Congrats for your game! ^^
Thank you so much! :D
Love the choice of music! And a great idea for a game fitting the theme -- build your own platformer!
The play of the game felt a little unresponsive to me though. I would suggest that when you make animations/controllers you make the character start moving right when the player tries to move. It felt like I was playing in molasses!
Wonderful idea and cute execution.
Review my game in turn! https://kaleido.itch.io/balance
I'll absolutely check out your game! In fact, we'll be playing it on our Twitch channel along with others from the jam starting tonight :)
I had a few different people test the game during development, and some of them had problems with the controls not being responsive, while others had no issue. I'm wondering if it may be a result of the way Unity's Update functions work (physics, time, frame rate, etc.), and me not setting it up correctly to account for different systems :/
That said, I'm glad you enjoyed the idea! Thanks for checking it out :)
Graphics are really cute. I liked the gameplay too. But it gets hard too fast for me
Getting the difficulty curve right was probably the toughest part! I ended up adding the Level Select screen so everyone could see every level, even if things got too difficult. Thanks for checking it out, glad you mostly enjoyed it :)
